Ronovi has been the Consul of Plagueis for the past 11 months, as well as working as a member of the wiki staff. During that time she has participated in 87 competitions and written thousands of words of fiction.
To start she came in with a plan, and worked with the members of the Clan to shake things up and do some restructuring. Taking forward a full proposal to the GM/DGM and communicating the process until it was resolved and ready to implement. She also ran a 22 event Code:Dread competition following GJW XIII, that divided up teams and provided great opportunities to the Clan to engage and advance the story. She then helped run the 7 event long Halloween party event for the entire membership, along with a Clan focused 7 event competition as well. Then a 7 event Holiday themed competition for the entire membership. As the new year started, she ran a 16 event Clan feud with Vizsla, as well as a 10 event competition Brotherhood wide related to a plague and illness with a wide range of prompts for everyone. She communicates well as a leader, and promotes a great community for membership who are placed within her Clan with opportunities and a great story.
For her amazing leadership in Clan Plagueis, and her work to provide opportunities to members of the Brotherhood, I recommend Ronovi for a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations.

Declan Roark has been an exemplary Consul in Vizsla’s first year, leading the Clan to impressive showings in two Vendettas and numerous other events, including a Clan Feud. He has been a whirlwind of personal activity, while still contributing at the highest level to club-wide decisions and advisement. In short, the former Grand Master has been an instrumental leader in the Brotherhood’s last two years, and more than deserves this Ruby Scepter - his third.
Vizsla is a product of intense effort from Declan, where he put hundreds of hours into organizing and planning the unit and the proposal for its founding. Once established, Vizsla performed extremely well, taking high placements in both recent Great Jedi Wars and maintaining an enormously high participation ratio over >70% in the latest GJW. In line with his Clan’s motto, Declan leads by example, with 21 total competitions organized and 98 competitions participated in, including 11 total Novae and 4 Crescents since his last Sacramental. Declan engages in every activity the club has to offer, earning 1100 gaming clusters, 50+ Clusters of Graphite and 30+ Clusters of Ice.
And of course, the former Grand Master continues his high service to the Brotherhood with over 2 years on the Star Chamber and as a Professor in the Shadow Academy. His input is invaluable in helping us decide major decisions for the Brotherhood. He provides guidance and counsel to numerous Dark Councilors - past and present - and has done so since returning to life outside of the Dark Council.
Congratulations, Declan, and thank you for all your hard efforts in establishing Vizsla and continuing to make the Brotherhood a better place as an advisor .

Atty continues to be a massive powerhouse of activity and compassion for this club. From her diligent work on “TeamVoice” to encouraging members from around the club (be it Arcona, Fiction Chat, Art Chat) Atty is always there to double down on kindness and a “get shit done” attitude.
Since her well earned promotion nine months ago, Atty hasn’t slowed down at all. During this period Atty was responsible for personally handling 249 character sheet approvals (Just shy of 20% of all sheet approvals) and 84 remands. Her remands, of course, were always of the highest caliber: polite, professional, and massively informative for the members to correct errors on their sheets. This doesn’t include the fact she provides insight on every reviewed sheet that gets remanded even it is by myself, Qyreia, Orion, or TuQ. As I stepped into the role of Voice, it was Atty who (thankfully) provided patient training on the systems and feedback while I found my footing. From writing better remands to putting out more interesting competitions to having more informative reports, Atty was there.
Atty’s Praetor skills go well beyond being a worker bee on the sheet queue, although I know a lot of time she must feel that is what it is. She has been a critical voice in the policy changes that have come out these last few months, and I rely heavily on the fact she will never not speak her mind on things I’m looking at doing. Her insight has been very important in changes to species, skills, powers, and everything else that is still in works.
Her work extends into the DJB Story Group. She helped plan out components for the newest club faction, the Tenixir Revenants. She helped with the overall story both of their prelude event and everything that occurred in the war, including some very critical plot changes. With 72 member features to work into chapter three, she also took up the mantle to completely write two of the five-member scenes, as well as going back and growing the ones I took care of to add more of the characters’ heart and souls into the scenes they were featured in. This resulted in her writing just under 3000 words for chapter three in addition to proofing ALL of the war associated fictions prior to release.
As a member, Atty pulls no punches. She is always engaged. She has competed in 61 different competitions in the last several months. 20 of these were fictions generating just under 95,000 words. That is more words than Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. She also pumped out 7 posts in run-ons for just under 6,500 words and completed two ACC battles.
All of this competition activity has netted her 2 Gold Nova, 1 Silver Nova, 1 Bronze Nova, a whole bunch of crescents (including 4 diamonds and 7 rubies!), 228 Clusters of Ice, 50 Clusters of Graphite and 18 Seals of Visions.
To make a long story short, Atty is one hell of a member, leader, worker, and friend. Anyone involved in club fiction benefits from the fact she is around. And the club as a whole benefits from her always being a bright beacon of positive energy.

