Battlelord Rrogon Skar Agrona has reached the required 5125 Medal XP to earn their first Sapphire Blade!

It's difficult to start something like this for Skar, because he is so very different from his character: the person is energetic, fast-talking, and spontaneously motivated; the character is brooding, prone to self-destruction, and is debatably more machine than organic. I've known Skar essentially since I joined Arcona, and he has always been a valuable asset as a leader, competitor, and friend. While he is definitely more of a gamer than a writer (evidenced by his 250-some Clusters of Earth since his last promotion alone), he still manages the odd fiction, and has regularly been at the forefront of roleplay scenarios going all the way back to the concepts early days in our Telegram House chat. In that time, he spent around three years as Aedile of Galeres, promoting and participating in House and Clan event alike, so that even his character made regular cameo appearances in unit fictions for his activity. So while real life often takes him away from us these days, this XP backlog is testament to something that is long overdue. Thank you Skar. Congratulations, and come back to us soon.

Savant Leeadra Halcyon has reached the required 5125 Medal XP to earn their first Sapphire Blade!

This one comes with the blessing of the MAA and Justicar offices, because otherwise this would be reeeally awkward! Leeadra, or sometimes just Lee, has been in the club a little over 7 years now and has been a steady source of activity and presence that has brought forth this XP accumulation. Between normal competitions, she was also a Battleteam Leader in House Qel-Droma's Voidbreaker Battleteam, during which time she did what you might expect in filling out reports and maintaining the BT's integrity. Less commonly though, she reached outside of her organization and assisted the BT Nighthawk's BTL at the time with proofreading his reports (because English isn't an easy language for even native speakers, much less when it's a second or third language). Using these same connections, she took the running roleplay system being used in Galeres and applied it to Voidbreaker and Qel-Droma, the interest and participation in which would inspire the roleplay system we are using today as a club. These aren't grand, sweeping moves that Leeadra made, but little things that — piece by piece — played into a larger whole. So, XP backlog or not, this award comes much deserved. Seer Edema R'uh-Kalinor has reached the required 5125 Medal XP to earn their first Sapphire Blade!

Edema is an old hat in the club and in Arcona, having enlisted in the ranks some twenty years ago. Since her last promotion alone she's collected over forty Clusters of Ice and fifty of Graphite, among thirteen Crescents and Novae. She has time in leadership going back to the days of the Battleteam Sergeant and as a Battleteam Leader, then serving the club across a series of Magistrate positions in the offices of the Headmaster, Herald, and to the Deputy Grand Master. Her duties have been many over the years, and while she may slip away from time to time for real world needs, she always comes back to us ready to go. So while this award might be borne from a backlog of XP, it comes no less deserved and with the appreciation of Arcona. Congratulations Edema!

Raider Archian has reached the required 5125 Medal XP to earn their first Sapphire Blade!

Archian and his growing menagerie of creatures has become a known entity of Arcona. He is a gamer, an artist, and a writer, participating as avidly in standard fiction competitions as in roleplay events. What's more, he is also one of our most prolific town criers of late, blasting out links and reminding the general population of ongoing events, competitions, and even Q&As. Nothing is outside his realm of something that can be tackled. In the last couple months, he's even taken on his first foray into leadership in the Brotherhood in becoming House Qel-Droma's Aedile, which only seems to have given him motivation to redouble the above efforts. So to Archian, the avid porg afficionado, while this might be a product of our newfound XP system, it also comes with our appreciation of your efforts and the vain hope that it will keep your animal friends out of the air ducts.
