Primary reason

We all wish to have members like Zoron on our rosters. Activity levels off the charts, friendly and like by the clan members, willing to jump in where he sees a need. If I could design an ideal member Zoron would probably be about as close as I could get.

Since his last recognition nearly a year ago Zoron has participated in 117 competitions, including 21 in the Rites of Supremecy. He has earned 4 nova in the recent vendetta two gold and two bronze. A total of 74 crescents have been won, 219 Clusters of Fire and 902 Clusters of Earth.

Even before becoming Proconsul, Zoron was a valued member of the Clan Summit chat, offering his wisdom and experience from a litany of positions he has held over the years. He also took it upon himself to take on the Clan Wiki pages. He reworked the pages to make them more cohesive and fixed grammatical errors and retooled the templates to better represent Vizsla. His edits to the Wiki have been ongoing for months now.

His and Farrin’s assistance in creating, updating, and management of several Spreadsheets has greatly helped me in my work of making sure that the members of Vizsla are recognized and awarded for their contributions to the clan and brotherhood at large.

Sometimes I wonder where Zoron finds time for all that he does. Then I remember a saying, “You make time for the things you love.” There is no doubt that Zoron loves his clanmates, his clan, and the brotherhood. You simply don’t put forth the effort levels that he does if you don’t care. It is with great pleasure that I present this award to you for all you do for Vizsla and the Brotherhood.

Primary reason

Ever since Aylin became one of my Magistrates she has always been ready to take on tasks by herself and has been willing to learn how to tackle new things. She's incredibly versatile when it comes to drawing art and is always available to handle new graphic requests on Trello.

3-months since Aylin started working in the Herald's office she has completed the Combat Master's website graphics and 2 high-quality warbanners. She professionally handled all the communication between her and the requesting member for the final graphics approval.

Aside from the work, she does as a Magistrate she also maintains a constant presence in DB Art chat, showing off her own personal work, interacting with members, and keeping the place in a positive spirit.

Keep up the good work!

Mistress Aphotis, 2021-07-26 18:25:21 UTC
Additional reasons

Since her last recognition, a promotion to EQ3 in September of 2019, Aylin has been a quiet but steadily active presence in Taldryan. She's participated in 72 competitions, earning a Gold Nova and Silver Nova in GJW XIV last year, along with 2 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 8 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 12 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 5 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, and 1 Crescent with Emerald Star. She's contributed 10,920 words of fiction and 4610 words' worth of run-on posts for a total of 34 Clusters of Ice, and earned 89 Clusters of Graphite in graphics competitions. She also received a Seal of Loyalty in May of this year for her continued contributions to Taldryan.

Besides her dossier-tracked activities, Aylin has participated in multiple "unofficial" co-op fiction activities with various members of Taldryan. In total, this accounts for approximately 20,000 words of fiction not accounted for in her dossier statistics.

In light of her consistent exceptional activity over the last two years, I'm pleased to contribute to Aylin's nomination for an Amethyst Kukri. Congratulations!

Lucine Vasano
Primary reason

Qyreia is probably one of the hardest working members of Arcona. She works in multiple leadership positions, consistently participates in club-related activity and still finds time to produce entries of such quality that she has achieved placement in the top three for the last two Vendettas. She is truly a force to be reckoned with.

She was promoted to EQ4 in February of 2020, which was her last Clan recognition. Since then, she has been exceedingly active. Qyreia has organized 16 competitions, co-organized 2 and has participated in an impressive 116 competitions. This has earned her a veritable raft of clusters (27 Fire, 172 Ice, 197 Earth, and 45 Graphite). She also consistently places in competitions, and has earned a total of 61 Crescents (4 Diamond, 5 Ruby, 19 Amethyst, 22 Sapphire, 9 Emerald and 2 Topaz).

She kicked all the butt in the GJW XIV, earning 3 Gold Nova, 1 Silver Nova and 2 Bronze Nova, as well as 20 Seal of Visions. She has also received 1 Seal of Loyalty for the recent May the 4th celebration and received 1 Legion of the Scholar for her recent participation in a recent Arcona Trivia Night. In addition to all of this, she’s also participated in 24 PVE/PVP competitions, 4 run on posts for a total of 5795 words, and an amazing 75,480 words of fiction. She has also proven herself to be a scholar as well as a writer, having passed 5 SA courses and receiving 1 SA degree.

In addition to a tremendous showing when it comes to general activity, Qyreia has also taken the time to participate in leadership activities. She has worked as Magistrate to the Voice since November of 2019, and received a Sapphire Blade in November 2020 for all of her hard work. She also stepped into the position of Quaestor of Galeres in December of 2020, and has maintained that position for approximately five months. Idris will have more to say about her work in the Voice’s office, and Rhylance will provide details regarding her leadership and project work.

