September 13 2004, Alaric is Combat Master of the ACC, I am Senior Operator... and DA Corran Halcyon "Halc" Arconae is hired as Alaric's Praetor. Halc needs no intoduction, most are aware of his history in the DB. He clearly takes what is given to him and, despite the CM's frequent absences, Halc remains dedicated and the "picture" of loyalty. Fast forward...

{>>}

January 29 2004, I come on as CM and face the first wave of staff 'adjustments', starting with the P:CM, Halcyon. I ask him straight out if he "wants' to stay on... he says "yes" and we're off!

Pages and pages of ACC Compendium sift through our fingers on the first grand-scope overhaul since Cyris was CM. Halcyon is key to my sanity, proof reading most of the major changes and even free-handing an ENTIRE pilot's den compendium, complete with a craft database nad 'flight terms for dummies'. Being the "true" Krath that I am, there was no way I could've pulled that off. We move through the CS's, hundreds of them, until the release of EP 3... holy crap! Judge stat numbers skyrocket and even as P:CM, Halcyon takes a HUGE brunt of the workload off my shoulders (mind you, he is STILL a pivotal part of Arcona's official body). His stats jump into the thousands with training battles, qualification battles, character sheets and battle judgements... it was quite an insane time. The ACC MVP award (StA) is instituted on a monthy basis for the ACC staff, Halc takes it 4 times (at the writing of this information) - being noted as the ACC's most active staff member - Yes, he's still a major player in Arcona as well. Riddled with Clan duties, rebirth items and remaining active in his own right, Halcyon STILL maintains the highest caliber of performance on the ACC staff.

{stop}

Just a brief glimpse at his time to present on the ACc staff. He has become someone I can truly count on when there's no one else. My job (no matter how much I'd like it to be :P) could EVER be a one person job if it's to be done right, and I am happy - rather - estatic to have someone like Halcyon in my corner. We disagree very little as far as ACC operations go, so there is virtually nothing I need to guess with him about. He respects my position and the pains that come with it, and he backs me publically - though he may have a different opinion - which is the true sign of someone who has loyalty, honor and dedication to the whole. He has gone for a long time on the ACC staff without significant recognition. Sure, he takes the MVP quite often, but I hardly think that is enough.

Awards like the Emerald Dagger [ED] cater to those who "...over a substantial period of time, contributed to the growth and functionality of their Order or the Brotherhood..." which, in his capacity as Praetor to the Combat Master, he has easily fulfilled ten fold. From GJW's to RoS's to Vendettas to Clan or House competitions, the ACC provides the Brotherhood with a platform unlike anything else in the club. Prateors like Halcyon, and in fact Halcyon himself, ensure that the essence of the ACC remains focused on the Brotherhood by their dedication and skill.

We throw words like 'dedication' around a lot, especially in awards packages, but it has a clear meaning in the ACC. Dedication is writing through a battle with an Initiate, knowing-from the first post-that they are not going to be qualified, but finishing it because it's the right thing to do. Dedication is doing your damndest to 'explain' to an Initiate what they are doing wrong, in the training battle, in a way that they can understand. Dedication is reading through a 900-word per post battle of complete SH*T and trying to pick a winner when the battle should just be deleted. Dedication is sitting on IRC for 3 or 4 straight hours "just in case" an ACCLive! match needs a judge. Dedication is giving clear and honest answers to the same questions that are asked every week. Dedication is attempting to explain to an ACO why they can't have Form VII or dual lightsabres on their Character Sheet, or why they can't use Force Lightning in a battle. Finally, Dedication is TELLING the CM when he's not going the right way with a policy, when he seems to be losing focus and when he's being a prick - THAT'S Dedication - Halcyon IS dedication!

DA Dalthid

Hail, Grand Master and Deputy of the Brotherhood.

I am Denath Ciarus, though am better known as D'hak. I have served under Halcyon as a Quaestor for quite a few months now, and I feel I should recommend a medal of worth for my Consul, Halcyon. I had planned on doing this at the end of the month, but with the recent news of his resignation I shall do this now.