When I look for a member who truly embodies passion for their characters and their Clan, I look no further than Atty. She is easily one of the hardest working members, not only in Arcona, but in the DJB itself. She is always ready and able to assist her fellow club members as the Praetor to the Voice, an inductee of the Arconae, and a true friend, mentor, and inspiration to us all.
Real life has truly knocked me down of late and Atty is always there to help pick up any slack, offer encouragement, and simply make sure I, and anyone else having similar issues, am doing ok. She has been one of the strongest and most reliable members of Arcona and placed within the top 10 in the War! I am extremely proud of her and all of her hard work. I look forward to making her proud as well.
Thank you Atty for all that you do for our Clan and this great club. You truly deserve this Ruby Scepter and I look forward to seeing you soar even higher. Congratulations!

Oh boy here we go, giving Atty more things to threaten people with. All joking aside she is very deserving of this new Scepter. I believe that nearly everyone has encountered Atty at one point or another or at minimum has heard of her shenanigans within the club. She is an awesome person and member. She’s always willing to help or not afraid to speak up about things when anything needs attention.
She’s always eager to do competitions herself or help proofread anyones fiction etc. Also regularly either participants or helps organize the House Roleplay Sessions. Always engaging with other members on telegram.
I feel honored to be her Quaestor and she has made me feel welcome and offered to assist me with any questions I may have. Thank you Atty for everything. You enjoy your Ruby Scepter, just don’t have any “accidents”. We are on 125 Days so far without one. CHEERS

Atty is without a doubt one of the hardest working and dedicated and talented members of the DJB. She is a pillar of the community, and I would be hard-pressed to imagine Arcona without her. Nor would I want to.
When I first started in the club, she took the time to mentor me, to guide me in both the inner workings of the DJB and in developing my character. I am hardly unique, as she is more than willing to help any member who asks. I am hard-pressed to think of a single Arconan who hasn’t be guided by her in some form or another.
In addition to helping newer members, she is also willing to provide assistance and guidance on the leadership level. As a titlebearer (and now Arconae Primus!), she is always willing to provide feedback and suggestions regarding the leadership of the clan. Her experience has proven to be invaluable.
She also gives back to the community by assisting in running the house roleplaying sessions, which helps to foster individual characters and the clan storyline as a whole. In addition to the necessary preparation, these roleplaying sessions pretty much require near-constant availability on Telegram to respond to messages and keep the storyline going. What’s more, these roleplaying sessions can take up to 3 to 5 days, requiring a significant time commitment.
In short, she helps with all the things, and is always available should anything arise. Her presence has shaped the overall experience for so many people in a positive manner. I personally am grateful to her for the time and energy that she devotes to Arcona and the DJB. What’s more, I am proud to call her a friend and a mentor.
Thank you for all you do, Bester. You deserve all the good things. Congratulations!

