The All New and Improved ACC is the result of nearly nine months worth of coding, coding which has been performed almost in it's entirety by Kalen alone. It should surprise nobody that this by itself is no small feat and worthy of recognition, but allow me to add that this has been achieved while also juggling the tasks of a full-time DC position and a quite busy real-life situation. Kalen has, since work on the ACC started, survived the ever-increasing and ever-changing requirements and wishlists for the ACC, and has managed to deliver a product that we can all be proud of and will certainly shape the experience for members of our site for years to come. I will leave the mentioning of his accomplishments as Master at Arms to my fellow Dark Councillors, and close by stating that this Emerald Dagger is very well deserved. - SCL DJM James Lucius Entar Arconae

The ACC is the culmination of over one year of dedication and effort. The process to design a new ACC started with an ideology of story driven dynamics that began with the new character sheets and continued throughout the ACC's development. Our MAA, Kalen Aquillarum, served as the primary coder and an integral part of the ACC team . He participated through our early design planning and crafted our ideas into a reality. This was no easy feat due to changing priorities, new ideas, and project creep that altered and changed the design of the ACC in more ways than we can count. Beyond coding, Kalen's own ideas shaped and crafted the ACC and resulted in the finished project launched today. Our new ladder system is his baby and its value will be shown in the coming weeks with a Vendetta level competition. I'm honored to recommend Kalen for the Emerald Dagger, a truly deserved award. - Grand Master Pravus

Kalen has spent the majority of the last year coding alone on a project that, finally today, the entire club can enjoy. He was always willing to work in my changes, often despite them not making a ton of sense at the time I requested them. On top of that, every feature he implemented was met with yet another request, and all he was more than willing to see through. Despite pulling double duty as the coder for this major project and MAA, Kalen was able to put together a great system that the club can enjoy for years to come! For that, and for putting up with my endless list of requests, he deserves this Emerald Dagger! ~Mav

Dark Jedi Master Aidan Kincaid, aka Shadow, should be credited with nearly every design concept and invention found within the new ACC. Shadow's ideas crafted a new ideology to focus on story driven character sheets and in turn a story driven ACC. This new ideology was designed in order to bring the ACC to a wider audience and support our club's transition from a gaming organization to a fiction oriented organization. The development of Fate based character sheets is owed to Shad, multiple aspects of our new grading mechanics designed to enhance story are owed to Shad, and nearly every current ACC venue is owed to Shad's editing/writing. Shad's work on the ACC has been spectacular, time consuming, and we are fortunate that he has provided us with his efforts. An Emerald Dagger is a well deserved award and one that fitting for a member who worked without expectation of any award at all. Thanks Shad. I appreciate everything you gave to this project. - Grand Master Pravus

Without Shadow, I wouldn't be involved in the ACC much at all... and I wouldn't have picked up the character system. Shadow's influences, though, extend far past these two systems, to virtually every fictional endeavor we have worked on. New NPCs? Shadow can do it. Wiki needs updating? Shadow already realized and has started doing it. In a way, Shadow's work on the fictional side of this club is almost everywhere, yet he absolutely refuses to take credit for almost anything, making it difficult for the average member to really see his contributions - beyond the stellar quality of his writing that routinely places in every competition.

Back to the ACC specifically, Shadow co-write the ACC Guide with Halc, wrote or adapted every single current venue in the database, created the initial site plan from which Kalen built the site, and has edited every single document we've had relating to the ACC, to judging, and to any other endeavor. On top of that, he served as a Judge through Open Beta, and was one of the most active participants in the ACC tournament, where he has now reached the Finals.

To put it simply, Shadow more than deserves this Emerald Dagger. He has been absolutely essential to not just this project, but just about every fictional project we've worked on over the last year. ~ Mav

The Dark Council is seen mostly as the ruling body of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. A lot of times we forget, however, that the work these people do everyday is not done for their personal gain or interest. No position is more selfless, however, than Herald. A Herald's sole purpose is to create. To bring ideas to life in a way that only certain people with certain gifts can. Creations for the benefit of others. And in truth, that was something the Brotherhood missed during the course of a year long competition, with our former Heralds time being absorbed by real life. Enter Orv, or Baxir as we now know him (curse you, Esoteric!). Orv had already served a long stint as a Dark Councilor. and we always enjoyed his art work, whether it was character commissions or an entire RoS comic. We took it for granted that he ALSO was our head coder, which is how many people remembered him before he had to step down. It was refreshing, then, to see not only a new style of art introduced into the Brotherhood (in the form of lightsabers and robes), but how he didn't even flinch with getting right back and involved in projects that will go on to change the look and feel of our club for years to come. The weekly comics he started doing where not a requirement, but something that brought joy to the entire brotherhood. He revitalized the entire Herald staff, set them up in a position where they could better address and meet the members needs, while diving headlong into the plethora of projects that needed to be done for the sake of the club.

The join form is where new members will get their first taste of Orv, as he created a Light Side and Dark Side character to help make the choice of selecting your path more organic. They will then see it in subtle ways as they move throughout the site in the small Clan Logo's on the side bar, or access the Wikipedia color scheme (which, finally looks like it matches our Site theme, no more ugly yellow links yay!). When they go through the selectors to pick their robes and sabers, they will also see a series of creations that came out of Herald Style Hanuka creations. They will also benefit from the Avatar submission guidelines he created, which shows that he wasn't just an artist, but someone who worked on a technical level to ensure everything worked. Always willing to compromise, I never saw Orv raise his "voice" or get flustered in a conversation about policy. His level headed approach to everything is inspiring to all, and it shows with how well received the changes he's made have held.

