The IRC Basics course is teaching one of the key skills in becoming an active member of the Brotherhood. In teaching this curriculum, Xiphias has helped many members lose their fear of this, often frightening, text-based program and thus got them closer to their fellow Dark brothers.

While member of CSP and QUA of HAD, Vally tried a lot to get the House active, and even had some results with his work His reports were timely and he kept the House from dying completely. The situation worked against him, in any other situation he'd have been very successful in his efforts . Those efforts have not been awarded and this is hereby fixed.

Since he came back to the Clan, Saitou has been a source of inspiration and even more importantly, he has always managed to remind us of the history of the Clan and it's traditions. At all times he has been watching out for developments that endangered the Clan's stability and helped us avoid a few bad situations.

Some may say that this does not warrant an award as big as this, but it certainly does, because without him neither Desmos nor me would have had any drive to attempt to reconstruct the Clan to what it once was, or something at least equally valuable.

Having taken over this course from an AWOL predecessor, Sharad has quickly found his way around and is consistently providing guidance and help to those trying to master the skills of the Obelisk order. Focused on the ethics and manners of Obelisk play, this course is a must for any serious Obelisk fighter.

Krath Core was my first contact with the Shadow Academy from the inside as I originally wrote this course. It has been passed on a long time ago and it has found a new teacher every bit worthy of continuing the legacy for a long time to come. The complexity of this course lies in the difficult combination of theory and practice to grade and Cyberguy manages both with excellence.

The stepchild of SA courses in terms of takers, the ASP programming curriculum is plagued by the lack of the prerequisite HTML knowledge in the Brotherhood. Spears' explanations go into depth and detail on a complicated subject and I hope that once the gap is filled, his course will see far more graduates.

One of the hardest courses to grade is the easiest to pass - the Test of Lore. As a longterm grader of this particular course, Kir Katarn has proven himself a great asset to the Shadow Academy and has supported countless new initiates on their first steps into the Brotherhood. Dealing with one of the tougher to teach subjects in the Brotherhood, JaM3z has proven that even a programming language can be taught well and entertainingly. A graduation figure that, while lower than that of many courses, is pretty impressive for a dry matter shows his skill in making things happen.