Despite a very busy RL schedule, Qyreia manages to consistently knock it out of the park. Her constant hard work and diligence is something to be admired and emulated. As such, it is my honor to recommend that she receive an Amethyst Kukri. Congratulations, Qyreia! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the DJB!

Additional reasons

Qyreia continues to be one of the best decisions I made as Voice. In the year and half she has spent on the Voice Staff, the quality of all reviews has shot up, both in terms of professionalism and amount of feedback to members who need a remand. This level of excellency is part of the reason I decided to move away from 1 year limits on Magistrate position time. I didn’t want to lose Qyreia’s great work. Over the last 6 months, Qyreia has accounted for 22 approved sheets, and 35 remands. But more than that, Q is heavily involved in every sheet review, often providing insight on implication others on the staff (myself very much included) miss.

I’ve had numerous members (including some rather, difficult to work with ones) privately message me in regards to the great feedback Qyreia has provided them. Others have more publicly stated their appreciation in the sharp increase in remand quality.

Outside of the typical rush of queue work my staffers undertake. Qyreia has an insanely good memory for things discussed in Voice Staff, items where there isn’t a strict policy, but a “We came to this conclusion last time” response. Q is a heavy participant in our ongoing Feats project, having manually reviewed all current feats in the system for consistency issues.

All in all Qyreia remains a most excellent Magistrate and I couldn’t be more thrilled to recommend this AK.

Lord Idris Adenn, 2021-05-13 15:04:14 UTC

Qyreia truly is a fantastic leader within the club. She has a work ethic to be marveled at, and her efforts turn out splendid results. In her time as Quaestor of House Galares, she has managed to take a sleeping house, and really brought it back to life! I am incredibly honored to work beside her in this role.

Q has also created the foundation for the mechanics that became the RP system that Arcona utilizes in all of our Role Play sessions. This system has proved to be great with getting old members reinvested within the Clan and the club and also helps newer members find a place within the Clan that they feel they really belong in. Q also runs RP’s on a fairly consistent basis to much success within her house. Without Q’s ideas, Arcona Role Play would never have been where it is today.

Qyreia has worked closely with Kordath on the Selen Development Project, whether by running competitions or by interpreting the data into workable features for the Clan. She also recently performed a revamp on the Arconan military, creating new ranks and even images to display those ranks for the wiki. Speaking of Wiki, that is one of Q’s biggest projects. She has been working with her Aedile to bring Galares wiki up to date and revamp many important sections of the Clan’s wiki as well.

Qyreia also had a hand in the creation of an Event Success/Fail guideline that is based on member participation. This inspired the system that we currently use as it proved to be

a good motivator for the membership, and when that motivation falls short, a good storyline manager. Without Q’s initiative, this is another tool that Arcona would not have in our repertoire.

Thank you Qyreia for all that you do and have done for Arcona. You deserve this award and more. Congrats on getting your AK!

Aurora "Aura" Ta'var
Primary reason

It is once again my pleasure to recognize Revak Kur. Since his last recognition, he has 136 competitions (participated in 93 competitions, organized 43 competitions), completed 1 PvP match, 34 PvE Activities, 3 Fiction activities worth 2218 words, passed 22 Shadow Academy courses, earned 9 Shadow Academy degrees, and posted 4 news posts. During these efforts he was awarded 4 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 5 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 3 Crescents with Emerald Star, 4 Crescents with Topaz Star, 1 Crescent with Quartz Star, 22 Clusters of Fire, 4 Clusters of Ice, 176 Clusters of Earth, and 44 Clusters of Graphite.

During this time, he has spent 2 months as Quaestor and 6 months as a Proconsul. During his remaining 2 months as Quaestor he ran a [House event[(https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/competitions/16053) that capped off almost a year of house lore development and finished a House story arc. As part of this House event, he published 3 fictions worth a total of 6,453 words. In addition to the House event, he successfully handled his day to day QUA duties in an exemplary manner. Next, he took on the challenge of Proconsul, during which he was trusted and exemplary handled regular-duty tasks. To name a few these included the following: writing award reccs, helping write clan reports and news updates, updating clan gdrives, leadership reviews of cou staff, assisting pulsefeed write ups, assisting in finalizing cou’s clan gjw award’s final product, clan policy updates (community management/communication policy, Scimitar of Hoth 2021 rules), clan surveys, grading 3 scimitar of Hoth competitions, and handling member disputes to name a few. Of note, grading scimitar of Hoth competitions can be very time consuming, each taking on average about 3 hours from start to finish. As to member disputes, Revak was always professional and always took time to fully resolve the issue. This can take a lot of time sometimes.

