I miss Aldaric, though I know he's focusing more on real-life he's continued to be a pillar within the DJB. He has engaged with Caliburnus and helped encourage activity and he continues to maintain a fantastic turn-around time with his Shadow Academy courses being graded.

What is represented here, beyond the recent activities, is the backlog of experience he's gained from his time on the Fist's staff, to gaming, to contributing with the DJB as a whole. If he had not had an AK already he'd have received this at the onset versus during our periodic awards sweeps.

I hope he knows that we recognize him for all he's done and look forward to the time when he can contribute at the same levels again.

Warlord Rayne Palpatine has reached the required 11533 Medal XP to earn their first Amethyst Kukri.

I legit just said I was going to stop handing out shiny stabby thingies to my clan because they all want to use them to stab me. Yet, here comes Rayne, knocking out more and more XP to get the awesome purple shiny stabby thing!

Rayne has recently joined the Scholae Palatinae summit and I couldn't be happier. She has demonstrated what always existed; a drive to improve the clan and to create opportunities for our members. I imagine she's the type of person whom in real life someone says "I might be willing to go surfing" and Rayne grabs them by the arm and says "that's awesome, I'll do it with you!"

She always appears open to game, chat, work on character development, role-play, she's a constant companion to anyone in the club. In her new role she's taken on a more formal guidance of our newer members in the clan and I can see her hand in helping to shape them to be amazing new members.

Thank you, Rayne for all you do!

Where to start with Juda? He has a hand in everything that happens in Clan Vizsla. From the day-to-day running and administration stuff to wiki work and mentoring new members. It is simply amazing the number of things he gets accomplished on a nearly daily basis.

I will start with something that has become the priority in Vizsla. Recruitment and retention, Juda has developed a system to help us retain new members that include one on one emails and chats at weekly intervals. He instituted weekly emails for competition reminders and revamped how we handled the master-apprentice program, and how we recruit new members. Has it worked? Vizsla at the end of the last Vendetta was the smallest clan in the brotherhood and it had been years since we had someone reach JM4. Vizsla is now the second largest clan and we have had 2 knightings this year as well as some promising candidates moving up the ranks now. His focus and work on this have been nothing short of amazing and this alone is extremely noteworthy to have a clan growing when the brotherhood has been in a steady decline for a while numbers-wise.

While the sheer amount of work Juda has put in on the member retention side of things probably has earned him this AK I would be remiss if I didn't mention his leadership as PCon. The day-to-day things that make a clan function are often overlooked but are essential to having a successful and fun clan. Discord has become where he lives. Constantly on the chat interacting with members. Most mornings start with Juda greeting the clan and end with him still chatting with people when I turn in for the night. These interactions with members are essential to getting people to stay engaged. We all may like the awards and promotions, I love the credits. But we have all stayed here because of the friendships that are primarily built-in chat. Nearly everything he does and the decisions he helps me make are tied back to member experience and retention.

Quite simply put, Vizsla would not be where it is today if Juda was not working so hard to make it successful. His work and continued effort for this clan are nearly unmatched. I am honored to award you this AK for the sheer amount of work you have done in making our clan what it is today. Congratulation Juda

I want to echo Shimrahs recommendation. Occultan (Mako) is a workhorse for Vizsla and his assistance in building out the planet of Korus wiki has been a considerable boon to completing it. We as always are appreciative of your efforts Occultan and want to congratulate you on your newest shiny stabby.

Additional reasons

Another quarter, another Sac. Occultan has been absolutely incredible. But that shouldn’t surprise anyone with his recent promotion to Elder. I wish I could clone him, then we’d have a chat channel that’s hoppin' all the time, world-building galore, tons of comp submissions to grade, and the best part, lots of medals to hand out.

Elder 1. Boom. Career achievement. With that, most would take a break after their lofty accomplishment, not Occultan. He’s been on fire with activity, submitting to a total of 68 competitions while earning himself over a dozen crescents in the process, as well as 2x Clusters of Ice and 6x Clusters of Graphite.

