Malidir Trepidus Erinos Arconae: First Hero of the 9th Great Jedi War. Heh. I don’t even know where to begin. Since Malidir and I both appeared in Arcona, he’s been a staunch ally, an able leader (serving as Quaestor, Aedile, Rollmaster and Battleteam Leader innumerable times over the last 3 years) and in every way my better. As an Arconae, he constantly gives input into Clan Policy changes, administration, Summit Appointments and despite my training him to DJK, I truly think of him as my mentor. He’s always there when I need counsel (if I ask for it or not) and when he sets his mind to a project, he is a force of nature, as his recent War performance proves. This guy is a symbol for Arcona – he’s the best of what we can achieve; he’s the pinnacle of the clan. He is able to give orders, to follow them, to keep a cool head during discussions, has a wicked sense of humour and is always willing to pitch in, do his part, and share the spoils of victory. <br><br> To illustrate this, I’ll list his GJW Activity: He participated in Recon Fiction, Legends Gaming, Sector Sketch Graphics, Effects of War Graphics, Skirmish 1 Gaming, In Whose Favour Gaming, Helpless Poetry, Know Your Enemy Graphics, Elimination Gaming, Know Your Allies Graphics, All of the Trivias and Codebreakers, and Placed 5th in Skirmish 2 Gaming, 7th in Chasing the Ghost Fiction, 2nd in Simulation Gaming, 5th in Potent Ink Poetry, 2nd in Garrison Fiction, 10th in Week 5 Trivia, 2nd in Free Reign Fiction and 1st in Mistaken Identity Gaming. Malidir has, during the course of my tenure as Aedile, been indispensable to me personally. His vast wealth of knowledge, together with his hard work and dedication has meant that Clan Arcona has triumphed in this Great Jedi War. Declaring Malidir an institution within Arcona would be an understatement and calling him the soul of the Clan wouldn’t be that far off base. He is friendly and humble, with few bad words for or about anyone, generally staying away from the vitriol Arcona is rightfully famous for. He has held every leadership position this side of the Clan Summit, I would be surprised if anyone in the Brotherhood had more clusters of fire than him and he is the first hero of the 9th Great Jedi War. A war in which he won Nova’s not only for gaming but also fiction, generating fully 15% of the Clan Arcona’s overall score. If the math were done I would bet he single-handedly made the difference between first and third place or maybe even fourth. Malidir, in many ways, makes me think of the quintessential Arconan. Someone who most embodies everything the Clan stands for. Malidir's continued excellence and momentous activity in not only gaming, but fiction and other areas, have played a huge part in tipping the scales of the Great Jedi War in Arcona's favour. Saying he won it for us would do an injustice to all our other members who worked so hard and contributed tirelessly, but Malidir was truly in a class of his own. I'm not sure I could even remember everything that Dacien has done in the past seventeen months as Praetor to the Headmaster. At the surface, he spearheaded the reorganization of the Dark Side Degrees program. He's helped code every new course released, at least five, and helped code the exams. He also reads through all of the member submitted histories, which he will quickly tell you is one of the worst tasks there is, but still he does it. Not to mention the important task of getting me up to speed when I took over as Headmaster, letting me know what projects were being worked on, where he saw things going, and how things are done while I added my own flare. All of this while juggling a college education and family life. Aside from these public things, however, Dacien also does the behind the scenes work: coding improvements, proofreading documents, participating in important staff discussions, keeping the EPs in line, keeping my head on straight. He is the perfect Praetor, because he does exactly what the job was designed to do, advises the Headmaster. He is my second brain, always there to provide thoughts or counter arguments on ideas or plans that I have, and I email him ideas all the time. Sometimes these thoughts happened, other times they are killed, but all because Dacien wasn't afraid to give his input. It is his judgement and advice that I trust the most in every discussion, and indeed look to when making the final decisions. It is for these very reasons that he will be remaining on the staff as a Magistrate. Things will continue to move forward in the Shadow Academy after his time as Praetor, but it will not be a simple task in coming to trust his replacement on the same level as I do Dacien. Without Karel's help over the past several months we would have been greatly challenged to finish the Character sheets within the year 2008. It is a little tricky awarding Raken because he does more behind the scenes work than almost anyone in the history of the Dark Brotherhood. Raken creates content for the Dark Brotherhood in the form of Great Jedi Wars (the current GJW fiction is looking to monstrous) and at the same time found the ability to create the Dark Brotherhood Order Discipline system. Raken created the Discipline system based off of a twenty minute conversation that we had and from there he created a detailed and phenomenal system unlike anything in the history of the Dark Brotherhood. Over the next several days we will see additional tricks of the Discipline system playing out and Raken will once again provide the DB with a new and exciting chapter.

