On behalf of myself, Jac, Kir and Anshar

We award Windos Bruth'Kothae with an Amethyst Kukri for his work within the Shadow Academy.

Windos has done some outstanding work for the Shadow Academy. He has a less then 24 hour turn around no matter what project I throw at his and it is always done just as asked. He has done an incredible job assisting with the recoding of the Academy. He has taken and recoded almost every page within the SA with great skill and precision. He has taken a mountain of work and really produced something incredible that will greatly aide the Shadow Academy in the future.

Windos you have been a great asset to the Shadow Academy and I look forward to continuing to work with you.

-- His Excellency, Spears Optimate Tarentae, Knight First Class Headmaster of the Shadow Academy Right Hand of Justice Master Architect for the Brotherhood Thrice Marked of the Wanderer Baron Ale Pond: Keeper of the Estadian Expanse

Primary reason

From my first days in Tarentum, I didn’t really get a chance to know Rekio very well, but as time grew on I realized what Rekio really did, he has been a firm supporter of my work since I became a House summit, I was pushed as hard as Rekio wanted, at several times, I remember being at his door step asking a million questions, and proving myself worth of the family name, and to even get Quaestor of the House of Tridens,

I have had many late night chats with Rekio about a million and one different topics, and it never seems to amaze me that for as young as Rekio truly is, his vast knowledge and leadership skills were a great asset to me and this clan, he was able to bring out the best in me and others to strive and go on to better things. Rekio has been there to listen to my rants about the MAA Staff, and Dark Council. He has helped me be a better leader and has even shown this “Drama-Queen” a few tricks, I have thoroughly enjoyed his company, and I wish him all the best on his future endeavors.

So what can we really say badly about Rekio? I couldn’t find a single negative word about him, well besides he does hate being called junior. But seriously the clan has seen many changes and seen many different faces come and go, but Rekio has always stood there behind Tarentum, and even stood in front of the dealings we have done. It’s always a good sign to see your elders get there due props. Rekio has worked on the clan webpage and even got it going, the site looked awesome, and seeing as his busy schedule has kept him away most of the time, that even not around on mIRC, he’s still a factor, you know when your getting your ass chewed when you get a pm on AIM, but it was always a pleasure to have Rekio chat with you, even for the hell of it. We have flipped Rekio a lot of shit and well some of it was deserved but he never had a coarse word for you, unless you had it coming, his firmness and fairness was a blessing.

I do remember having to prove my “Spirit” to him when he knew I wanted the Quaestors spot, even telling me “not this time.” I was a bit let down, but I knew that he was being honest, but in a few short weeks I did want I could, and that showed Rekio that I deserved the spot, even after several pissing contests with Rekio my opinion has never changed the guy is just bar none the best Consul I have ever had, and I will for one miss his advice, as we all hope to see Rekio stick around to enjoy many more of our channel abuse. But seriously, Rekio is by far a good person to have covering your back, he has inspired me and countless others, his work ethic is top notch, he many not have it pronto, but when it is completed it’s a work of art.

But Rekio is one guy that I came to admire here in the DB, his patience and appreciation of my work, was always appreciated by me. His outstanding attitude was a blessing, and his skills are admired.

Thanks Rekio for making Tarentum what it is today.

Sith Battle Master Ma`ar-Tyrius Tarentae Quaestor to the House of Tridens

When I first came to Clan Tarentum nigh on two years ago Rekio was one of the first people to make the effort to come and talk to me, both as my QUA and also I’d like to think as a friend. After many a IRC conversation Rekio really pulled me out of a rut, I have to admit I was dispirited with the DB and from what I could gather on the chat rooms a purely gaming orientated club and as I couldn’t write worth a damn I was ready to give up. This led to one of the defining moments of my DB career when he became my Master.

Under his tutelage I learnt more about the camaraderie that existed in the DB better then any SA course could have shown me. He encouraged me to think of ideas and concepts all of which he worked diligently with me to perfect and if good enough incorporate into the Clan, out of this partnership came the Tarentae Chronicles, something I looked forward to writing and editing and something that wouldn’t have come forth if he hadn’t have been there for me.