In addition to regular Proconsul duties, he also engaged in some side projects that benefitted the clan. First, he has been the main driver behind our Survival Guides initiatives. He created a guide for the clan to teach our summit how to use our trello. At its completion it was 15 pages, 799 words, and had clear detailed pictures that described things step by step. This continues to be an excellent resource for those newer to trello. In addition, he made updates to the Clan Activity Assessment, adding some additional lessons learned. Second, he published the Odan-Urr Novice Guide for November 2020, this time splitting it into two versions (a concise 2-pager, and a longer version). The 2-pager’s work came into play with the difficulty of cramming the absolute essentials into two pages. Conciseness and efficiency of words takes time. The larger version was 1645 words and covered all the key essentials to understanding Odan-Urr lore. Some things were able to be borrowed from the previous versions but this was a considerable update to account for House activities and events in the back half of 2020. It also included an effort to make all the descriptions more concise. All the above mentioned guides were very helpful to our members and much appreciated.

In addition to guides, he also took on an initiative to overhaul our incident reporting system, creating a new one from scratch and fully implementing it. This included implementing policy on how to track incidents, the creation of a stock incident form to guarantee ease and uniformity of reports, and other various utilities to make tracking these reports easier. Of note, the stock incident report form came with a 280 word help document that explained how to fill out that form correctly. This system has already been put to use and has been very helpful in more efficiently tracking incidents over time. Not many may notice things like this, but it helps everyone stay well-informed.

As to community work, he has hosted 11 weekend events and participated in 25 weekend events. Conservative estimates for the number of hours this took is 3 hours on average for a hosting session and 2 hours on average for participation. In total as a conservative guess, Revak Kur put in about 83 hours worth of time into our weekly community events, which was a big help pulling together Odanites and growing our community. In addition to his community events, he assisted me in helping put together the Odan-Urr Holiday card, a new initiative I wanted to try out. This involved helping acquire member feedback for it, drawing stick figures for each member who did the thing, and publishing a good final product seen here. These don’t seem like big things sometimes but they can mean a lot to members.

Lastly and perhaps most important of his achievements as Proconsul, he was my right hand man while we executed a clan vs clan feud (Vendetta). Of note, this was Odan-Urr’s first clan vs. clan feud since ~5 years ago. We started idea generation with Plageius all the way back in November/December of 2020 and executed it on time for March. This journey included designing the feud (rules, structure, scoring), generating content for it (story, competitions, grading sheet, wiki edits), executing it (submitting competitions, hyping competitions, launching the event), and post event (grading, feud report). Revak helped with all of these but I’d like to particularly call out a few. Of note, he took point on the intro feud fiction, writing 1764 words for Odan-Urr. Throughout the event, whether it be meetings with Plageius, ensuring the execution of competitions, or painstakingly verifying results with me to name a few, Revak Kur was key to helping ensure a smooth feud and an excellent event that was very well received. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this key event!

For all of his achievements above, I recommend that Revak Kur be awarded an Amethyst Kukri. Thank you so much for the time and energy and long work nights that you’ve put into Odan-Urr. You’ve been a steadfast Proconsul and a great friend. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you to make this Clan better and better. Congratulations!!

Revak served the Chamber of Justice as a member of the Appeals Panel for the 2020 term. It was a quiet term for the Panel, but Revak and his fellow panelists were on-call every day for the entire year, ready to address issues put to them with little to no notice. Thank you and congratulations, Revak!

Essik Lyccane has been fairly busy since his last sacramental award. He has participated in 68 competitions, organized 1 competition, completed 2 PvE activities, 15 fiction activities for 55,355 words, 3 runon posts for 1,670 words, 13 Shadow Academy courses, and 6 Shadow Academy degrees. In addition, during our most recent [COU-PLA] clan feud, he was one of the few who fully participated in all bins. He also was the 1st feud hero, scoring the most individual points during the event!

During these activities he racked up 1 Gold Nova, 2 Crescents with Diamond Star, 11 Crescents with Ruby Star, 10 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 7 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 4 Crescents with Emerald Star, 3 Crescents with Topaz Star, 1 Crescent with Quartz Star, 1 Pendant of Blood, 123 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Earth, 24 Clusters of Graphite, 6 Dark Side Scrolls, 1 Scroll of Indoctrination, and 1 Legion of Scholar. Very impressive indeed!