He even went so far as to join us in Hangouts on Google Plus; allowing members to watch his process as he drew while offering tips to artists interested in learning more about the craft. That apparently extended to, on New Years, drawing a representation of my likeliness in a sea-shell bikini. Complete with plenty of phallic additions, of course. Thanks...buddy. (But srysly, you might want to get that subconscious habbit checked out :P)

When I was just starting out in Arcona, Orv was an example I tried to strive for. That sentiment still stands to this day, exemplified by his passion, ability to work with anyone (regardless of their background), and easy smile. In my humble opinion, Orv embodies what you expect out of a Dark Councilor: passion, dedication, and a selfless desire to improve the club and help as many people as he can. And not just for leaders, but any member of this club can only hope to one day be as universally loved as Orv.

Thank you, Orv, for your long-term dedication, vision, and commitment to the brotherhood. Thank you for inspiring those around you to be better, and of course thank you for everything you have done for us since stepping in as Herald for the past 5 months. ~ Marick Arconae, Consul

If Orvles isn’t blushing by the time I’m done writing this recommendation, then I didn’t do my job. He was nothing short of inspiring as Herald. I worked for him as his Praetor for four months, and it was four months of hard work and fun. Orv worked hard on many projects at once amid the various tasks that had to be done day to day. I’m sure this isn’t even a full list, but he did things such as the twitter and facebook covers and join images, his own rotating banner image, the DJB Icon font/clan images and credit symbol, 404 and 500 error page images, Avatar policy wiki article, numerous sabers and robes for Herald Style Hanukkah, logo for HOU military force, several Herald reports, and of course the hilarious and thoughtful weekly webcomics that the membership loved.

It certainly doesn’t stop there. Much of it was behind the scenes, the things that I was privy to see, that made up a good bulk of the work. Orvles compressed the core site images, updated the HRLD lightsaber wiki to add the request table, made a lightsaber request wiki hilt image, cleaned up and organized the DB DeviantArt page, cleaned up and updated the Warbanner Photoshop file to make it even easier and faster for the staff to create them, added the SA logo to the icon font, designed and styled the news waterfall post layout, added meta description & keywords to site (extremely important for SEO), made CSS tweaks to the website, Wiki CSS tweaks, Test of Lore tweaks, new Join form, and even brought back the Wiki navbar. I could be wrong, but I think he brought back the forum navbar too, which had been broken for quite some time. There are some other projects that Orv was working on that are secret squirrel, probably some that I don’t know about myself, but I’m sure Muz can attest to the work he’s done on those fronts.

As a leader he was a lot of fun. I watched him create his images a few times and early on he would critique my own and offer suggestions, and then later do the same for the new Magistrates that came aboard. He let me run with my ideas and supported them. We usually agreed on everything, and those we didn’t he would always offer supportive evidence that pretty much turned my opinion around. Orv was really good at that. :P

Orv didn’t just make pretty pixels. He made the club better in a short amount of time, and it wasn’t for reward, he did it because he was passionate about the work and the club itself. I think the biggest evidence was in the webcomics that he just decided to do. Everyone can see that passion in his art, the cleverness, and the care to actually depict real characters from DB. That right there is Orvles in a nutshell. I absolutely enjoyed working with him as he was fun, and he inspired me greatly to improve myself and have fun in the Herald office as well. If I had an Ellie Badge I’d pin it on him, but I suppose this sacramental award will have to do. Thank you!

~Socks, Praetor to the Herald

Today, I have talked to Baxir. Recently, he's been finding that his real-life work has been taking him more and more time. Sadly, that means that he has had less time to do his work as Herald. I have asked him to stay on and continue his awesome webcomics for us as magistrate to the Herald.

Now, recently, he's been busy, but before that, he was most prolific. The activity tracker for the HRLD office has a lot of entries for the man, as it should...but they aren't as readily visible as just showing great big piles of lightsabers and robes. He's done graphical work, yes. He manhandled Herald Style Hannukhah, he's done up new navbars for the wiki, join characters for the new join form and the social media accounts and the aforementioned webcomics that help keep us all laughing. But he's done a lot more than that. He's pushed forward the concept of a Graphics society, to help grow our artists into something better, a resource for those of us learning and looking to do more. He's also worked diligently to codify and document the unwritten (or horribly out of date) policies that guide the Herald's office. It's been a lot of work, and it's worth our praise and thanks. To that end, I am very pleased to award Baxir an Emerald Dagger as a token of our thanks. Your time with us is always appreciated. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

Another consistently performing badass on the Council has been Solari. He's been the Rock of the DC, pun absolutely intended. His organizational skills help keep us all on track, and his ability to get work done in a quick timeframe is insane. He's been one of the big reasons that we were able to get the crusade results out so fast, and was the one in charge of tracking participation numbers throughout. Further, he's always been there to calm people down, temper their animosity before they do anything regrettable. He's also been a big driving force on the new member process, helping to streamline things so that hopefully, we get more and more people through it and into the clouses. It's been a lot of work so far, and Solari shows no signs of slowing down. To show our appreciation for all that he's done, I am happy to award him with an Emerald Dagger.