An aspect of Rekio I came to appreciate both as his Apprentice and as my official leader on many different leaders was his directness, some might thing he was too blunt but he shot from the hip and everyone knew where they stood with him and what he expected them to do. He would never force anyone to do anything, instead he trusted in the sense of faith members had in the Clan to carry them through and to secure victory.

During my time as a younger member I have to admit the faith Rekio showed was incredible, eager for young members to shine and succeeded he went out of his way to help all those who wanted it and I find he still does this know. He will always take the time to answer questions and queries and not be too afraid to suggest what a member should be doing for the benefit of both the Clan and the member. This is reflected over and over during the last year which has overall been an incredibly successful year for Tarentum. All in all neither the Clan nor I would be in the positions we are today were it not for the steadfast reliability and determination showed by Rekio.

Master, I really can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for me over the couple of years but I hope this award will go someway to repaying the debt I owe you. Cheers :)

Welshman Corsair Bruth’Kothe van Dratio Tarentae

During my time in the Brotherhood, I have seen several Consuls come and go, sometimes to be replaced by their Proconsuls, but sometimes not. I was glad, though, when Rekio was granted the Consul spot after Bloodfyre became the Sith High Warrior. Rekio stepped up to the role easily, having not only been trained by Bloodfyre, but because of his love for the clan and the desire to see it improve. Rekio showed great skill when he took the reigns of the Clan and he always took the comments of the other leaders in the clan into consideration. Rekio had his idea on how things should go, but he never let this blind him to what reality dictated.

Having worked with Rekio, when I was Quaestor of Gladius, and as his second Proconsul, I can say that it has truly been a pleasure. We seem to be much of the same mind, rarely needing to consult with one another on matters. I don’t think we ever had a disagreement on anything. Rekio told me once that he saw me more of an equal than his second in command, something that I admit we disagree a bit on, but it went beyond mere words. He acted on these thoughts and let me run with my ideas, stepping in only to offer his opinion on the matter. Working with Rekio was a major factor that allowed me to continue my duties with the Shadow Academy and the Envoys.

I am glad for the opportunity I received to work with and under Rekio as his Proconsul. Time wise, and with my experience in the Brotherhood, I felt that I could have taken on a Consul position. Working with Rekio helped temper that idea and my time as his Proconsul has, without a doubt, helped me prepare for the Consul position. I really don’t think that anything we can give Rekio is truly thanks enough for his work as Consul, but he deserves something.

~DA Anshar Kahn Tarentae, Consul of Clan Tarentum

The following comments have been taken from the Clan mailing list, not all from Clan members:

Sorry to see you go, you’ve been a very good Consul. I could say more but your actions speak for themselves. ~Frosty I concur with Frosty. Ive been in Tarentum only a short time and havent seen alot of things but i know what the great job you've done Rekio. ~Archean Congratulations on getting to 1 year as Consul, Rekio. That kind of stability is hard to come by anywhere - most Consuls never make it past six months. I appreciate all of the work you have done for the Clan over the years, and I'm sure you'll continue to contribute outside of the Consul position. ~GM Jac

Ever since I joined you were my consul and even my guide, helping me where Sato couldn’t and was always there for me when I needed. I know you were like this to everyone, that is what makes you a perfect Leader, you know the do's and don’ts and still are able to be a personal friend. Like the members before me have already stated, it would be a direct shame to see you leave, although it was inevitable. I think I can say for all members of Tarentum if I tell you: Thank you Rekio and Good luck :) In Darkness, ~Ylith Romanae

Well, I guess its time for this old bantha to put in his two cents. It’s been great having you as CON. You’ve done one hell of a job over the past year. Hard to believe its been only that long. Hopefully you’ll stay with the clan and continue to serve. Good luck to ya! ~Zekk

You will be missed, my friend. ~ GRD Sephiroth Storm

Having competed against Rekio as head of Tarentum when I was a Consul, I can honestly say that he was the only leader (and yours the only Clan) I was always worried about - a testament to his abilities and the respect you all had for him. I've known him to be a tough competitor and at the same time a great Consul to work with. Great work with Tarentum Rek, I'm sure you'll be missed. ~Kir

I normally don't reply to message threads but I felt the need to say something :). Rekio, during the six short months that I have been a member of Tarentum, your leadership was outstanding. Your approachable and open personality lent itself perfectly to the role of Consul. I thank you for the stability and forethought you provided during the six months I lived under the aegis of your rule. I wish you the best of luck.
~Sato

