Celahir has spent a bit longer than most on this award. I am honoured to be able to write a supporting recommendation for his first Amethyst Kukri.

From the day I first encountered him, Celahir has been impressive. An impish sense of humour, a truly magnificent amount of kindness wrapped up in an earnest and active personality. He’s held positions in every single level of Clan leadership and has also served with distinction on the FIST, SA and SCL staff. As Consul of Arcona, he continued the movement towards modernising the clan into what it is today.

I could write an entire epistle about everything he’s done and still not cover everything. I will however keep this brief. Celahir’s strong presence, peaceful nature and dedication to others which coloured his entire DB career has yet to diminish. Even now that he’s stepped away from the truly monstrous levels of activity he was once known for, he’s still always lingering on Discord. Ready to help when asked or when noticing a need.

Irfan, at some point in the past, you were described as the bridge between the old and the new Arcona. Know this, my friend: Without you, Arcona would not be what it is today. You officially count as one of the old guard now. And still, you’re always around to be of assistance and to bridge that divide. Enjoy this purplish pink dagger!

While I didn't have the pleasure of keeping them long, Lontra was an Odanite, beyond simply belonging to the Clan, they were a source of activity, always scanning the competition board, and ready to take on whatever came down the pipeline. Seeing Lontra's name pop up in competition after competition consistently brought a smile to my face, and I hope that the Voidbreaker Crew and the rest of Arcona enjoy the same now.

Keep up the good work Lontra, your enthusiasm for the things you get into is infectious. Even when you didn't speak up about the competitions you had joined and just chased them, you brought others into them after you. A prime example of "leading by example" in that if we do a thing, others will join us.

Lontra joined Arcona not too long ago and I am very excited to have them be part of the Qel-Droma (Voidbreaker) family! I was very enthusiastic that Lontra jumped in quickly and interacted with us as if they had always been there! Not only that, they had no problem to adapting to it's waters (Heehee, Lontra = Otter, waters get it...? Sorry) with us and I believe fit in with us very well. I look forward to more surprises and exciting interactions you bring.

Congratulations on your Amethyst Kukri!!!

It seems as though Strask Rurra'bek’s name has come across the Summit’s desk a time or two here recently. That my friends is AWESOME!!!! Strask has just been a tsunami of activity and it does not look like this storm is willing to subside anytime soon. He is just nonstop, this CNS’er is as solid as they come and we are completely stoked to have him in the Clan!

Since March of this year Strask has maintained an impressive routine of activity. This guy can just flat out game. If there was an award for “Pro-Gamer”, he definitely would be claiming that accolade. He has participated in 173 comps, garnering five Society promotions between the GMRG and Shroud Syndicate. Strask has also added to his trophy case 121 Crescents, a whopping 1105 Clusters and finally one Seal of Loyalty.

Strask is always the first to jump in with other members regardless of skill set. His ability to get folks acclimated inside a gaming title is uncanny. A leadership trait will continue to attract more folks into the gaming arena. Without further adieu, Battlelord Strask Rurra'bek has reached the required 11533 Medal XP to earn his first Amethyst Kukri. I am honored to be a part of another first in your path within the Club. Congratulations on this prestigious sacramental award!

It seems that I've been writing a lot about Strask lately.

The guy is all but omnipresent in Helldivers, and constantly helping new folks get acquainted with that game, as well as the club in general. He's helped bring up several logistic points to make our lives easier in CNS for our ongoing Black Guard competitions, and he's engaged in lengthy conversations with me about potential ideas in the clan whilst we were wreaking havoc in the game. Above and beyond that, he is remarkably protective of other gamers who are trying to participate, encouraging them to look past sour reviews and those who are too caught up in 'chasing the meta' to remember to have fun. It's those kinds of friendships that keep members coming back for more, and for that, I personally am super pleased he's around. He's hellaciously active, a pleasure to game alongside, and all-around a good egg. Congratulations on earning the purple stabby, Strask. Thanks for all you do!

The Amethyst Kukri was originally meant to reward exceptional dedication towards improving your unit or the club as a whole. Recipients had shown their dedication and focus on furthering a specific aspect of the Brotherhood far beyond what was expected of them.

These days, the Amethyst Kukri is awarded to those who have earned a large amount of XP through activity as well as dedicated service to their unit and/or club.

Under both of these definitions and systems, I would be writing a recommendation to award this medal to Zosi’val’ria. Her work to revitalize the Galerean and Arconan DBWiki presence, her dedication to support the members of the House she is leading, her massively impressive social presence on Discord, her desire to deliver anything she works on to an exceptional level of quality would merit the Amethyst Kukri being given out. Add onto that the extremely impressive amount of activity she partakes in and I think I don’t need to explain further why I am writing this supporting recommendation.

Siv, enjoy your first Amethyst Kukri. You’re now no longer on the medal rails either, congratulations on moving beyond that system! Try not to use the big pink stabby item to carve your name into Ood’s bark ok?