So. Atyriu. Atty. Abby. I don’t believe there really needs to be any introductions for her. It’s probably fair to say that when most people in the club think of Arcona, Atty is usually one of the first people that think of; for all the right reasons. Unflinchingly kind, incredibly quick to accept and encourage new members, and constantly competitive, she brings out the very best from everyone around her, from the noobs to the most grizzled vets in the clan. When we’re not making short jokes at her expense (<3), the rest of our time usually spent thanking her, or sobbing through one of her fictions.
When I first came to the Brotherhood, a little bit over a year ago, Atty was the one who really encouraged me to get into the swing of fiction writing. I know I’m not the only one; I can’t even name how many members in our clan, and the club as a whole, have told me that they really became active in their specific interests in the club because she inspired them to. She helps to teach all how they might do better; in their writing, as I well know; in our art; and in our leadership positions, guiding us with her extensive (and still commonly displayed) experience.
On my Battleteam, she’s easily the most active, winningest member around. In the Voice staff, she most certainly tackles the lion’s share of apps, and is always quick to offer her delightful insight aside from that. Things just go better when she’s around.
Atty deserves this. That, I can say without a shadow of a doubt.

Wow, Tahiri. Just…wow.
You are incredible. Your service to Plagueis is impeccable. Your participation is astounding. Your contributions to both the ACC and the Shadow Academy are worth cheering about. All around, you are the epitome of a stellar Dark Jedi Brotherhood member.
Tahiri has participated in a jaw-dropping 342 competitions since her last recognition and organized two of them as well, including doing all nine bins for the latest Great Jedi War. Just look at these shinies: Two Gold Novae. Nine Crescents with Ruby Stars. 27 Crescents with Amethyst Stars. 30 Crescents with Sapphire Stars. Five Crescents with Emerald Stars. 55 Clusters of Fire. 29 Clusters of Ice. 56 Clusters of Earth. 55 Clusters of Graphite. One Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting her younger sister, Livia. Seven Scrolls of Foundation for grading ACC exams. Five Legions of the Scholar. Two Seals of Loyalty. Thirteen Seals of Discord. Not only has she gone all out in events, but she has also done phenomenally in the overwhelming majority of them. It’s quantity and quality, people.
But it doesn’t stop there. Tahiri served as both Aedile and Quaestor of House Ajunta Pall before its closure, and since then, she has served as Plagueis’s Rollmaster for six months. Not only does she have a welcome letter ready for every new member, but she goes out of her way to PM them, link them to guides and SA exams, set them up with a master if they’re interested, and check in if she doesn’t hear anything from them. Whenever she is on Telegram, she is positive, bubbly, and friendly. She spearheaded the contact campaign during the latest Great Jedi War, leading the way in reaching out to members to ensure that they felt good about their entries. Tahiri is an incredible adviser, mentor, and friend, and I trust her on a number of subjects as it pertains to the health and productivity of the clan.
I will admit, upon looking through the numbers, that even the MAA Office vocalized their awe at Tahiri’s productivity, hence why I am able to recommend this amazing lady a Ruby Scepter. As it states in the award’s description, “Ruby Scepter recipients have demonstrated their value to the whole Brotherhood through extreme dedication to one or more specific aspects of the organization.” Not only has Tahiri shown extreme dedication in multiple aspects of the club, but she has also shown extreme dedication to Plagueis. I am so grateful to have her around as a leader, and I can only hope she can serve for many more months, or even years, as well.
Tahiri, you should have been awarded long ago, and the fault is mine for letting your accomplishments slip through the cracks. Please accept my sincerest apologies for taking this long to recognize your efforts.
Congratulations, and thank you!

Tahiri has been a vital member of the ACC staff under both Arch and myself. During her term as an ACC judge she has completed three judgments, two qualification exams and provided Rule of Two support to her fellow judges on at least four matches. All of these activities require a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail which Tahiri consistently delivers. All-in-all Tahiri has spent at least six hours in direct service to the ACC and its participants if not more. In addition to the directly quantifiable support Tahiri provides she has also provided invaluable counsel to two Combat Masters in the form of staff discussions and reviewing Combat Master proposals, including most notably providing critical feedback on the revised edition of the ACC Rubric.
Tahiri's perspective, professionalism and enthusiasm for the ACC make her an invaluable member of the staff that I count myself blessed to have. She is beyond deserving of a Ruby Scepter. On behalf of Arch and myself, thank you for everything you do.