I've served with you in the Rebel Squadrons and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, so I know what kind of guy you are. You're one of the most upstanding officers I've ever seen and we've had our share of good times together. You always tried your best even when you were faced with simply too much to do. Somehow you managed to pull through most of the time. You also brought me into the DB, and Tarentum, so I gotta thank ya for that. Too bad we didn't get to do more together, and yadda yadda. Hope everything turns out ok with you, and I also hope you'll come back sooner than later. ~Silent Jay

thanks to Rekio for his good job ~Rage

Trevarus Caerick has always been an important member of the Dark Brotherhood. He is creative, wise and willing to contribute to any venture. Over the years, I have come to know Trev as one of my closest friends and advisors.

For the last couple months, I have witnessed a renewed sense of urgency in Trev to work towards finishing his many projects. He has been piled on with the DSC, Hush Hush, the DV, and lots of other fictional elements of the DB that I ask him to help with. Trev has been working for a long time to get these things done and we are beginning to see great progress from the office of the Oracle. The new DSC has finally had the first few sections released, and more are soon to come. He and I working well together, and I think he has had a change in outlook for the better.

I have thought long and hard about what to award Trev for his recent service. When I looked at his dossier I noticed the gaping hole where the Amethyst Kukri should have been. Today I fill that hole.

I award Trev this Amethyst Kukri for his recent endeavors with the Dark SIde Compendium and the renewed activity toward completing that. I do fully believe that this award does not truly represent what the whole of the new DSC will mean for the DB -- that higher award is for another day.

For now, I just want to say to Trev: thank you. I appreciate your work as of late and I hope that It continues.

Since I've been appointed Master at Arms, Kaek has been instrumental in the good working of this office, working quickly while being thoughtful of what he was doing. His constant quest to improve not only our performance but also our interaction with the members. He has written many of the guidelines we are using today and has been instrumental in the creation and updating of other rojects me and CoFo were running. Definitely an irreplaceable asset for the Master at Arms Office and this is to show him my gratitude and appreciation for his work.

Dalthid does a ton as Combat Master, but on the side, he has also managed to bring out a different side of the DB -- the rockin' side!

For a long time, Dalthid has been writing, singing and recording songs that are about the Brotherhood, Star Wars and different aspects of our community. While some people still don't know about the songs, the ones that do rave about them. It has been recommended to me several times that Dalthid be awarded for writing them.

I was not sure what was an appropriate award for this, until I received Dalthid's Internal Report today. I then realized that no matter what I give him, and what I give it to him for, it would be deserved. Dalthid consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty. He is an excellent member, and excellent Combat Master and, as it would seem, an excellent song writer. We appreciate all that he does, and extend out gratitude with this award.

Primary reason

Early this year, Duga Arkarso has established himself as a consistent and dominant figure of participation within the Inter-Club Training Event. Since then, he has been in contact with countless other participants from the Brotherhood—not only setting an example of good sportsmanship but also forming many acquaintances with ICTE participants. Since March, he has become my most reliable administrator during my periodic absences throughout the events. He has also, without fail, taken my place during events which I was unable to attend and went ahead to administer the entire ICTE for that day. In June, especially, Duga has gone above and beyond my expectations. He has become an equal in the administration of the event, helping me shift the focus from traditional 1v1 ICTE matches to a more dynamic and diverse activity profile, including TTFA and CTF team matches. He has played an integral part as an assistant in not only assembling these matches but also participating in them. Without Duga, the redefinition and revitalization of the ICTE would not have been possible. In August alone, he has proven that he is more than capable of running the entire ICTE not only without error but with great success - by the number of matches played, advertisement, and compilation/release of results. Beyond all of this spectacular work, though, Duga has been a strong supporter and advisor on many of the day-to-day issues that arise during normal ICTEs. Should I become aware of a development pertaining to the event, I ensure that Duga also knows so that he can bring his own relevant and unique perspective to the situation. Duga Arkarso is an overall excellent assistant, a reliable equal, a fair administrator, and an aspirant replacement for my position. Duga is very deserving of this award.—DA Acxodim "DV" Pyralis

This recommendation was originally for a Sapphire Blade, but I think that an Amethyst Kukri is the truly deserved award. From my point of view, Duga is one of the Dark Brotherhood's all-stars. He is able to do everything and do it well. Of note to me especially has been his work on the Center for Interclub Alliances. as M:DGM, Duga has been in charge of getting our alliance system up and running. Since he took over, he has helped in interclub talks and set up a great website for the CIR. http://cir.darkjedibrotherhood.com .