On the topic of people that have pulled more than their weight, it would be remiss to forget Pravus. Over the course of the past year, Sarin/Pravus has been central to many of the projects that have been working through. He's been the guiding hand behind the phenomenal work of the ACC reconstruction team, helping to make sure that it is both familiar enough for most to work with and enjoy and yet different enough to throw off the shackles that the recent history of the Centre has had. Pravus has also been the point man on all things fictional. He's written the intel packets for each of the crusade planets. He's done more fiction marking than even he wants to recall. He's helped to guide the work behind the ever moving plotline for the brotherhood. He's gone back in time, tightening up the myriad inconsistencies in our historical lore. All while maintaining a stressful real life, two really cool children, and a fresh love for FIFA. Most overlooked is his ability to separate himself from his current roles and be able to advise me as only a former grand master can. It's been necessary, and much appreciated. For this intense workload, for his continued drive to help us make the Brotherhood great, I am honored to present him with a second Emerald Dagger.

During the well over 6 month he is serving as my Aedile, Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor has always reminded me and served me as an example on how a person who serves as part of Taldryan's Summit should be. He constantly takes his duties serious, may it be his weekly reports with its attached competitions or him taking part in nearly if not all available competitions, no matter if they are part of a Vendetta or regular competitions, while always attempting to aid me in every way possible, and more importantly, trying to aid the members of the Taldryan may it be in their strive to advance within the Brotherhood ranks or simply listening to problems they have, giving advice as best as he can.

Since his appointment, Yacks is tireless in his attempt to teach the newer members of Taldryan the "old values", that it takes more to be a successful House than working selfishly for one self and that we all look beyond our own needs in favor of the bigger goal, to bring both Taldryan and the Brotherhood forward.

For as long as I know him and especially during the last year, Yacks has been the forefront of Taldryan in every possible way, and I can do nothing but to thank him for the dedication and devotion to the Taldryan and its members as well as the awesome work he has already done and will do in the future, while never expecting anything else in return. For all of this work combined with the time he is now serving as my Aedile, there can only be one appropriate reward, the Emerald Dagger. Thank you Yacks.

OP Rian Aslar, Quaestor of House Taldryan.

Yacko Yacko Yacko. You are my Aedile now - the boss of me. That is a pretty weird if you think about it in the grand scheme of things. Two (ish?) internet Star Wars clubs, more than sixteen years - and this is the first time we are in the same chain of command. For years (hell, I can say decades - right?), I have heard stories about Yacks' leadership abilities, his tenacity, and his drive. Sure, I saw it from different units, saw snippets of it from afar when I was on the Command Staff and Dark Council, or read about it (as is the case in referring to his time as the Brotherhood's first post-split Justicar). Now I get the pleasure (or not?) of seeing and experiencing Yacko as a subordinate - and it seems like the stories were not over-stated.

Since his appointment as Taldryan's Aedile on June 23rd, he has been a force to be reckoned with, both inside Taldryan and the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. For starters, he has taken up the long lost (apparently, given the Brotherhood's current standards) art of writing weekly reports since his appointment, those are in addition to his periodic shorter news posts. So for those of you keeping score, that is 25 weekly Aedile reports (and we are not going to count the smaller news posts). Let's do a little comparison, shall we? The most active main body Dark Council position, Fist of the Brotherhood, has 9 reports associated with it since Yacks' appointment.

By comparison, Yacko has written 177.778% more reports than that position, and 292.157% more than the mean number of reports (6.375). Yacko shines comparison with the Brotherhood's Independent Unit Leaders and Deputies as well: Yacks has 177.778% more reports than the most active Independent Unit Leader or Deputy Position (Naga Sadow Proconsul), and 306.977% more reports than the average (6.143 reports per position).

In terms of Crusade performance, Yacks is in a very limited group of special members of the Brotherhood, those that have done all of the things. There are only 5 of us, out of 243 participants (2.06%), and what it translates into numerically: Yacko participated in 209.872% more events than the mean (average) participating Brotherhood member, and 342.857% more than the mode level of participation. In terms of Novae, Yacks earned (by unofficial counts): 6 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze Novae (a total of 12): which translates into 301.633%, 258.47%, and 105% more than the mean of those members of the Brotherhood that participated in the Dark Crusade. For his total novae count, Yacks earned 234.694% more than the mean participating member.

In addition, Yacks has earned 2 Shadow Academy degrees, started 17 out of 61 threads on the Dark Summit google group (27.67% of all threads), 95 Clusters of Fire, 6 Clusters of Ice, numerous crescents and Legions of the Scholar, and he assisted in training of Rathus, Carissus, Miranda Goto, Teia Coran, and Nero Inferni to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

For his service as Taldryan’s Aedile during war time, in concert with his perfect Dark Crusade participation rate and his success throughout that participation, and as recognition of the fact that all his work is well known outside of Taldryan – and will stand the test of time - I recommend that Dark Jedi Master Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor be awarded the Emerald Dagger.

DJM Howlader

When writing this rec I just went to go check to see how long Yacks has been AED. I was completely surprised to see that it's only been a little over 5 months since he took the job. It just feels so much longer, but I think a big reason why is that he was already playing a big leadership roll when the current Vendetta was rolled out. He was at the forefront of kicking all our sorry asses into getting active once more. Look at how well Taldryan fared over the course of the year. Look at how far the House has come. Had one or two small things swung our way, we may have even won the entire competition, while also rebuilding much of our foundation in the process. Yacks is a massive part of it, and Taldryan truly could not have come this far without him. What Tal was at the beginning of the year and what it is today is almost night and day. We are stronger in all areas, and many of its members are once more an active part of the club. This is a direct results of Yacks getting us back on our feet. He is tireless in his efforts, keeping us constantly informed of everything that's happening (Weekly Reports!) as well as leading from the front (Did all the things!). Taldryan would not be what it is today without him, and we all owe him a great debt of gratitude for what he's done for us.