The Kukri is to be awarded for “When such work reaches levels of exceptional value, a token of appreciation is needed to honor such tasks. As such, bearers of this award have shown their dedication and focus on furthering one aspect of the Brotherhood far beyond what was expected of them.”

There are perhaps 5 or 6 individuals in all of Clan Scholae Palatinae who put forth the effort and hard work needed to qualify for the Amethyst Kukri. Impetus is at or near the top of that list. There is never a time when I ask her to complete something for me that she does not jump at the chance. She is eager, knowledgeable, level headed, even tempered, and a boon to the Clan and Brotherhood as a whole.

Through her tenure here in CSP, since her last promotion to Archpriestess, Impetus has recorded a slew of activity, work, and mentoring of younger members. To list her accomplishments would take another 4 pages, so I will not waste the Council’s time. If need be, a full list of accomplishments and achievements can be provided.

What stands out for me about Imp is her unending desire to better the Clan and Brotherhood. She regularly checks all the Wiki pages of the Clan to ensure continuity and common sense throughout and without her, several Wiki projects for the Clan would never have gotten off the ground. In addition to her tireless Wiki service, she has created a guide for others to follow in regards to Wiki creation and maintenance, something we all use as a starting point for our Wiki pages.

Her efforts in Reclamation were second or third to only a select few others, and Impetus consistently shows her dominance in Clan Competitions. She has earned countless crescents for her competition prowess and I do not expect those numbers to drop anytime soon.

Where others would get burnt out, Impetus simply marches on. She rarely complains and when she does, it is because she has a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed. She reports on a consistent basis as Ward of the South for Scholae Palatinae, bringing the Clan into step with any current Wiki changes.

Impetus has been the an instrumental building block within CSP. She has done her job flawlessly as Ward of the South, creating, editing, and mentoring everyone, from journeymen and up, in how to create, maintain, and get the most out of their wiki and the clans wiki's. Imp has been an inspiration to both new members and vets alike, giving all for the clan and more. She has been a rock that the new members can lean on when they are in need of help, and a catalyst for the vets to step up and strive to help the clan as she does. As ward of the South, she has run competitions to both expand CSP and her members fictionally, but to also give her fellow members insight on how to construct a well organized and sound wiki by assembling lists of Wiki Article completion stages of everyone DJK or below (Xath did above).

Since her last promotion she has created the Order of the Dragon Logo, Dragon Support Scheme invented and implemented(NPCs), Made Order of the Dragon Website and Updated both Order of the Dragon Website and Wiki Page, Written a short bio for every new Order of the Dragon member, and added their name to the logo, Created Souls of Darkness Wikipedia page, Dark Paladin Wiki Page, Wards of CSP Wiki Page, Wrote HAD QUA initiation ritual. Also, below is the massive amounts of activity that Impetus has done.

Along with promoting the development of each member's wikis, she has created the groundwork for Elite BT and Wiki guides(Order of the Dragon Handbook, CSP Wiki plan, CSP Wiki Guide), and has worked on numerous other major projects including the Menagerie and Path projects(Edited CSP Menagerie Document & Assigned requirements to every animal in the menagerie, Vong Terraforming research). She is the epitome of what members should strive for: Paladin, Former Elite BTL, Seal of Loyalty recipient, and a Daughter of Palpatine. Phoenix has served as Consul of CSP with elan, skill, loyalty, and dedication. His work has been varied and wide in its scope to improve his Clan and the Dark Brotherhood as a whole.

