I was gonna be all technical and boring and let other people say fancy words, but Xantros (see below) beat me to it. So I get to be a bit mushy then.

It's been a joy having Seals around and watching her engage with everything and everyone. From the weekly round up, to helping people with art projects, to just chatting with everyone around, Seals just makes it a better place by being with us.

Seals, congratulations on this well earned promotion to the highest level of the Equites. You have made us all proud of how far you've come and how far you'll go is something I can't wait to see.

Seals has just been awarded her first ever Ruby Scepter at the end of January, but this does not stop her from being awesome. Let me dive into the numbers available at the moment of writing this recommendation:

• 7 roleplaying sessions as a participant (7564 words)

• 6 Society ranks up (2 Inquisitorious, 2 Shroud Syndicate and 2 Envoy Corps – Participant)
• 1 Silver Nova
• 70 Crescents (6 Cr-D, 9 Cr-R, 17 Cr-A, 20 Cr-S, 12 Cr-E, 4 Cr-T and 2Cr-Q)
• 962 Crescents of Fire
• 25 Clusters of Ice
• 62 Clusters of Graphite
• 1 Ruby Scepter
• Almost 3 months as Wildcards BTL
• 4+ months as a member of Herald staff (Magistrate & and Praetor)

All what she has done earned hear more than 44,000 XP required to receive a promotion to the final rank of the Equites. However, there is much more to praise Seals for. She is an active member of COU and DJB commnity in Discord, always calm and friendly towards other members of the club. She does not only participate in competitions or organize them, but she also encourages other people to take part in them by posting links in Odan-Urr and Sunrider channels. Her service to the Herald has already been praised by others. Seals' contributions to the Brotherhood as the community are invaluable and prove that she is more than ready to advance to the rank of Equite 4.

Syrena Valkar has reached the required 44000 XP to reach the rank of Equite 4.

Of all the things I get to write, promotion recommendations are among the best. And when they're for milestone ranks? Man, this always gets me a bit weepy.

I remember all the times Kav has come to me asking for advice about how things are done or how to implement a new idea or even just wanting to see how the days have been going. She has become more than just a member, she's become a friend.

And isn't that what we're all here for? A shared love in a shared space to find friends we might not have otherwise? I normally get to be the to wax poetic about how much a member has done and in this case, it's very much a privilege.

Since the last time we were here, Kav has done outstanding amounts of work for the Herald's office and provided many people with truly wondrous works of art.

Kav organized 30 comps for her people, participated in another hundred on her own, wrote about 20,000 words of fiction, earned 500k credits for her clan and a truly staggering number of competition awards and merit awards, including an Amethyst Kukri and a Sapphire Blade.

It is truly a pleasure to congratulate this member, this friend, on her promotion to Equite 4. We'll done, Kav. We're all so proud of you and can't wait to see what's next.

Syrena, you're a fount of knowledge and new perspectives we've very rarely had in the office.

Syrena has been a flurry of activity and positivity since she joined the club, and although life has not been especially kind to her the last few months, never has she let that impact how she's acted towards her staff and house members. I am beyond proud to be her mentor and her aedile, and to see her storm through all of her problems head on when others might stumble.

This will be your last promo for a while, but it's also a huge milestone. We are so incredibly proud of you, the whole of COU, for everything you've done for us. Though you will be leaving our summit soon, I hope this frees you to have as much fun as you could possibly have as a member of Odan-Urr.