DP Halcyon Rokir Taldrya

Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor's dedication is beyond comparable to any member in this generation of Taldryan. With all of his skills and works done in this club, Keirdagh has shown his strength as one of the best, most dedicated, most structured members the Dark Jedi Brotherhood has seen.

As a majority of the members who know "Yacks" can attest, his abilities do not stand alone with Taldryan. Offering his skills as the Right Hand of Justice alone, Keirdagh has proved his discretion as a solid member of the Dark Summit and a viable resource that is not easily replaced.

Keridagh's strength in Taldryan is unprecedented. For the past 5 months Keridagh has put a breath of fresh air into Taldryan completely re-organized the view of what an Aedile in House Taldryan should be. This grand image of a member releases weekly reports, each report being full and complete with news from the Star Wars community, to Brotherhood news, to nes of what is going on in Taldryan. His reports set a standard for other unit leaders, as a great deal of members outside of Keirdagh's house read his reports and benefit from the information found in them... again, these reports are done on a weekly basis, every Wednesday. And for the past 5 months he has not been late on a single report.

The work of an Aedile is often overlooked or under appreciated. In Keirdagh's case, this is true. The countless time he put into the year-long event known as the Dark Crusades to make sure that his unit came out on top was no small feat, and were it not for this member, Taldryan would not have placed 3rd overall in the Brotherhood, coming just behind of Clan Arcona and House Plageuis.

The countless emails, updates and pushes that Yacks initiated to the members of Taldryan gave the right "push" that was needed to overcome the many odds and obstacles in the Dark Crusade. Exceptional is scarcely a word that can be used for any member in this club, but I find it completely fitting for Keirdagh and the works that he has performed in Taldryan.

In this Dark Crusade alone he has managed to lead at the forefront of battle, earning 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze Nova throughout the course of the Brotherhood. He was also awarded a Grand Cross of the Dark Side, a Steel Cross and a Dark Cross, along with countless Clusters of Fire and a Pendant of Blood. Leading by example is one thing, but passing on his knowledge to other members so that they might also indulge in the victories of war is another. Keirdagh embodies the role of Aedile and goes beyond what is expected in a position like the one he holds.

Having served as an Aedile myself multiple times, I know the strain that is put on the shoulders of the one who holds the position. This strain that I speak of seems to be completely ineffective on Keirdagh. Never running out of steam, never settling for less, never backing away from the quality that is expected from himself and other members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Keirdagh Taldrya is an exceptional member who deserves a just reward.

As the criteria for an Emerald Dagger insists, a member have shown themselves to truly bring something new to their given position. However, their actions are not to be solely consigned to their specific House or Clan, but instead, must show that they have had an impact outside of their respective work.. In this case, Keirdagh embodies the position that he fills, and the Brotherhood is a better place because of it. Taldryan alone is a friendlier, more welcoming place that opens it's arms to innovation and success.

Thank you for your service and dedication to us, Yacks. Enjoy your Sacramental Award. It is well deserved, and you have earned it.

  • Shaz'air Taldrya, Quaestor Emeritus of House Taldrya

Throughout his time with Taldryan, and particularly in his current capacity as Aedile, Keridagh Taldrya Cantor has provided incredible spirit and leadership to both the members of Taldryan and the Dark Brotherhood at a whole. Even during one of the more stagnant eras of Dark Brotherhood leadership, Keridagh continues to innovate and inspire those around him. For example, Keridagh has completed 25 weekly reports since assuming the position of Aedile. 25! That's an enormous amount, outshadowing all of the Dark Council! The best part is that they're all killer, no filler reports. He actually communicates things we need to know. I personally found his leadership and motivation during the recent Dark Crusades to be a driving factor in the awesomeness of Taldryan. Whenever necessary, Keridagh would provide notice of when events commenced and concluded, answer questions, and remind me which planet we were attacking (Seriously. Too many choices). Even during all of that, he still found time to complete every single event of the Dark Crusade. Let's take a moment to reflect on that. Even the events that he wasn't necessarily top notch at (Being a Taldrya does afford one with a healthy amount of natural Awesomeness, but let's face it, we do have strengths and weaknesses), he still toughed out. His perseverance and dedication should be an inspiration to the Dark Council. Clan Taldryan is richer for having Keridagh Taldrya Cantor included within our ranks. Wait. We're still doing that retarded Clouse thing? Fine. House Taldryan.

Congratulations, Yacks. thrust - Shadow

At the end of days, when the Dark Brotherhood is no more and I move on with my life in another direction, I will have stick with me the memory of certain people. People that have had a distinct impact on me and the Brotherhood, that have caused me to grow and prosper as a leader in this club-they are the ones I will remember. One such person is Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor, my friend, Yacko. This is a person that defines what a leader should be in this club. He is dynamic, personable, committed, and reliable. He works harder than anyone else to achieve his goals. He has a vision that he pushes to execute. Yacko is one of the finest leaders I have ever met; he surpasses me in those general qualities and has displayed those qualities over his time as Aedile of Taldryan.

In their recommendations, my peers will focus on the success that Yacko has driven in Taldryan. There is no denying that Taldryan is worlds better because of the leadership of my friend Yacko. He and Rian have moved worlds to bring Taldryan back from the brink--back from despair--into a once-again successful unit. His vision for the future is even grander, and I am sure he will accomplish it.