But I’m not done yet. He was Wikipedian of the Month for October 2020, November 2020, January 2021, and March 2021. After digging into his wiki edits log from August 18th 2020 to current day he has performed ~885 edits in pages that aren’t related to his own. These span the entire DB gamut from individual character pages to clan level pages to core DB pages. Of those ~885 edits, he performed 555 image edits, 241 minor edits, and 89 edits that ranged from average to major edits. Not counting words for either image edits or minor edits, he has racked up 29,544 words. Only counting clan level pages and core DB pages, these cover 19 Odan-Urr pages, 22 DB-wide pages, and 65 Other Clans’ pages. I’ve listed them all below in their own paragraph for readability.

The following Odan-Urr pages were updated: House Sunrider, The Myrkr Crusade, The Scimitar of Lord Hoth, Quorahi, Seven Pillars, Desired One, Vatali Unsettled, Scars You Don’t See, Kiast (Planet), Vatali Empire, Tides of Change: an Arcona-Odan-Urr Event, Vauzem Dominion, Solari (MC80 Star Cruiser), Odanite Expeditionary Force, Clan Odan-Urr history, Sentinel Network: Sanctuary, and Dajorra-Yhi Concordat, Trepus Mine, and The Fang.

The following DB-wide pages were updated: DJBWiki: Featured Article, Category:Images-Pau’an, Shadow (disambiguation), DJBCoding:infobox Colors, 30 ABY to 39 ABY, The Severian Principate, Nythaspir, Nancora, Meridian Prime space station, Category:Images-Falleen, Category:Images-Iktotchi, Category:Images-Zeltron, Great Jedi War, Thirteenth Great Jedi War, Twelfth Great Jedi War, Arx, 20 ABY to 29 ABY, 50 BBY to 26 BBY, 0 BBY to 9 ABY, Explosives, TAW-8GP Combat Rifle, and Sweetums.

The following Other clans’ pages were updated: Arcona Fiction Hub, Arias Lewin, OathMaster, Ascendant Fleet, Ascendancy (Imperial I-class), ‎Formidable, Audacious, Template:PlagueisFleet, ‎Indefatigable, Implacable,‎ ‎Monitor, Anvil, Borath, Eris, Axios, Taldryan's Military, Clan Taldryan's Military, Taldryan Military Information, TalEx, Orthanc, Relentless (destroyer), Bastion (destroyer), Template:TalNavy, Taldryan Army/Archived, Taldryan Auxiliary Divisions, The Fall of Scepter, Obsidian Palace, ‎Ravager (corvette), Outcast, Wrath (Acclamator-class), Termagant, Flux Squadron, Vigilant, Dominant, Ambition (Consular-class), Kumori Training Center, Falger Mining Company, Phoenix Crest, Ballista (CR90 corvette), Solace (DP20 frigate), Scylla (DP20 frigate), A Nightmare Before Sithmas, Hell's Iris (Hammerhead corvette), Brigand (Raider II-class), Perdition (Raider II-class), Heretic (Raider II-class), Hunter (Raider II-class), Baron, The Empty Eyes, Calm Sea (GR-75 medium transport), Pacifica (GR-75 medium transport), Nebula Strider (GR-75 medium transport), Rebels and Ruins, Clan Scholae Palatinae History, Shroud Squadron, Absolution, 27's, Lost Tribe of Tarthos, Dajorran Health Insurance, Dark Paladins of Scholae Palatinae, Kyataru, Venku Range, Sundowner Wing, Leviathan, and Nighthawk (Carrack-class).

This is incredibly impressive not only for its sheer numbers but because of the breadth and depth of its impact across the club’s wiki pages. That said, I’d like to especially thank Essik Lyccane for his work on Odan-Urr pages and call out a few of them. First, his work on the ‘Desired One’ page, which was the feud object that was being fought over. I was unsure how to code it in the wiki properly and he stepped in to do that. Second, his work on ‘The Myrkr Crusade’ page, which was greatly appreciated during a very busy post feud grading. He even left room for growth so others can fill out the page as well. Lastly, all the other pages that aren’t always on the top of one’s mind but are important to maintain, like updates to past events and ‘The Scimitar of Lord Hoth’. Wiki work tracks our history and keeping it up to date is a lot of work. On behalf of Odan-urr, thank you for working so hard at it.

In short, Essik Lyccane has focused on DB wiki work to an exceptional degree. In addition, his activity was wonderful as well. Therefore I recommend that he receive an Amethyst Kukri. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put not only into Odan-Urr but into the rest of the DB as well. Congratulations!