Over the past nine months Phoenix has crafted and shaped the CSP Paths program designed to enhance and improve CSP. This program was submitted with documentation and a design that is uncanny in its similarity to the upcoming Dark Brotherhood discipline system. Although I delayed the release of the CSP system, I cannot discount the quality of work and effort that was put into it.

Phoenix has also been a major part of the design of an advanced system of PET ownership in CSP. This system is byond anything that the other clans utilize and is an excellent hold over until the DB possessions system is released. This well thought out and creative system offers CSP members a fair set of rules for obtaining PETS and creatures. CSPs affinity with animals and animalism make this system one that is natural and perfect for CSP's members.

Phoenix has also remained as a torch bearer for behavior and responsibility in the DB. His ethical approach and devotion to maintaining a standard of behavior within his Clan has improved the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. His open mindedness in the recent settlement of disputes with Clan Arcona has improved the atmosphere of the DB greatly.

These three major achievements in addition to Phoenix's daily duties as Consul are more than enough to make him a perfect choice for the AK.

Phoenix has grown considerably since he first joined the Clan Scholae Palatinae Summit in the Fall of 2006. Since then, he has acted as both the Clan's Proconsul and, now, the Clan Consul. From his perch atop the Clan's hierarchy he has helped steer the Clan through a tumultuous period into the great success they experience today.

He has been a driving force and catalyst for the Clan at times of Brotherhood-wide war, or Vendettas, since his appointment. He has helped lead the Clan through the most recent Great Jedi War: Incursion. Under his sage guidance, the Clan achieved the honor of Second Clan. This is due, largely, on his ability to step up in the final half of the Vendetta and with willpower, drive his Clan to a strong finish. It was also at his insistence that we modified our Battle Plan and adjusted midway through to facilitate our final placing. But he was not done here, as he was working with me to secure our future. By breaking apart what went wrong and analyzing the individual parts, we made lasting plans on how to lower the leader:member ratio and streamline the Envoy contact process. As well as make additional appointments that were necessary to open a third house and replace our Summit that had been cemented for almost an entire year.

Undaunted by his new position, Phoenix geared the Clan up for a major, fictional campaign following the Great Jedi War - Clan Scholae Palatinae's "Reclamation Campaign." Advising and overseeing, Phoenix ensured the Clan transitioned from fictional ruin (where the Vong had conquered the Cocytus System) to a jubilant celebration of our Clan's progression. With Lucien at his side, he oversaw a 30 event competition that ran the course of 33 days and awarded well over one hundred individual crescents. He would then cycle this momentum into the CSP Winter Games where over 30 individuals would participate and another thirty six awards would be handed down. He has also seen a tremendous amount of fictional growth during his tenure, as the Quaestors have developed their Houses and his Clan has seen a phenomenal jump in background and detail (Clan Dominion, Legions Update, Fleet Reset, etc).

All in all, Phoenix is a leader with vision. And he possesses the necessary tenacity to follow up and ensure his subordinates follow through on their promises. He is well deserving of an Amethyst Kukri and I am honored to share just a few reasons why he deserves it.

Phoenix is a great guy, and he does everything for his Clan-mates. Even though it has only been about seven months since his last promotion, this guy has more than earned special recognition for all of his feats, deeds, and everything else that he does . Sure, sometimes I get annoyed with his sluggishness and inability to grow a spine, but that's because I'm an impatient little kicker. If it weren't for Phoenix, Clan Scholae Palatinae would have been a complete failure.

He was appointed to Consul about five months ago, and, in that time, he has done so much for everyone around him. Initially, it was a rocky start - Braecen resigned after eleven months as Consul and massive leadership shifts occurred throughout the Clan. Pho got lost pretty easily, and he needed everyone's help to make sure he stayed on track and did the necessary work... and he stayed on track. He sped down that track like a speeding freight train with a red caboose!