What has not been said enough is the contributions of Yacko to the greater DB, which is always my first focus and is the reason Yacko deserves a high award. There have been numerous contributions by our Aedile to the greater good over the past year. In early 2013, Yacko assisted me in the development of the Covenant Retcon proposal. That proposal was key in bringing the text of the Dark Covenant current to match the policies that had been implemented over the years. Yacko and I had numerous discussions over the proposal, he reviewed drafts for me, and suggested great changes. That proposal was adopted unanimously by the Dark Council. We are working on further amendments as well.

Yacko then took it upon himself to work on the Fleet Points system when it was clear that the Council needed assistance. He updated and brought current the excel sheets that tracked the Fleet Points, which was no small amount of work given that they hadn't been updated in years.

Yacko has been an asset to the Chamber of Justice, serving as an advisor to the Justicar and now serving as Right Hand of Justice. During the past year, the Chamber of Justice has had numerous contentious trials. It has been a huge burden on the Justicar to handle these matters alone, and Yacko has assisted in every way possible, from helping with procedural issues, reviewing certain arguments and charges, and generally assisting in the processes. He has also worked with Taigikori on potential amendments to the trial procedures to alleviate some issues that have arisen in the past few trials.

Our Aedile has also been instrumental in the development of the Character Sheets and the ACC. The initial concept for the new FATE-based character sheets was drawn up by Shadow with the assistance of many members of Taldryan, mainly Yacko. Shadow would put ideas to people like Yacko, and often Yacko was one of the few that provided good constructive feedback and new ideas. When Mav took over Combat Master, Yacko didn't stop. He has been working along side Mav as an advisor, assisting with the development of our new systems.

The CS/ACC was not the only system that Yacko has had an impact on. Throughout the year, Yacko has made significant contributions to gaming. He has worked with the Fist to make certain required changes to the RoCs. He has helped the Dark Council clarify and solidify gaming rules during the Crusade. He has also been at the forefront of gaming news; he is often hours ahead of anyone in pushing forth announcements of upcoming titles, issues related to the LucasArts closure and Disney merger, and other important gaming aspects.

On the Dark Summit list and beyond, Yacko has consistently been one of the few idea men that can reach beyond the squabbles to interject sound and reasonable solutions. For instance, when AWOL checks became a point of contention, Yacko proposed to the Dark Summit list an automated AWOL system which has eventually been implemented. When the discussion of recruitment came to be, Yacko submitted his expertise as a web marketer to push the discussion to the right direction. In fact, Yacko was a part of a small team from Taldryan that in one night developed a comprehensive recruitment proposal for the Grand Master which in part led to the creation of the Recruitment Tribune Position. Recently, when there was an argument over the secrecy of the SA society, Yacko proposed the solution that was implemented to resolve the arguing between regular members and the Dark Council.

Yacko has also stood up for the regular member throughout his term, and not just Taldryan members. When there was an issue related to disqualifications of certain graphic submission in the Crusade, Yacko led the fight for all members of the DB to be fairly treated and have their submissions counted. At other times throughout the year, he has ensured that members--not just of Taldryan--are treated as they should be; Yacko is one of the few leaders that will stand up for what is right.

Yacko has also served as a role model for leaders across the DB. Over the last decade, I do not recall any other leader that has been as consistent in writing and releasing reports as Yacko...every Wednesday, never missed. There have been times when the only thing on the news page has been a report by Yacko and new updates from Yacko related to big Star Wars events. Yacko is also keyed into his most basic responsibilities. He was, for instance, recently set up by our Grand Master as a role model to follow in relation to welcoming new members to the unit.

Finally, Yacko has made significant contributions to testing of and reporting issues related to the new website. he has made recommended changes that have been implemented and has been quick to communicate with the SCL about potential issues.

There are times that my friend can be brash. But when you clear off the rough edges of this man, there is a diamond beneath.

It is my distinct pleasure to recommend that Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor be awarded an Emerald Dagger. The Emerald Dagger was created to award the exact types of services to the House and to the DB as a whole that Yacko has provided. Awarding Yacko an Emerald Dagger is a testament that even an Aedile can push his unit and the greater DB towards something better, that you don't need to be on the DC to assist the DB as a whole. Keirdagh deserves this award, and I look forward to hearing of its approval.

Truly, Jac Cotelin

While I can’t speak for what Yacks has done inside of Taldryan I can say a few words about his actions outside his unit. First of all there are his weekly reports which are being read and found useful by members from all units, not just Taldryan, in that capacity he sets a shining example of what a leader in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood should be.

But more than that, a few months ago when there was a break between the fifth and the final chapter of the Crusade Yacks came to me to ask if Naga Sadow was willing to do a feud with Taldryan to keep members of both units on their toes for the final Crusade chapter. Almost before I’d even had a chance to say yes he had written the plot fiction and come up with the competitions for the feud, in short he did all the work for it, even lining up impartial judges from the Dark Council for the events.

Malik Sadow, Consul of Naga Sadow

It may come as a surprise but I have actually encountered Yacks in a professional capacity. Back when I was rewriting the Dark Core exams, I used his knowledge of the past leaders to create those segments of the coursenotes. I don't think you've been properly thanked for that my friend. Your willingness to just grab a seat and join the process truly aided in the re-creation of these courses.

Ood, P:HM

After the landslide of awesome written by Yack's fellow Taldyrans and others from around the Brotherhood I feel there is hardly anything more that I can add which wouldn't be simply restating the obvious from their recommendations. Keirdagh has been at the forefront of moving Taldyra forward, he has never (and I suspect likely will never) cease to continue to push the Brotherhood as a whole to find bigger and better things for its future. Thank you for your contributions Yacks, and congratulations on your Emerald Dagger!