The biggest thing, to me as Occultan’s QUA, is his level of detail. Since being appointed, I’m running a world-building competition for House Deathwatch’s new home, Korus. “Give me ideas”, was basically the gist of the competitions. Occultan didn’t just give me ideas, he shot way above the bar and gave me whole entries, from start to finish that made their way into the final wiki page. Knowing what I know now, it wasn’t necessary to run the competition, I could’ve just handed the project off to Occ and said have at it and I would have rest easy at night knowing that the project was in fantastic hands. But because of Occ, the Korus wiki page will have a TON of depth and detail to it.

Occultan’s presence within the house and clan and his work ethic makes it an absolute joy to be his QUA and get to recommend this award for him. I can’t think of anyone else in the entire DB that deserves to be rewarded as he does. I’m thrilled to have you in HDW, Occ. Congrats.

Koda isn't just a fantastic member of my summit, he's a fantastic member of the club. I'm lucky to have him in Taldryan. He's the type of guy that will throw himself into whatever you give him, no questions asked.

My case in point is the recent work He's done on the Taldryan Tallies, having updated the images as part of his summit work.

He's also hosted 17 competitions, many of those were from the Crusader's Comical Comps which he recently ran for Taldryan.

In total, he's participated in 29 competitions and has earned the following awards;

Crescent with Ruby Star x1

Crescent with Amethyst Star x2

Crescent with Sapphire Star x3

Crescent with Emerald Star x2

SA courses passed x9

Degrees earned x4

I'm proud to be able to recommend Koda for his first Amethyst Kukri! Congratulations, Koda!

Additional reasons

During his time as Magistrate in the Herald Office, Koda has been a dedicated and valuable part of the staff. Being responsible for the creation of one Selector Robe Skin consisting of a total of fifteen (15) single images as well as the creation of a custom Elder Robe Skin.

Koda's steady presence in the Herald chat, helping with advice and criticism where needed, only comes second to his presence in the Brotherhood's art chat where he regularly comments on other members' art and postings while contributing art of his own.

Primary reason

Since their last award just shy of the turn of the year from '21 to '22, giving them a year and some change, Mune has been a busy bee. 92 competitions participated (against 108 if one counts containers), averaging about 6 per month, and organizing 1 along the way. Of these, Mune earned 23 placements evidenced by their Silver Nova and variety of collected Crescents for a solid 25% placement rate. Now, Mune is a fairly well-rounded participant in the Brotherhood: 6 Clusters of Fire, 20 of Earth, and 8 of Graphite show they are ready to tackle just about anything if the conditions are right. But where Mune really shines is fiction. In those fifteen-odd months, Mune has slammed out 48,992 words of fiction to net them a nice 106 Clusters of Ice. This comes as no surprise given their critical role in standing up the Envoy Corps RP society, which Marick will no doubt want to touch on in more detail. For posterity purposes though, over thirty two thousand of those words of fiction were in RPs alone.

Now Mune has spent the last four months as an Exarch Staffer, and since that award mentioned way up top, also worked as Praetor to the MAA for the full duration. As a former MAA staffer, I can guarantee that, while the work load waxes and wanes, they are never truly done. So from here I will let others say their piece. But to Mune: thank you for doing what you do and for putting yourself out there for Arcona. We appreciate it, and it does not go unnoticed.

Qyreia Arronen, 2023-03-12 19:17:22 UTC
Additional reasons

Mune has been an exemplarity member of the Exarch Team over the past four months, and a key contributor to our speed and success with launching a brand new Society from the ground up. When doing a project like this, there are many small yet crucial details that need to be accounted for. Mune was that person for us as they would proof read something, spot it was off, and then make suggestions on how it could read better for the future members that would be needing to understand the content. They were a big part in the creative discussions around the Envoy Corps' theme, and they also helped dig into the weeds of the technical workings of the trophy progression system. Back and forth dialogues with the rest of the staff in our discord channel helped make sure ideas were tackled from multiple viewpoints, and never locked in to just one person's singular ideas.

Mune has also lead the charge in hosting sponsored Exarch RPs, working with the community and testing out new rulesets and ideas to create fun, immersive experiences for our members. Even when not leading an RP, they are always active and engaged in the RPs that they take part in, which beyond the word-counts means so much for the spirit and energy of being excited about the new potential of Roleplaying activities in the Brotherhood.