Congratulations, Zosi’val’ria! Not for the fact that when I read Miss Siv’s name I do so in the tune of ‘Beata Maria’ in Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Damn, and it brings the nostalgia back in full force of one of my favorite movies. No, congratulations for your hard work and commitment to this club earning you an Amethyst Kukri! Dominating out here in graphic comps, collaborating and weaving stories in roleplays and fictions, gaming with peers. And on top of all that, being a solid mantle of a leader within not only Galeres but Arcona as well. Checking on and hearing out your members, providing engaging competitions and questions, ensuring they receive and understand changes in clan and brotherhood. You are a beacon of guidance, support, and community. When faced with a challenge, you are unafraid to roll up your sleeves and hop into the thick of information, to ask questions and seek advice. Resourceful is the word I’m looking for.

So congratulations, Siv, on your Amethyst Kukri. Please explain to Ood when you converse about carving initials that a pinkish amethyst is a ‘raspberry’ and you are most definitely ‘The Blueberry.’ <3

When I first returned to Odan-Urr things took... acclimation, for lack of better phrasing. I had spent 9 months in Arcona, preparing for and in the aftermath of War, in a sea of voices where often I would find myself lost in discussions if I looked away from my screen for more than a few moments. My first few weeks back home in COU were quiet, comparatively, but one of the first members to reach out to me personally and who has been a regular in my daily conversations has been Yuki. Whether it's making time to answer questions, reaching out to check about what's going on, general banter, or just a daily vibe check, he's been quick to make a joke, report back the situations around The Clan, or just showcase something new going down.

As a long-term member of The Brotherhood, with 24 years under his belt and a forward-thinking mentality, Yuki quickly became an advisor for me, and when we reformed the Knights of Allusis battle team, his experience with people and his forward outlook were defining elements in the decision for me.

In the time since then, as he's been a member of our Summit, Yuki has helped develop some of the new projects we've been slowly working into existence, served time and again to remind me to get my various projects out on time, and on a handful of occasions shouldered the burden of things I did not have the mindfulness at the time to handle, and helped our Proving Grounds BTL with the gaggle of new recruits COU has had, bringing them in line and working with them, at their pace, and helping them find their way in The Brotherhood a step at a time.

Drinks on you, tonight, Jack. Ever Onwards!

There's a lot to say about Jack, some of which definitely isn't general public appropriate. While he might come off as the grumpy old man, he really does care about the member of COU and will actively go out of his way to help members if they need it. While he isn't, on paper, the most active of members he's always around in the discord talking in the channel. Before coming back to COU, I was close to just quitting the DB again as a whole and he was one of the main people to keep me here. I'm not the best at writing recommendations, but I had to chime in for Jack because this award is honestly a long time coming and he's a solid rock for the clan.

Ryuu Suoh, or as most of us know him, Nero, has been a part of my Brotherhood experience since the beginning, casually dragging me from another community to The Brotherhood into Clan Odan-Urr seven years ago, telling me about a good fiction writing community and gaming haven, failing to tell me about the (at the time) lack of standardized Roleplay (despite bringing me from a roleplay community) and throwing me into the maw of the Gaming Centric COU, where I was handily beaten in Jedi Academy by Blade, every available weekend until life pulled me from The Brotherhood.

Over the next few years, Nero would occasionally reach out to me and try and bring me back to the Brotherhood, occasionally I would pop in, and check the community out for a few weeks without rejoining a Clan because nowhere felt as homey as before. When I did finally alight, Nero was the one who set my feet on the ground and reintroduced me to The Brotherhood at large again, helped me regain my bearings, and got me settled with our friends back in Arcona.

Now, a year and a half later, he serves as our Magistrate in charge of COU's Gaming run, full circle with the ultimate reason he brought me to COU nearly a decade ago, bring friends, game with friends, get more people in the Clan Gaming. Something he has been proficient at.

Since he came to us as Magistrate he spun up competition after competition, following gaming trends, and keeping our boards loaded with activities for our members to partake of. The response was nearly immediate, faces we hadn't seen in some time began to stir, others began to add gaming to their regular activity log the program established has been widely successful.

Nero has proven to us that if you provide activities, members will join them, and routinely performed outreach within the Clan to stir those who had been quiet, to make sure they knew that the activities were there.

You've definitely earned this, Ever Onwards, Nero!

Adept Malisane Sadow is one of our pillars within the Clan. When you speak of House Shar Dakhan, Malisane will always be a topic of that conversation. Although he has taken a well deserved reprieve from Summit duties, he still serves as a mentor to the current Quaestor. If one wants to know about expanding House territories, Malisane is your world building subject matter expert.

SInce his last recognition Malisane has bagged two hundred forty seven comps, twenty eight crescents, fifty four Crescents, thirteen Seals of Ascension and fourteen Seals of Transcendence.

Adept Malisane Sadow, you have reached the required Medal XP to earn your very first Amethyst Kukri. It is with great pleasure to be a part of this award and I am sure it will not be your last! Congrats Sir!!

Malisane has been a quiet pillar in the Clan for years at this point. He's not the type to draw attention to his accomplishments, but he has been grinding away at activities for as long as I can remember. Always coming out to support events, be it clan or club-wide, he's there to help encourage members and leaders alike to do more.

Malisane is also invaluable as an advisor, a sounding board for new ideas and concepts, and a steady hand to help new leaders keep at what can sometimes be an opaque and challenging role. All around, we are quite lucky to have Malisane as a pillar here in Clan Naga Sadow, and I am more than grateful to be able to add my words to his most recent (and third) Sapphire Blade.