Along with processing requests with incredible speed for some time now, and being the driving force behind the Promotion Guidelines revamp, Howlader took the initiative to begin correcting the dossier history for members where the site's data was incomplete or inaccurate. This ongoing project was absolutely necessary to get started, with some big projects coming up that will diretly rely on this data.

So for his service to the MAA Office with particular note to this work in handling corrections to dossier histories, and with the blessing of the Grand Master, I am pleased to award him with an Emerald Dagger.

I remember seeing James show up a few months back after a long absence. He was once an integral part of the coding staff in this club, with many of our current systems having been molded by his hands. I was thinking that it would be great if he were to jump back in and start helping us out once more...thankfully he did just that (and how). His efforts have been astounding. He has helped do some general maintenance to the DB site, helping stabilize some of the wonkier (technical term) aspects. However, it is the "new" work he's done that has truly blown my mind. He first introduced a new Master-Student option to our dossiers, further cementing the Master/Student Programs of the various Houses and Clans. Next, he completely overhauled the competitions system so that both the front and back-ends work so much better. It even does all of the work of rec'ing the medals for you! It hasn't been officially released yet, but he has worked on an activity tracking system that will really help everyone keep track of their activities and ensuring no one gets forgotten in terms of rewards and promotions. Last, it is his efforts that have allowed us to now have an automated system for doing AWOL checks, which has been a great boon to everyone in the club. These are 4 projects that have directly benefited everyone in this club, and his efforts are more than deserving of this award. Congratulations and thank you!

DJM Halcyon Taldrya Deputy Grand Master

Jam3z was one of the heavy coders in this club when I joined. There's prize few things that are on this site that he didn't have a hand in putting there, or otherwise know about. And when he retired, back when Jac was still GM, we all made a collective frowny face. Sure, we have had some great coders since then (and Orv is the man), but losing someone with that level of skill and understanding about how our site works is always a blow. Many people underestimate the role that coding takes on our site, because if their work is done right, nobody complains. It's a constant fight with the site to keep the Brotherhood moving. There's scriptkiddies lurking around the corner, and so many bits of functionality that can trash the whole kit and kaboodle because it hasn't been updated in a few years. Orv has been working his tail off just keeping us afloat and using the odd minute free to put in work on expansions. And then James came back. I really didn't expect him to do a whole heck of a lot, to be fair. Most dudes post-retirement will just stick their head in, chat a bit, maybe play a game or two, then vanish back into the Real World. And I didn't want to get excited at the thought of having another coder back around prematurely. I am glad to say that I was very wrong. Since his return, James has dove in and fixed problems as well as worked to expand things for us. In a time when every man-hour helps us drastically, James came to the rescue with time and energy, working on stuff liek the Master-Student functionality ont he site, Awol automation, and an activity tracker that is in beta testing right now. That's a whole lot of work for a retired guy to show up and do in short order. And I wanted to properly express our appreciation for his work quickly (and to encourage him to keep at it, because we need him around). As a token of our esteem, I hereby award James Entar an Emerald Dagger. Thank you very much. ~Muz Ashen, Dark lord of the Sith

Shikyo has been an excellent Herald. His design of new robes and saber images for the membership is commendable. He has served as Herald for a very long time, since Muz stepped down from the position. Shikyo has his hand in many areas of service inside the Brotherhood, including acting as a Dark Council advisor for Clan Naga Sadow for a time. His door is always open, and he does his best to help those who seek his counsel. The Brotherhood is a better place for all the work he has done over the years. many members have his unique images on thier dossiers. The Herald's staff also is well-trained and very helpful under his guidance. His Herald-style Hannukah images are an especially nice addition to the options members have to make their characters more unique. Shikyo is deserving of serious commendation. ~Macron Goura Sadow, Consul of Clan Naga Sadow

Shikyo has turned out countless sabers and warbanners upon request. Not only that, but he keeps adding those available for general selection every year as well, with the Herald Style Hanukah. Also, behind the scenes, he has been working on the mugshot selector, something that will be released when it is all done. I am not one for many words. I prefer to do things. So, to keep it short: I do think that Shikyo deserves this. congrats! ~Korras, Master at Arms

Shikyo Keibatsu has done a great many things for the DB. I've had the pleasure of watching his talent grow as Herald. His contributions of graphics for the DB has been numerous. He has also been a great mentor to many of our members. He is a true asset to this club and I am proud to recommend him for this sacramental award. Congratulations, Shik! ~Ashia Keibatsu, Aedile, House Taldryan

The Herald is charged with making graphics for the DB. Much of the work done is of professional-grade level, where you would be paying in large numbers for the work that is produced by someone like Shikyo. He has been consistent in the quality and quantity of his work, with the last HSH being a perfect example of it. Everyone in the DB was extremely pleased with the offerings this year. So even though he was overseas, he still managed to send those daily posts out to us. Since last he was rewarded Shikyo has made numerous lightsabers, warbanners and even other robes. He has ensured that the quality we have grown used to from the Herald office hasn't slipped. Since he's been Herald for so long, it becomes easy to take for granted just how much work and effort is involved in keeping up the same level of quality. It is a testament to his ability and drive that things haven't slipped. Congratulations, and keep up the fantastic work! ~Halcyon Taldrya, Sith Lord

Shikyo is a name that almost everyone in the Brotherhood is familiar with. His work in the Herald's office has been nothing short of outstanding. He has put forth hundreds, if not thousands of graphics for public consumption, working to make the Brotherhood a more appealing and immersive place to be. This is incredibly important work considering that we are competing with a multi-million dollar video game for member attentions. Above and beyond that, he has done a lot of this work while deployed, in the middle of the ocean on a warship. Yet, Shikyo is not an one trick pony. He has constantly and consistently come to me, seeking to do more for the club, trying to expand what we already have in more than just graphical ways. He has been a surrogate for me, and has been sent to units that need his unique wisdom and experience to grow beyond what they struggle with. When I noticed that Shikyo's dossier was pretty bare, despite his high rank, I sought immediately to make reparations. He deserves that much, considering all that he has done for us. To wit, I am pleased to present Shikyo Keibatsu, Herald of the Brotherhood and my brother, with an emerald dagger as a token of our esteem. Congratulations, keep up the great work, and I look forward to awarding you further. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith.