I am truly impressed by his work. He does a ton for the whole DB, and then on top of it, is still dominant in his clan. Duga is a first-class member.

I ask today to see one of CEK's finest rewarded for his hard work over the course of our history. I am referring to Dark Adept Jonaleth and the marvelous work he has done, not only since I became Consul, but before.

Since I took CON, Jonaleth has been there advising me. On top of that, he has written numerous things (such as the Path of Kun document, the CEK History, AND the CEK History for the DSC to name a few) that the Clan uses every day (Chief amongst this is the Path of Kun).

The award I recommend for him is one he has lusted (and worked) for since he heard of their inception. The Amethyst Kukri is given for: Exceptional services in the form of single projects or long-term leadership to a Clan or single Council office. Bearers of this award have shown dedication and focus on furthering one aspect of the Brotherhood far beyond the norm. Jonaleth more than fits the bill for this reward, both for his long-term work for CEK and for his other work (requested by myself).

In addition, my Proconsul, Braecen has also submitted a recommendation to me for Jonaleth, so I thought I would include that here:

Since joining the community of CEK one person has, in my eyes, gone beyond the call of duty to his members. In my case, Jonaleth Isradia protected me when certain members of the DB were out to have my head... he took me on as an Apprentice and groomed me into the Proconsul I am today.

While working by his side I have been witness to several breathtaking stories and documents scribed by the Krath Adept. He took the rough outline of the Path of Kun, hashing it with House Byss's old promotion guidelines... creating a detailed, descriptive document that has helped CEK have one of the highest promotion ratings in the DB. I have also worked by his side in the tidious task of developing Clan Powers. Everytime we think we have a theme and forge out the powers (only to be scrapped again!) he keeps a smile and simply asks, "what next?"

Most recently he completed our 'Clan History' project for the Oracle, it was a rendering of the Clan history from a first person perspective. After only a few alterations (it took him 3 days in all) he had a breathtaking document that spoke of what Clan Exar Kun was, is and will become! He is also monitoring a run-on for House Byss 'How the mighty have fallen' and isputting superb details into his story as he keeps it rolling...

Finally I would like to commend Jonaleth on his patience and excellent writing. I have been developing a large scale Clan competition and he has worked by my side as I developed this idea from a rough sketch to a masterful 20 page story! Jon coached me on my writing, then went through and nitpicked the flaws.. fixing many of them himself. Thank you for your work Jonaleth Isradia Kunar...

~Braecen Isradia

My thanks for your consideration in this matter.

Grand Master Chi Long

Consul, Clan Exar Kun

Congratulations on your AK from the GM and DGM, Jonaleth!

Shadow has been my Magistrate for some time now, and the newly posted Rites of Combat would not yet have been here, if it was not for his work on them. He came up with the first draft, after only being told that I wanted to make them, and has been updating them as the discussion about them went on.

Also, he is working with me on getting the Obelisk HQ ready, as well as the Obelisk Order Powers, and generally commenting on random things related to the OHC's office that I have running through my mind at any given time.

Furthermore, no-one can deny the work he has been putting into the entire Obelisk order, even before I hired him. As a result of all this, and with Jac's approval, I hereby award Shadow Taldrya an Amethyst Kukri.

Congrats, and may the Thrust be with you.

During his nearly 6 month tenure as my Left Hand of Justice, Kir Katarn has redefined to me what a person who holds the position should be. He has constantly taken his duties seriously, always attempting to aid me in every way possible, and more importantly, trying to aid the members of the Brotherhood. He has been tireless in attempting to resolve disputes between members and Clans, often having problems resolved before I have even had chance to learn of them. I am thankful that I was able to serve this time with Consul Katarn, and even more grateful that the members of the Brotherhood had the chance to have such a man as their representative to the Chamber of Justice. -Justicar Keirdagh Cantor
