Alaris is a member any clan would be lucky to count among their ranks, but to that I say back off, get your own Alaris! With an account that’s itself old enough to be a member of the Brotherhood, you’d think that Alaris would have slowed down just a bit after having done so much within the club over the years, but you’d be wrong in thinking that. That’s the thing about Alaris, they are always pushing themself to go further and further, to do better and constantly proving that they are a force to reckon with. Since their last award, Alaris has participated in an astounding 153 competitions which includes every single competition in GJW XVII. Let me repeat that. Every. Single. Competition. That’s right, Alaris was an absolute BEAST in the latest GJW. Not only did they participate in every single competition during the war, but they received top 10 placement in 18 of the competitions with 8 of those being top 3 placement earning 3 Gold Novae, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze! This officially cements Alaris as one of the all-time top Novae earners in the club.

On top of this, over the past year and a half Alaris has earned 5 Crescents with Diamond Star, 10 with Ruby Star, 13 with Amethyst Star, 13 with Sapphire Star, 13 with Emerald Star, 4 with Topaz Star, 3 with Quartz Star and another Bronze Novae for placing 3rd in the Season 1 - Parabellum cycle 1 gaming pillar. Honestly, at this point it's probably easier to just list the competitions Alaris hasn’t placed in! Alaris’ immense level activity also includes 83 gaming activities, to earn 1715 Clusters of Fire, writing 15,458 words across 11 fiction activities to earn 46 Clusters of Ice and flexing that graphics muscle to earn 64 Clusters of Graphite and an additional rank in the Shroud Syndicate society. Alaris continued their journey through the Shadow Academy passing an additional 3 courses, adding 2 more degrees to their already extensive history of education within the Brotherhood.

The hard work that Alaris has put into the Brotherhood is only partially shown by the incredible numbers I’ve already listed. Beyond this is another side of Alaris that I have had the honour and pleasure of getting to know. While they may be a little competitive as showcased by the sheer number of placements, especially Novae listed on their dosser, Alaris is also someone who is incredibly passionate about both the clan, and the club as a whole, they are someone who wants to see everyone succeed. A veteran member of the club, Alaris has become a bit of an advisor whose wealth of experience at every level of the club is something I have been able to lean on and learn from. But not just myself, the entire clan. Despite not having an official leadership position, throughout the war I saw Alaris encouraging members to participate, working with the members of the summit, and helping to organize groups for team based competitions by reaching out to members who had expressed interest in working as a group. Alaris was indispensable throughout the war and that was all on top of kicking absolute ass and earning the title of Second Hero.

Alaris, you’re my hero. And not just mine, all of Plagueis’. Thank you for all of your hard work and congratulations on a very well deserved Amethyst Kukri.

It’s been an absolute whirlwind of a year both inside the Brotherhood and out and some abrupt changes within the clan saw Furios step up into the position as my Proconsul. While it wasn’t under the most ideal of situations, it was a role that I was honoured to be able to offer him. I’ve known Furios for a long time, when I first joined the Brotherhood he was Quaestor of House Karness Muur and already a legend around these parts. When I took my first steps into leadership he was a bit of a mentor to me and it has been a pleasure to see rise to new heights in his return to leadership. A truly valued member of the clan summit, Furios has played a key role in diffusing difficult situations, being a sounding board for ideas and generally helping to keep me sane. Behind the scenes Furios has also led the charge on lore and wiki updates, helping to ensure information related to Plagueis is accurate and up to date. While he didn’t do this work alone, and in fact he would be quick to tell you that, what he did do was track the contributions made by the entire team in order to make sure that everyone involved got the recognition that they deserved. One thing that I’ve learned about Furios is that not only does he care a lot, but he cares a lot about other people.

Since his last medal, Furios has also been a contributor to the monthly Plagueian comp series organizing and co-organizing 6 competitions. He has also participated in an additional 38 competitions, placing in 15 of them to earn 3 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 6 with Sapphire Star, 5 with Emerald Star and 1 with Quartz. Never satisfied with participating in just one aspect of the club, Furios earned himself a nice chunk of clusters as well. Getting his game on earned him 77 Clusters of Fire, authoring 827 words of fiction earned him 2 Clusters of Ice and showing his artistic side earned him 12 Clusters of Graphite.

Furios is someone whose opinion and input I trust and I am happy to have been able to work with him for as long as I have. I am honoured to be able to call him a friend and I can’t wait to see what he has planned going forward. I wouldn’t be the leader I am today without his guidance all those years ago, so thank you and congratulations on a well deserved Amethyst Kukri!