Since his last recognition, Ira Ojiman—Donny—has done all the things. He has organized 25 competitions and co-organized an additional three. He has served on the summits of two clans and as Magistrate for the DGM (recognized previously with an SC) and the Regent. And he has participated in 228 competitions, assuming he doesn’t sneak in a few more while I’m writing this.

Donny is well known as a gamer, and for good reason. He has earned 1660 CEs, 762 CFs, 7 PoBs, and at least four GMRG leaderboard placements. However, he’s more than willing to engage in other aspects of the club. He’s earned two legions of the Scholar, 46 Clusters of Graphite, and 57 Clusters of Ice. He’s also completed 17 SA courses and earned two Maven and two Pundit degrees.

The Log has committed himself to excellence and taken home 44 crescents, including 6 Diamond Stars. During vendettas he is consistently reliable. For Arcona, he earned 30 seals and 4 novae from the last two Great Jedi Wars. If anything, he turned it up a notch after coming to Odan-Urr, where he participated in twenty out of twenty competitions in the COU-PLA feud, finishing in fourth place.

Most impressively, he settled immediately into a leadership role within the clan despite being a regular member on paper. Within days of joining the clan, Donny was marshaling his fellow Odanites for gaming nights and he was a major factor in reviving the very quiet house Telegram channel. He hosted a Saturday gaming day for eight other members shortly after joining and did more to hype participation in the feud than almost anyone else in the clan.

This award has been a long time coming, but it is very much deserved.

Additional reasons

During his time with Arcona, Ira proved to be one of our most active members. He was a regular mainstay for helping us in wars and proved to be a force to be reckoned with in Clan events. Since his last awarding he had racked up over 100 competitions, and even organized 7 of his own. He was also one of our leaders in gaming. Consistently he was pushing others in our Clan to embrace the gaming side of the club which Arcona has lacked.

On a personal note, Ira was a great friend to me and a true help during my time as a leader. He was a voice to come to whenever advice was needed, or even just someone who’d listen when I needed to talk. I am truly grateful for all the hard work he has done and I am glad he is finding such success in Odan Urr. Congratulations on your award Ira, it is deserved with your spectacular efforts.

Dr. Ben, 2021-04-25 14:09:25 UTC

Ira is a member of strong activity and drive. During my tenure as Regent, I had several magistrates that—for one reason or another—never completed a full term. Ira was not one of those. He came in with a clear goal of helping the staff and took to the tasks he was given. In terms of specifics, Ira was a "voice in the room" for many discussions regarding items and aspects, manning the queue to ensure timely approvals, and reviewing our Item Prototype lists prior to release. The major release he was involved in was Solo Resistance and More where he personally created and stocked 4 items into the system and stores respectively. What cannot be counted is the aforementioned review of the prototypes. There are many items that make it to release, and more that don't ever make it off the sheet.

I value the input Ira had while on staff, and I am thankful he served a complete term. Even after he has not been shy of asking questions or providing commentary on opportunities to provide further value to the club. Ira remains a strong presence, one that was felt in the activity numbers for Arcona and now Odan-Urr. I'm glad to see him recognized for those efforts.

Primary reason

Rian is, by any stretch of the imagination, a rock star in the Herald's office. The amount of work that he has done is staggering, and he's been integral to the Herald staff's pivot towards focusing on custom item requests from members over quarterly releases that, while gaining the office good press, have in the past not seen usage that really warrants the amount of effort going into those projects. However, if the office were unable to fulfill requests the system would break down. Rian has been indispensable in keeping the system churning along without the wheels falling off.

Since the last time that I have sat down to write out a recommendation for him, Rian has created a truly amazing amount of work directly for members. Just in the realm of Warbanners alone Rian has completed 17 warbanner requests for members. Warbanners might be the simplest work that we do, but they're also the item that more members than any other use and are often the first custom graphic that is requested. Making sure these items turn around to meet member expectations is a key task for our office, ensuring members have a positive experience with our organization and helping retain them. He has also completed a pair of leadership graphic requests, helping to keep leader reports eye catching to promote consumption of that content. But, more so than anything else, Rian has been the primary staffer assigned to custom weapon requests. These weapons offer a step up in degree of difficulty, as customized blasters offer different challenges from artistic, one off lightsaber hilt designs. But, Rian has risen to the challenge on every occasion, completing an unbelievable 15 custom weapon requests since his last recognition. Many staffers don't generate that amount of content over entire tenures on staff, but this is just normal for Rian. Lastly, he is responsible for the Great Jedi War weapon reward for Clan Odan-Urr, working back and forth through several revisions with the Clan in order to ensure that the final product meets their exacting standards.