As everyone should know by now, I have almost zero tolerance for absolute, unintentional idiocy. I supported Sith Warlord Phoenix Olkyssagh d'Tana Palpatine on his bid for Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae. I'm proud to say it. I'm proud to say that one of my closest brothers is now the leader of one of the Brotherhood's most illustrious Clans.

The Amethyst Kukri is awarded for someone who accomplishes A and B the C of D on a specific task. In my mind, there is one task that Phoenix has focused his entire heart, soul, and puny mind on... stability. Stability within the Clan's membership, stability within the Clan's leadership, stability with inter-Clan relationships, stability with Clan competitions/events... Phobird does it all, and he does it all without going insane.

Under Phoenix's reign, Scholae Palatinae has continued to flourish. With multiple projects underway, and many deserving members elevated, he has probably contributed the most to our Clan's overall development. With his guidance, the Facilities project, Dominion project, and numerous others have really begun to progress into their final stages of development. Under his guidance, House Dorimad Sol has been reawakened and become an integral part of Scholae Palatinae. With Phoenix, I have learned so much, and I really want to thank him for everything: his encouragement, support, mentorship, and all those great experiences that have made me really think and say, "What the...?"

If we consider our Clan a game of chess, Braecen developed the pawns to begin the game and earn our Clan an advantage. Now, Phoenix is developing the bigger pieces, taking out the real firepower, and concentrating on accomplishing the one goal that has eluded all the other Clans in the Brotherhood: taking down the King - the King that lays dormant on the other side of the field. Phoenix is great, and he is continuing our previous successes with his own in a way that many thought impossible. Even I thought that this was impossible... but he's changed my mind about him and the way he works.

Of course, we have our conflicts, and we don't always see eye-to-eye, but that's all right because Phoenix is awesome. Contrary to popular belief, Pho and I have plenty of fights, disagreements, skirmishes, red-light raids... Usually, it's because I'm an arrogant little prick, but that's all right because Phoenix is awesome.

Thank you, Phoenix. Thank you, and congratulations. You are, in its purest form, Clan Scholae Palatinae, and I salute you, my brother, for bringing a new sense of excellence to the table.

Telona is, in my mind, one of the prime examples of a Free Envoy, who are those envoys who, while active, are not assigned to any particular house or clan. She's served as an EP and, currently, as quaestor of House Gladius. She also wrote a character development guide that, while not in use at this time (due to the change over in Headmasters), I'm sure that it will be used throughout the Brotherhood within a fairly short time. Telona has constantly watched out for new members, both through her personal actions as well as those on behalf of the clan. For her dedication to the members of the Brotherhood, especially her house and clan, I know Telona has earned this award. As I write this, having just left Headmaster to become Consul of Tarentum, I can also safely say that, if she had the time and desire, I could see Telona as a superb Headmistress of the Shadow Academy.

Throughout my entire time as Justicar (almost a year now), Ben has been my most steadfast assistant. Hands of Justice come and go, but literally from day one Ben has been here to help me with my greatest weakness....coding. The day I became JST I had a blank website and many, many ideas, and Ben volunteered to be my web guy. He took that blank site and my crazy ideas and has turned it into one of the best resource pages in the entire Brotherhood. He has updated it very quickly whenever I have new ideas or content, he comes up with ideas to make things function better, and has never asked for anything in return.

The codex tells us that the Kukri is to be given for, "dedication and focus on furthering one aspect of the Brotherhood far beyond what was expected of them". Ben has no official position with the Chamber of Justice, yet he has consistently dedicated his time to ensuring that all members of the Brotherhood have this fantastic resource at their disposal. I've recommended many awards for Ben during this time in the DB, and I am proud to request that he be given the Amethyst Kukri for his longterm dedication and assistance to the Chamber of Justice and Justicar.