I wish to nominate my Consul for an Amethyst Kukri or a Sapphire Blade.

Halcyon was appointed Consul in April, following the disappearance of Lan. He brought constant energy and enthusiasm into the Clan Summit, which is something that all previous Summits of the past year have lacked. He has dilligently attended to his duties, constantly striving towards the betterment of Arcona. He has made many decisions and provided support in every front that I have seen and heard of in recent times, and he is always there to help out the Clan.

He is the first Consul to take an active interest in restoring the history of our Clan, and save for a few minor corrections I should send he has achieved this. He has served on the Clan and House Summit levels more times than anyone, and has always carried this energy and commitment to each position. Such devotion and energy is almost unequalled. I have served under every Consul, and only Nighthawk and Mejas have devoted more of themselves to the Clan.

Halcyon has a very impressive and very long history of being a quality member. He has constantly performed excellently in everything he can get his games into. Most memorable was one of the last GJWs before the Split, when he dusted off TIE Fighter (by then, a defunct platform) and not only kicked major ass for the Clan, but even inspired other Sith pilots to do the same. He has served Arcona for many years without pause or failure, and is without doubt our greatest Sith warrior.

Halcyon is also the Clan Envoy of Arcona and the Praetor to the Combat Master, and to the best of my knowledge he has also performed tremendously in these areas - quite an achievement considering how much he devotes himself to my Clan. However, I ask that you speak with Anshar and Dalthid concerning these positions, as they are the ones who would know best.

I thank you both for your time. My field of expertise is Clan Arconan history, so if there is anything else you need to clarify, wish to know, or need done in Arcona please let me know and I will do what I can to help.

Epis Denath Ciarus Quaestor of Qel-Droma di Tenebrous Arconae

There's not much I can say outside those two recommendations. Halcyon is an outstanding member, and I applaud his every effort to advance the interests of this club. He and I have worked together for a long time, and I have always been impressed.

Congratulations, Halcyon, and thanks.

Greetings,

Today I get a chance to honor a member of the Dark Council who has been a staple of constant service over the years. Trev has been around, working toward the betterment of the DB for a long time. He is constantly looking for ways to improve the club, and always has a unique take on how the club should be advancing.

More recently, Trev has engulfed himself in two projects of vital importance to the DB. The first, re-writing the Dark Side Compendium, will take the Brotherhood to a fictional level that it has never been. Trev has been working on a solid background for the club and is in the process of re-working the Compendium to be our fictional anchor.

The second project has been the Dark Covenant. This Covenant will be a starting point for DB policy and will be an important item in the future of the club. Trev wrote a twenty-page document that encompassed the structure of the entire DB. Despite the fact that we have cut out a lot of the text due to a change in the idea, Trev's imprint is still present on the document. He spent a long time on it and deserves our gratitude for that.

It is my pleasure, then, to award Trev with his very own Emerald Dagger.

Thanks, Trev, for all that you do. Lord Cotelin

Primary reason

Overlord Malik Sadow has been serving as Consul of Clan Naga Sadow for a whole year now, well almost - as March 10th it'll be a year, and in that time has tirelessly strived to improve the clan. I have to admit that he's been overlooked for far too long. His contributions to the clan have greatly improved it and now with his former CON, Xanos Sadow, as his PCON we can but only wait to see how far he can bring the clan. He is an example to the members of the clan as a leader. So, for all of his hard work, for over a substantial period of time contributing to the growth and functionality of CNS - I hereby reccommend that he be awarded an Emerald Dagger.

Signed

His Excellency, Overlord Tron Sadow The Emissary

==

Malik has gone for 9 months without any form of reward, even though he's been Consul for nearly a year now. He has been put up with a lot during that time, but never has been really rewarded for it.

Under his guidance, Clan Naga Sadow turned into the clan that finished second in the Krath Rite of Supremacy. Malik had no small part in that. The Rite of Supremacy is only the conclusion of a long time of hard work, however.

When I was hired as Proconsul, there was a lot of work to do. Before that, I was the only Quaestor left in a clan with three houses, so we had our work layed out for us.