Below are reccomendations from Dash' clan, for an Amethyst Kukri. However, I do not believe an AK is warranted here. So, instead, he will be awarded an Emerald Dagger.

Why? He has been my Praetor for a good year now. Without him, the MAA office wouldn't be working as fast as it does now. Also, he has been a sounding board for all that time, and isn't afraid to tell me when something is stupid.

Beyond that, as noted below, Arcona wouldn't be where they are now, if it weren't for him. So, all in all, I believe an ED is more warranted then an AK.

~Korras, Master at Arms.

Dash is the bedrock upon which Arcona sits. He is a constant presence; always helpful, always willing, always approachable. He has been fundamental to Arcona’s success over the past two years and his dedication is beyond comprehension. During my travels along the metaphorical road of leadership within Arcona, Dash has persistently been a safety net upon which any leader or member could fall. His presence is awe-inspiring and his work-rate is comparable. He acts by a sense of duty not only ingrained in Arcona but to the Dark Brotherhood as a whole.

Over the past year Dash has never ceased to amaze and astonish. His ability has blanketed every known realm of the Dark Brotherhoods formats. It is first necessary to establish the specific roles his has fulfilled since his promotion to Dark Adept to really analyse the extent of his work.

In November last year, Dash was one of a handful of members who offered to help with a small wiki project I was undertaking, which pertained to the development of the fictional role of the military in the Arconan rank and file. This was set to be a weeklong job, but it became a marathon as opposed to the initially proposed sprint. As a result, it was left to Dash and myself (mainly Dash) to orchestrate and establish a fantastic team capable of fulfilling the task. Alas, he provided, enabling Arcona in its entirety to subscribe to this new system. Although this system has since died (due to the wiki crash) it has still passed the test of time, with requests and questions regarding its return. It is a clear testament to his skill and his dedication to the Clan, but it is only one of many things he has accomplished in this short time period.

Another example of Dash’s metaphorical flexing came into play was meeting the criteria necessary for Arcona being reinstated as a Clan. Dash was one of the instrumental editors of the project, contributing reams of pages whilst constantly proof-reading and editing as drafts and redrafts flooded his inbox. He was, without a doubt, integral to Arcona’s reclanning; without his efforts it wouldn’t have been possible. By the same token, his activities after the reclanning process were exceptional. He was part of a small board in charge of the election of new Summit members and it was Dash alone who took it upon himself to train and develop said members, sculpting them into a GJW-winning team, capable of any task set by the upper summit. He was able to aid the Summit during times of absence on the part of myself as Proconsul and the Consul, Zandro, stepping up to become a de-facto clan leader with only the clan’s welfare in mind and without any want for reward.

It was in the Great Jedi War that Dash was at his finest, however. Dash only participated in nine events, he still acquired three silver novae, one gold nova and six clusters of ice. This, however, doesn’t compare to the effort he put into the ACC, participating in a total of fifteen matches over the three-week period the ACC event was open. On its own this is an astonishing feat, however, Dash still picked up the slack in the Summit, acting as yet another de-facto summit member with the absence of Zandro. He was always present and always willing to help. As a result, his contributions were a significant factor in Arcona’s success in the war and without his expertise and leadership ability, Arcona may have not been so successful.

Dash has also been instrumental in the fictional development of Arcona in the past year and a half, contributing significant amounts to the Wikipedia pages, the report fictions and the overarching storyline pertaining to the development of Arcona.

Therein lies his feats as a member of Arcona, however, Dash’s ability extends so much further. He has constantly acted as a loyal Praetor to Korras in his capacity as Praetor to the Master-At-Arms, aiding in the development of the office, whilst still juggling his role in Arcona. This, I’m sure will be/has been covered in more detail by Korras, however it is a clear example of the extent of his capabilities and talents.

In the view of all of his compatriots, Dash has more than fulfilled the criteria of doing something beyond what is expected of them and acting to the benefit of their clan or elsewhere. He has done much more than that; he has established himself as one of the leading figures of Arcona and the Dark Brotherhood in general. Juggling his capacity as Arconae, as a de-facto summit leader whilst still maintaining a frankly inhuman level of activity is more than anyone could expect even the most involved members of the DB.

It is for this reason, along with the reasons outlined below/above, that I would like to recommend Dash for an Amethyst Kukri.

Congratulations Jon, you’ve earned it.

~Wuntila Zratian Entar, Consul of Clan Arcona.

Where to start with Dash, he's been one of the instrumental persons in Arcona, both for me personally, back in the day when I was a mere BTL, all the way to when I was Consul. He's always there for anyone, and needless to say, what he does, he does it well.

He's been a major part of nearly, if not everything, that happened within Arcona, and to this day still keeps in close contact with the entire Clan and both house summits. Aiding, guiding, helping, call it what you want, but he's a driving force in Arcona. I'm not going to say we wouldn't be where we are now without him, but I feel it's worth considering that as a probability.