I have no problem characterizing Rian's service as absolutely essential over the past year. It is not an exaggeration to say that, without his perseverance, the Herald Staff would have been unable to fulfill anywhere near the number of member requests that have been met over his time on the staff. You have my thanks, sir.

Additional reasons

Since joining the ranks of the Elders a year ago (practically to the day!), Rian has kept up the same exemplary level of activity that I've come to expect as his Consul. He participated in 66 competitions, including 16 events from last year's Great Jedi War. Between those events (including the Silver Nova-winning GJW run-on), he's submitted 13077 words of fiction in that time. He's also completed 16 Shadow Academy courses. All told, in the past year he's earned 1 Silver Nova, 3 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 1 of each other type of Crescent, 35 Clusters of Ice, and 21 Clusters of Graphite. Rian is by far one of the most active members of Taldryan above and beyond his work for the Herald's office, and I'm happy to see him get the recognition he deserves. Congratulations, Rian!

Since her return to the Herald staff in August as Praetor, Alaisy has been an integral part of the staff. Alaisy has completed both member request items as well as working to keep the administrative portion of the office humming in the form of things such as avatar approvals and competition review. In the realm of member rewards handed out by the club, there are fewer that require more work on the part of the organization than custom robes. In keeping with the Herald office's desire to provide the highest quality work to the members wherever possible, Alaisy took a point role in creating member robes. She has completed four unique robes to meet member requests, keeping to their instructions while providing an excellent end product for the members in question. Additionally, she created the Great Jedi War award robes given to Clan Vizsla for their second place finish in the most recent Vendetta with the Clan being ecstatic with the end product.

On the administrative side, Alaisy has taken a primary role in approving graphics competitions as well. With only minimal instruction, she's sunk her teeth into that duty to ensure that competitions are moving quickly through the approval process while still ensuring that they comply with Herald guidelines. Additionally, she's been an invaluable assistant with approving avatar requests. In both of these duties she has helped to provide short turn around times by virtue of our differing time zones, allowing our office to better cover requests as they come in. She has also been the vocal face of the Herald's office in the DB Art Chat telegram channel, giving feedback and advice to other artists often to help them expand their own skills and talents. Finally, in the last week she has provided absolutely indispensable feedback on developing the specifics of the new Vendetta Dossier Skin Reward Guidelines. Through this policy we hope to better codify the process for generating reward skins, and her input was key to balancing the desires of those making requests with the needs of the artist that will be tasked with fulfilling the request.

In short, Alaisy has been an absolute stand out on the staff of the members that have served during my tenure. Thank you for your service.

Alaisy is, without a doubt, one of the most prolific and active members within Arcona. Since her last recognition, she has participated in 109 competitions. She placed in a significant number of these and earned a whole slew of Clusters. In total, she has accumulated 39 Crescents (2 Diamond, 8 Ruby, 12 Amethyst, 9 Sapphire, 5 Emerald, and 3 Topaz) as well as 113 Clusters of Fire, 61 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Earth and 45 Clusters of Graphite. She is not only prolifically active, but her keyboard also goes brr: she has written a total of 23,730 words of fiction.

In addition to being a veritable competition-completing machine, she is also incredibly supportive and enthusiastic. She has jumped into the SARLACC event with both feet and completed the full complement of three ACC matches in the first round. In addition to this, she was also quick to provide encouragement and assist in proofreading. She is constantly helping to hype events, encouraging participation and helping to inspire activity and excellence in others. She also frequently participates in the clan and house-related RP sessions, where she assists in driving the storyline and helps others with character development.

It’s for all these reasons that I am proud to lend my voice in support for awarding Alaisy an Amethyst Kukri. Congratulations, Alaisy! You definitely deserve this and so much more!

Primary reason

When it comes to Zxyl Venzos Taldrya, it isn't an understatement to describe his efforts as critical to the operation of the Regent staff over this past year. As my Praetor, he has carved out his role by refusing to be a "Yes Man" but challenging every decision being made, bringing perspective and questions. This is critical to making the right calls, or at least the best call we can try to make. It helps us to consider all the perspectives before moving forward. Additionally, he has helped in the training of magistrates by bringing his direct experience and enthusiasm to the forefront, often with large info drops that have gone on to be incorporated into Regent Staff instruction manuals that he has assisted myself in creating. Frankly, I could go on for paragraphs about the effect Zxyl's presence has within my staff environment, but intangibles can only go so far and there's no point padding beyond the base truth: he gets the job done and ensures that others get the job done too.