We closed one house, moving those in there into another, since we no longer could sustain three houses. Then, we changed the entire clan to a Multi Order system. Being the first clan in the entire brotherhood to move back to this system, there was no previous knowledge of any hooks and sharp edges. But even though we lost more then one good member, the clan came out stronger.

All this could not have been achieved without Malik giving his quiet lead. He might not appear as a real active leader, but looks are deceiving. He really is active, and working to better the clan. For all his work, I think he deserves this reward finally. Congrats, Malik.

Via Telona: Pyralis has been a driving force of activity for the past year. He has always been there to create things for members who ask and he's taken initiative to make things when people don't ask. He has great motivational skills which he used extensively during the GJW and still continues to use them to spur members to be active. He's more than willing to help new members get the hang of the games and how we submit scores. He's even willing to help old members learn new tricks in the games. He just gives and gives yet for all he's done he has never once asked for anything in return. He gets yelled at, berated, and still he continues to do his best at projects that are given to him. He is truly a great person to have in the clan and in the DB. Even though I don't know what all he's done in the past, I know he'll be there in the future working his butt off and not asking for anything in return. He's a great roll model for the other members of the DB. He deserves much more than a simple thank you.

Via Merlance: I feel that Pyralis is worthy of an Emerald Dagger for a number of reasons. He has long been a valuable member of the Brotherhood, and has demonstrated consistently that he has the ability to lead, he has served faithfully as Headmaster of the Shadow Academy, has been extremely active in the recent Great Jedi War (both in gaming and in compiling data), and has been a tremendous resource overall to his house and clan. Additionally, Pyralis has been a wonderful teacher, indoctrinating me into the ways of the brotherhood, and has shown infinite patience in answering my questions. Also, his insightful ways have made me more skilled in Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast. Overall, I expect Pyralis to continue being a great teacher and friend.

Via Bloodfyre Just wanted to take a moment, and mention something on my mind. I think Pyralis is deserving of some note of recognition for the hard work he put into trying to help get the Order and Clan requirements done for the Powers projects. Where I had started to struggle, P picked it up, and ran with me, carrying me through my hurdles, that he was excited about jumping over. He helped complete it in a timetable that, I believe, fits your desires better, and I have to say, he was a phenominal help through all of it, and came up with a system that I think will be awesome.

Via Jac As he was during and after the split, Dark Side Adept Pyralis has returned to his rightful place in the Brotherhood as a dominating figure. Always willing to contribute to the greater good, Pyralis has made himself indispensable in so many aspects of the Brotherhood. He has joined Clan Tarentum, where during the Vendetta he was a force to be reckoned with, pulling in nine Novae. He further made himself invaluable by constantly driving his counterparts to better performance. Where many people don't get to see Pyralis in action, however, is in his work as Magistrate to the Grand Master. Pyralis has always been a great advisor to Lords Cotelin and Forefox, but since his return to the Brotherhood he has been even more invaluable. Pyralis has a great sense for the future and has been willing to give his take on the most serious matters. He has further helped more than any one person should by compiling data and statistics on Vendetta participation and awards. Pyralis, through his hard work, has saved the Grand Master hours and hours of toil. His actions are appreciated more than he knows. For his service to the greater good, the Grand Master has awarded Pyralis with a Emerald Dagger.

For the past months there have been very few people that have been able to match Kaiann's levels of activity, initiative and helpfulness. Never one to shy away from a task, Kaiann always seems to have the resources needed to take something to the next level. The Independence Games were a prime example of his ingenuity. Kaiann sets the bar high for himself, delivers accordingly and in doing so Spoils the members of the DB. Kaiann has been a great asset to the DGM in recent times, helping with GJW grading under intense deadlines and working in stride with other members to see that everything goes accordingly.

This Dark Council member is ambitious and inventive, a truly unique combination of skills. Kaiann always has a drive about him that lends credence to the idea that he is one of the greatest members this brotherhood has witnessed.

As he is a pillar of the DC today, a hard worker, and good advisor, it is my pleasure now to award to Kaiann Yetaru Entar an Emerald Dagger.