De-facto summiteer, Arconae, Elder, one of the most respected and well known people both in character and out of character, he achieved it all. That isn't to say that he didn't work his ass off for it. It's all more than deserved.

An Amethyst Kukri, it's a prestigous award, only given to those who really REALLY deserve it, Dash is one of those people. it's not just within Arcona (of which he's an integral part) that he's shown what he's both worth and capable of, but also outside of Arcona, although I'm sure other people can vouch and commend him for work done out of Arcona than I ever could.

All in all, a most deserved reward, which will hopefully even the odds if we're looking at the amount of work this man has put into both Arcona and the DB as a whole.

Bro, thank you for everything you've done, and continue doing. The DB wouldn't be the same without you. Congratulations, you've deserved it.

~Celahir Erinos, Quaestor of House Galeres

I’m not really sure where to begin this Sacramental request because I can’t pinpoint a single area to talk about…in a nutshell, Sashar (henceforth Dash) literally does everything that he’s capable of doing; a twice-former Consul and before that Proconsul and years ago every House Summit position except Rollmaster and currently the Sergeant of Clan Arcona’s fabled Soulfire Strike Team, it’s hard to isolate one area to talk about when I’d be doing the numerous others an injustice by not giving them any mention.

So I’ll write this recommendation with the role(s) that Dash has played in my own Brotherhood career, for I openly admit that if it wasn’t for him, I would have retired or burnt-out a while back. As to not end up writing a novel (this’ll be more of a novelette), I’ll start at the end of my CoJ Probation; while Dash initially ridiculed me for my super stupid move, all of which was well warranted, it was him who came around and helped give me the push I needed to get active and be recognized by the Clan Summit at that time and as a result, be given my first Summit position post-Trial, which was Battleteam Leader.

Due to my BTL spot being in House Qel-Droma while Dash remained (as ever) a fixture in House Galeres, we didn’t have much interaction but without that initial push to get back into the leadership saddle, I would not have progressed from BTL to Qel-Droma’s AED and from there, House Arcona’s first Rollmaster when the De-Clanning came about.

Much more recently however, Dash has literally been my advisor and mentor in the ways of leadership within Clan Arcona, as I was named the Aedile of House Galeres when Arcona was reclanned back in April. When the Quaestor of House Galeres, Celahir Erinos, had to take an extended leave of absence due to real-life issues and it was left to me to lead Galeres in his stead, it was Dash who advised me on how to better interact with members, contributed ideas for House fictional development and identity, told me what areas I was doing good in and what areas I needed to change in.

His upfront no-BS way of talking was nothing short of abrasive at first but as time went on and I realized that Dash not only knew what he was talking about but had successfully done this job before, I grew to appreciate and value each and every word he said (unless it was on mIRC). Therefore, while Celahir and I are the positioned leaders of House Galeres, with our names on the website, make no mistake that without Dash, House Galeres wouldn’t be what it is today and on a much larger scale, Arcona would never have re-earned the label of “Clan” that we all so desperately wanted.

Besides advising me in a leadership capacity, Dash has also been nothing short of a great friend, something that I find humorous as it wasn’t all that long ago that we couldn’t stand one another…I certaintly never would have thought that given time and interaction, I would count Dash as a close friend nor would I ever call myself a member of his Family. To be clear, I am not the only person who has had the privilege of having Dash as a mentor, and I’m sure that while I’m one of the most recent, I won’t be the last. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that Dash has had a big role in developing and training each and every member who currently holds a position on the Summit of Arcona. Compound this with all the work he has done on an individual basis (his stellar ACC record and mad skill in fiction writing) as well all his work in the Master-at-Arms Office as Praetor, there is no-one more deserving of a Sacramental Award than Sashar Erinos, di Tenebrous Arconae (or Teroch Erinos).

-- OP Talos Erinos Aedile, House Galeres

Dash is truly something else. To say that he is a legend is almost an understatement. When it comes to leading by example, he is the first person that comes to mind. When you ask about the best writers in the entire brotherhood, you can't exclude his name. His ability to simply create content is unparalleled - whether it's clan based content, family histories, or military expansions. This all becomes evident when you have the honor of fighting along side him in a war. In the Battleplan, he was on the front lines crafting ideas. In the Wiki events, he was involved with every discussion. He simply has a hand in everything, and that's what truly makes Dash the legend that he is. He doesn't do one thing well. He just does everything well.

On top of that, he still maintains his position as P:MAA, Battleteam Leader, and a mentor to myself and the younger leaders. He has always been there for me and I would not be where I am without him. He is a hero, and a role model of the highest caliber.

~Marick Del'Abbot Quaestor of House Qel-Droma

What can I say about Jon that hasn't already been said? He's a force of nature. He has his hand in everything that happens around him, without trying to control any of it. No matter what the situation, no matter whose responsibility it ultimately is, he shows up whenever you hit a roadblack and blasts through it, without ever seeming to realize it's in his way. I'm sure others will be giving you a variety of examples, but the fact is that Jon does this with every project he approaches. He showed this in the recent war in a hundred small ways few people took the time to notice. From the Battleplan, to event strategies, to handling the inevitable bumps in the road that arose, he was always there. This special quality he brings to everything he does is the "work [that] reaches levels of exceptional value..." In my experience with Jon, this is what he does best - solve problems through a keen intellect and sheer force of will. Were it not for him, I have little doubt that a great deal of Arcona's recent accomplishments would have proven impossible.

~Invictus Aedile of House Qel-Droma