Since his last recognition, Zxyl has been instrumental in the implementation of several content releases, corrections, and upgrade systems. As the Regent staff is still somewhat new within the Dark Brotherhood's existence, it's important to outline just what is involved in the creation of a single Item Prototype. It is a multi-stage process that involves initial research and population. This gets you the item, its description, categorization, and potential pricing structure. From there, it is reviewed and cleaned up over several passes before being finalized for pricing and description. Then, it is necessary to create the system image using the Regent Item Template in Photoshop. From there, it then needs to be brought into the system and fully detailed with any slotting, aspects, and store stocking rules. When it comes to rules, there are always at least two: stocking after sale and unstocking after return. This whole process is for a single item. Needless to say, there is very rarely a single item included in a release, so multiply this process exponentially. It is no joke to say that each release is a significant time investment.

So, what are we looking at in terms of numbers? Starting with the Space Vehicle Upgrades Project, Zxyl took a primary role in the review and design of 135 upgrades, including their tier categorization and pricing. In order to release those upgrades (which was done as individual Item Prototypes), it was necessary to remove existing Aspect slots from existing Space Vehicles and add the related slots as defined by our rarity policy for Space Vehicle Upgrades. In total, Zxyl processed 99 Item Prototypes in this way. With the next step in Upgrades, Zxyl worked to implement Weapon Item slotting in our Combat Droids In total, it was necessary to add a related "unstock" rule to all weapons in the system so that when a Droid was sold alongside its weapons, those weapons would be removed from Utilis Innovations, avoiding the stocking of weapons in the incorrect store. In total, 252 Item Prototypes had to be updated with these unstocking rules. Carrying on with the Upgrades deploy, Droids themselves received their Upgrade system. To do so, Zxyl created 20 new Aspect Types that would be used by Droids for Upgrades. Then, he entered 85 Upgrades into the system under those Aspect Types. He then worked with the Regent Staff magistrate to have the Aspect slots updated on all Droids and ensured correct deployment during the Maintenance Window. Finally, for the "Order of the Fallen Mandalorian" update, Zxyl was instrumental in the design and deployment of 36 Item Prototypes.

That's all just the current deployed work from Zxyl on staff. That in itself is equivalent to hours upon hours of work effort. On top of that, he had to keep up with my own rapid sprints of activity where we easily put in tens of hours of work in a single week at a time to work through the phases of development. All of this work has had a measurable impact on the Brotherhood itself through the Possessions system and how it impacts the member base. On top of that, all of this work would not have been completed without him. At least not in the timeframe that it was.

For his exceptional work, dedication, and focus on the Regent Staff, I offer my recommendation to grant Zxyl Venzos Taldrya an Amethyst Kukri. It is well earned, and thank you, Zxyl.

Additional reasons

Zxyl Taldrya Venzos, alternately known as Noobis, Nihlus, and many other names, has been a steady contributor to Taldryan since his promotion to EQ3 in February. As numbers go, he’s participated in 24 competitions, including 12 events during GJW XIV. For those efforts, he’s received a Silver Nova, a Crescent with Amethyst Star, and a Crescent with Sapphire Star. He’s also racked up 75 Clusters of Fire, 8 Clusters of Earth, 14 Clusters of Ice, and 14 Clusters of Graphite.

Besides his activities as a line member, Zxyl has contributed a great deal to the Clan as a member of the Taldryan Summit, first as Aedile of Ektrosis in February (continuing from prior to his last promotion) and then during his nine-month term as Proconsul of Taldryan. He’s helped to organise and track the Taldryan Summit’s activities, creating a Trello board for Summit members to coordinate on projects, and reorganised the shared Google Drive we use for storing our project files.

Regarding specific projects, Zxyl has also taken the lead in updating Taldryan’s Wiki presence. He created a monster spreadsheet for our Wiki improvement project, tracking the update status of each page and individual members’ contributions to said updates, ensuring each page has been categorised correctly. He was instrumental in planning the Clan’s current storyline, Aggressive Expansion, and ran its fictional intro competition (New Pursuits) back in April. He created four NPCs to be used as adversaries to Taldryan member characters during the story, including full character sheets and fictional backgrounds, and contributed 6600 words in Clan fiction updates (posted in the story’s Discourse thread). Most recently, he helped to plan the Pro Bowl between Taldryan, Plagueis, and CNS this past September, and served as one of the team captains.

Although his service as Praetor to the Regent is both more visible and arguably more impactful on the Brotherhood as a whole than his work as Proconsul, Zxyl’s contributions to Taldryan are worthy of recognition. As such, I’m happy to add my recommendation to the request that Zxyl be awarded the Amethyst Kukri.

Primary reason

It is my pleasure to recognize Vyr Vorsa for his efforts he has put into the club since his last promotion.