Mune has also, of course, helped with the backend admin that we're responsible for, reviewing finished RPs and getting them submitted for Voice review in a timely manner.

Mune sets the bar for what I hope members of our Roleplaying community can look to model themselves after. Thank you for all your hard work, Mune, and for being a rock for me when I have crazy ideas and need someone mostly sane to bounce them off of. Look forward to more work in the future and everything that comes next!

Teebu continues to keep me on my toes in the best way possible. Whenever he's not busy being a position holder in three different staffs (Taldryan Summit, Regent Staff, Exarch Staff) he's helping me organise events for Taldryan.

Namely the recent Taldryan event, the Saijo Superweapon in which he helped me co-organise tbe event, as well as determine story points. He also Co-hosted the RP with me for the event.

In total since his last recognition, Teebu has participated in 8 competitions and earned the following awards;

Crescent with Ruby Star x1

Crescent with Amethyst Star x1

Crescent with Quartz Star x1

SA courses passed x 47

Degrees earned x7

ACC battles completed x1

Lastly, he has accumulated 4179 Medal XP, which already pushed him to a Grand Cross. However, with his work on both the Regent and Exarch Staff (Both Noobis and Wally will comment on that) I am happy to say he has earned his first Amethyst Kukri!

Congratulations, Teebu!

High Inquisitor Anderson, 2023-03-06 20:42:55 UTC
Additional reasons

I can confidently say that over the last two months, Teebu has really surprised me and stepped up the ante as a Regent Staffer. He has been reinvigorated by our work on recently completed and incoming projects, working hard to bring new and exciting content to the Brotherhood's possessions system and keep things fresh. Just one month ago Teebu worked alongside the other Magistrate, Korvis, to spearhead implementation of our fifth booster release - Confederacy II - which saw a swath of CIS and "The Mandalorian" items hit the stores for both members and clans.

Since then, he's assisted so far on two additional projects: He was a helping hand during our recent switch up of the Celebration Store, which was focused on changing the way that store worked from its previous "special editions and rare items" vibe into strictly special editions you can't find anywhere else. He was also instrumental in development of Project Craft-'Em-All's new site trophy and superspecialgrantedcraftingmaterial item type costs, which have set the stage for the rest of this expansive project and have already been approved by the GM/DGM for us to continue working.

Without his efforts over the last two months, the Regent Staff probably would not already be well into the deep on Project Craft-'Em-All, which is a major change from how the previous iteration (Masterwork Possessions) was going to work and function and overall is a lot more effort. To thank him for his service, I'm support this award and am adding this recommendation for his first Amethyst Kukri.

Keep up the good work, Teebu.

General Zxyl Bes'uliik, 2023-03-06 19:17:31 UTC

Teebu's work on the Exarch Staff turned out to be the secret sauce I hadn't realized we were in dire need of. When it came time to batten down the hatches and go full speed ahead to ram the iceberg that was the metaphoric challenge of launching a first-of-its-kind Trophy-based society for the RP system, Teebu stepped up and performed where it mattered.

Wait, why was I talking about icebergs? Oh, right, challenges that look small on paper but end up being much larger when you look beneath the surface. One of the foremost challenges we faced when designing this system was "projecting" rankings based on the points we set up.

Teebu was able to take the existing data and create data model/simulations for us that helped us tweak/figure out the magic formula for how to account for RP Activity. In truth, the launch of the Envoy Corps wouldn't have happened as soon as it had if it weren't for his hard work and lots of manual data entry that was required to tweak and re-export the results.

Beyond that, Teebu was able to take the data and work with it in a constructive mindset. While there were some struggles through the process, I watched Teebu, I think, mature a bit and understand the gravity of launching something for the entire Brotherhood rather than just something that affects a clan.

He's been a great addition to the staff otherwise, engaging in conversations and debates and helping with the design and implementation of the reward structure and items. He's helped process a few RPs in the queue as well.

Thank you for all the hard work, Teebu. It's appreciated by me, and now, I hope, by the rest of the Brotherhood.
