Kamjin is Kamjin. He has served as Justicar since my departure from the position and continues to be actively engaged in all aspects of the club. Why? Because the guy cares. A lot. He looks at this community and wants it to prosper harmoniously. There's something to be said about knowing your limits and playing within them. He really wants to define those limits as openly as we can, ensuring that members are free to basically do whatever they want within this sandbox we all enjoy without stomping on each other’s sand castles.

In the position of Justicar, spanning 24 months, a lot of the work happens behind the scenes. And that’s where it should stay. Naming and shaming isn’t what this club should be about. That said, since his last recognition, Kamjin has issued 4 verdicts and been involved in countless intermediations. In fact, he is in constant communication letting us know as issues arise alongside the steps he takes. In this way, Kamjin is extremely competent and we always know what is being done by the time it is enacted. And that exemplifies Kamjin as Justicar. Open, engaged, and working for the betterment of the club experience.

Though I can’t speak to everything Kamjin does, I am happy to recommend Kamjin for an Emerald Dagger in recognition. Thank you, Kammy-boy. You have been a reliable presence in the wake of my own service as Justicar and I’m glad to award you.

Donny is a workhorse wrapped in the bark of sass and the art of trolling. Not one to be felled, or to cry timber, he has constantly worked within the gaming community sharing interesting new products and encouraging people to play together. I honestly can’t think of a time where he wasn’t one of the clubs more prevalent gamers. But he also serves as an important voice in Council level discussions. He absolutely won’t hesitate to identify bull and call it out. There’s a stubbornness there. An unwillingness to yield on who he is and what he’s passionate about. And he translates that passion into success.

The Fist is a position within the Brotherhood that is deceptive. It seems quiet. Unassuming. It’s just paperwork right? Focused on the approval of games and CFs? Wrong. It's community. And Donny has pushed for community throughout his service as Fist. Often suffering the passions of that community, Donny has taken to the office of Fist to ensure continuing and lasting collaboration in play and experience. Notably, he took the Battlepass project through its entirety as a replacement for the aging leaderboard system and made it complete. Now in the wild, members have engaged with the Battlepass and known exactly where and how they stood in their path to unlocking the awards it provides and the specialized items that Councillors have designed over the years. As well, he’s held a constant finger to the pulse of the gaming community, looking at constant balancing passes in a never-ending battle against the “grind” and ensuring the value of our Crescents remain.

For all those reasons, and the community fostered that includes multiple chat threads dedicated to specific games that constantly yells at me to read them, I am happy to recommend Donny for a Ruby Scepter in recognition. Thank you, Donny. You have given of yourself to this club even to the detriment of your sanity time and time again. The least I can do is recognize that.

Side note: don't you dare hand me a physical letter addressing me as Grand Master again!

Turel is not stranger to Council level work. Having served as Fist prior, he came into the role of Headmaster knowing the work and level of involvement required of the position. He took to it as he always does, with passion for championing the members and ensuring that we follow through on our commitments. He has overseen a variety of projects as well as outlined future work in a way that clearly defines what is expected of the outcomes. Beyond this, his dissenting voice in discussions is a welcome and dare I say required one to keep us honest in our deliberations and decision making. Because he is always championing the member, he won't hesitate to speak up or call out a decision that threatens to take us down a path we should avoid. As the steward of what could be easily called our knowledge center and guidelines, this is both a pivotal and critical position to take.

During the past 9 months of his service as Headmaster, Turel has championed a variety of projects that have streamlined the Shadow Academy. These projects include work that as seen recent fruition, such as the rework of several of our degrees including solving the bottleneck that was Savant degrees by making higher tier degrees count towards lower tier requirements. What I find personally noteworthy was Turel's efforts prior to the launch of the most recent Great Jedi War, Animus. He provided full video tutorials on a variety of our systems that would be critical to participation in the club-wide event. These videos were clear, concise, and provided much needed guidance that couldn't be confused as a member could see the exact interfaces and steps involved in real time. Finally, he has taken to streamlining our varying courses by removing complexity, such as exam questions, to make courses that aren't a chore, but a fun knowledge check that is easily completed.

For all this work, making the Academy more accessible and also of more value and use, I am happy to recommend Turel for a Ruby Scepter in recognition. Thank you, T. You work hard and always care. It's great to reward that.

Thran is the man. The Regent man. He is bringer of spreadsheets and potentially contrary opinions and this perspective is incredibly valued within the Council. A circle of “Yes” never produces the best outcome for those it affects. In terms of club impact, the Regent office gets pulled into just about every other project. This role affects the rewards our members get in a tangible way: their spending accounts and items. Thran understands this and carries the weight with purpose. I can point to just about any project thread I create and it has to include Thran in the deliberations. He takes on this role with purpose and an impressive turn around time that I can rely upon.

Having served 21 months as Regent, Thran has been involved in numerous Release packages and projects. Notable project completions include Weapon and Droid Upgrades, adjustments to the Credit availability in the club, Possessions pass and support for Seasonal efforts and Battlepass as well. These are not simple tasks. They are spreadsheets and formulae. Big ones. Everything is measured and standardized, not with a gut feeling, but with specific numbers and expectations. For everything that makes it to release, just as much never makes it off the page after review. It is a careful balancing act between incentivizing members with encouraging purchase targets and ensuring items make sense within our system.

With all the above, I can reliably confirm that the artist known as Thran is not three Ewoks in a trench coat. He is a project workhouse, and I am happy to recommend Thran for a Ruby Scepter in recognition. Thank you, Thran.

Jon Silvon has been part of the Sunrider summit for about the last 7 months and in that time he has worked tirelessly on Project Pathfinder and setting up a bright future for his House and his members. He tries to lead from the front, spearheading activity where he can and encouraging others to charge with him, which was evident during the most recent GJW where he snagged 14 Seals of Animosity.

It's a pleasure to watch him lead his house and talk to his members, creating the environment we expect from leaders in both COU and in the club at large. Other than that, Jon has gone above and beyond serving on the Envoy staff as well, helping to provide RP opportunities for others and is always available to talk shop about characters and role playing.

In addition to this, he's snagged himself a ton of awards for activity and beating out his competition. I would say that Jon has always been one of those I have enjoyed watching as he grew into the member and leader he is today and this award is just one more of the many he is still sure to earn.

Well done, Jon. Congratulations on your first Amethyst Kukri. You've earned this and more. Keep on keeping on, my friend. I'll see you in the next one.

What can I say about one of my oldest friends in the DJB and someone who has been in the club far longer than me? Other than you inspire me to just stick it out sometimes. I have seen you seraphol your way through the club and learn to mellow in your older years. I aspire to be more like you when I'm your age. LOL

Anyway, on a more serious note, you came back when the Clan and House needed you and got in a large amount of entries and points for the Clan in GJW. I know this medal is a long time coming, and it's not much, but it's still a sign we appreciate you, and I look forward to writing a rec for something bigger soon!

Willadean came into the Brotherhood like wildfire, ascending quickly through participation and achievement. During the Great Jedi War she contributed enough points to rank amongst the highest for Ventress, which warrants a Grand Cross award. Willadean continues to set an example for her Ventress peers and shines brightly as a valuable, contributing member. I am proud to recommend Willadean for this prestigious award and look forward to more greatness from her!