Since his last promotion he has participated in 64 competitions, organized/co-organized 33 competitions, completed 11 PvP matches, 13 PvE activities, 8 Fiction activities, 8991 Words of Fiction, 6 run-on posts worth 4099 words, passed 4 Shadow Academy courses, 7 news posts, and 18 news posts comments. While doing so, he earned the following: 6 Gold Novas, 8 Silver Novas, 2 Bronze Novae, 2 Crescents with Diamond Star, 5 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 1 Crescent with Sapphire Star, 1 Crescent with Emerald Star, 22 Clusters of Fire, 34 Clusters of Ice, 65 Clusters of Earth, 59 Clusters of Graphite, 4 Legions of Scholar, 21 Seal of Discord, and 24 Seal of Vision.

I’d also like to spotlight his Great Jedi War and community event contributions. Since his last recognition, he has participated in two Great Jedi wars, getting full participation in both. Not only did he get full participation but he racked up 16 Novae and placed in the top 10 both times. As a matter of fact, in the most recent war he was awarded the title of “First Hero”, which is an amazing achievement. In the latest war, he did all this while helping and encouraging others to try their best in the war. In addition to the Great Jedi Wars, he also hosted 6 community events, each of which took several hours of his day. Of note, this includes getting people to come together and running group activities with them. He also participated in 7 community events as well, which helped strengthen Odan-Urr’s community.

In addition to his activity above, he has served as a Proconsul of Odan-Urr for 11 months, during which time he has worked hard to improve Odan-Urr. First, he created a whole new storyline for the Clan called Seven Pillars, which is a multi-series story broken into many episodes. These “Indiana Jones” sort of events focused on the mysteries of the Force, archaeology, adventure, and that sort of thing. He was able to complete two full events, each furthering along one continuous story. This brought some much needed variety to our clan offerings as before our main storyline was peacekeeping. As a matter of fact, the Seven Pillars events were well received and left our members wanting more of it. In order to create this, it involved the creation of new characters, competition(s) creation, teaser video, reference gathering, and three event fictions totalling 3,023 words. Of note, post-event he did some wonderful archival work for Seven Pillars, saving the efforts of our members for potential future use and enabling someone else to easily pick up where he started.

Second, he created a COU Story Group, which has been a wonderful way to encourage critical thinking and collaboration on clan storylines as well as how DC fictions might fit in. He led the group in discussion and archived some of its outputs as well. Of note, some of the things it led to were a revamped image of the Kiast system and a major rewrite to one of our planets. The former was created by Vyr, which was a massive improvement to the versions we had before. The latter was not done personally by Vyr but he created a very important tool that led to the creation of these projects by others. Third, he created a 2020 Novice Lore Guide as a substantial update to our previous year’s update. This required updating most sections and he even added a few useful sections as well, all in all totalling 2316 words.

Fourth, he wrote up an in-depth proposal for a clan possessions upgrade. This involved being the primary author for a detailed fleet loadout complete with breakouts (with links!), reasonings, and credit totals. It also included a separate narrative of 474 words to help explain the fleet loadout. This resource has already been used as a base upon which to improve and build further. Fifth, he wrote 7 Clan related news posts (4 full news reports, 2 event reports, and 1 Councillor of Urr post). Sixth, he co-graded one of our more arduous competitions called Scimitar of Hoth for many months. It involves a lot of manual counting and I just wanted to call out how much I appreciated the help grading it. The 2 hour discord sessions were a usual occurrence for each one. Seventh, he was a great co-grader and consultant for the Clan Peacekeeping events, where a second pair of eyes is always greatly appreciated. Lastly, he worked on some wiki updates for both the Clan and club. This included 42 image uploads, 13 major updates for clan and club (Fiction Center, limbo, the Okami, Iron Forces, etc…) for 2425 words, and 74 minor updates for clan and club

During his time as Proconsul, Vyr has done a lot for Odan-Urr and thus the club. Words can only say so much so I am proud to recommend that he be awarded an Amethyst Kukri for the exceptional value he has provided Odan-Urr and for the dedication and time he has put into the Clan. My friend, thank you so much for all you have done. I’ll always appreciate it.

V'yr, your continued contributions to both Odan-Urr and the Club are what make you a highly valuable member of this community. The fiction group has allowed us to create coherent lore arcs by being able to verify details from past events we can use in future stories. The fleet overhaul was a massive undertaking and the way you organized every detail with links and explanations allowed for a clear and accurate depiction of the proposed fleet. The Seven Pillars was very successful as it provided something new and fresh for us all to dive into. All of this and what was already stated above takes large amounts of time and dedication. Thank you friend and congratulations!