It has been more than four years since Eminent Val Cole left the Dark Council, but in that time, he has found a myriad of ways to contribute to the Brotherhood. Over these last four years, he has been an integral part of the group of leaders advising two Grand Masters, and for much of his time since leaving the Council, he has been an active participant and, most recently, an accomplished leader at the Clan level. His varied contributions have left positive impacts on multiple Clans and the Councilors with which he has worked; it is rare that the combination of even temperament, experience, and leadership ability are all maintained even after a member has left the Dark Council, but Val is one such case.
Over the least few years, Val's activity and leadership have been impressive. Sarin describes Val's personal accolades in detail below, but it is worth noting that he is one of the few members that has completed all bins oin the last two Vendettas he took part in. This impressive achievement, along with multiple Novae earned, helped his Clans place in both of the last two Vendettas we have had. Later, as a founding member and Proconsul of Vizsla, he helped guide the unit to forming its first House, and when its Consul had his time reduced due to real life for a brief period, he stepped up and helped run our first Clan Feud in some time, marking him as one of the few non-Council members to run a Vendetta in recent memory. Sarin provides additional details on his noteworthy accomplishments as a member of Vizsla, below, that highlight Val's excellent activity. Val also contributed to the Shadow Academy and benefited the Brotherhood as a whole, first as a Professor handling gaming courses, and later as a Docent in the Shadow Academy with Leadership Hall responsibilities. In these capacities, Val managed courses and graded more than 50 exams with an under 9 hour average turnaround time.
But most of my personal interactions with Val over the last few years have been as an advisor, where he has excelled. First, as Magistrate to Pravus, and later, as my informal advisor, Val has been an essential contributor to many major decisions in the Brotherhood. Val has weighed in on various decisions ranging from the selection of new Consuls and Councilors to modification and additions to major changes to our systems from fiction to gaming. Val has his ear to the ground, and when he notes concerns he hears from members, he is quick to approach us respectfully. Val's reasoned perspective and objective evaluation has allowed us to address many member concerns rapidly. The kind of feedback Val provides is particularly useful due to his extensive experience on the Dark Council and across multiple Clans that gives him a unique perspective on member concerns.
In short, just as when he was a Dark Councilor, Val has been an exemplary member with a range of varied and important contributions to our club. And most recently, he has helped form a Clan, conducted a Feud, maintained a high level of activity and leadership, and been an instrumental advisor. These varied activities have helped make the Brotherhood a better place, not just for the members of the Clans he has served, but for all of us. As such, I congratulate Val Cole on his new Ruby Scepter!

Eminent Val Cole has established himself as one of the most dedicated and loyal members of our Club. Past awards and achievements have highlighted his real world efforts to increase our club's exposure (t-shirts, business cards, promotion at conventions) and his phenomenal in club work as both a leader and member. This Ruby Scepter recommendation is for Val's latest work in our club and it remains consistent with his long term participation and creation in the Dark Brotherhood.
Over the past two years Val has organized ten competitions, participated in 65, submitted over 77 unique gaming events, and written over 3500 words of fiction. Those efforts generated 4 Nova, 10 various competition crescents, 6 Pendants of Blood, over 980 Clusters, 29 Scrolls of Foundation, and 39 Seals for competing in Vendettas.
Val's participation beyond competition creation and competition participation was varied and included Magistrate to the Grand Master, Shadow Academy Docent (11 months), and Proconsul of the newly established Clan Vizsla (10 months). Within this work Val was a primary generated and creator of nearly all Clan Vizsla documents from idea generation, to proposal, to implementation. This work included the Vizsla proposal, Clan Possessions, and related documentation.
Upon implementation of the Clan as an Independent House, Val led our efforts in the Great Jedi War and secured our right to be called a Clan and our right to establish a new House. Following these efforts, Val went on to lead the planning, grading, and organization of a Clan feud against Plagueis. Val's work on the feud was instrumental to its success and he covered not only his role, but also mine, due to my real world obligations.
Val continues to participate in the Club at a high level and upon stepping down, he placed again, within the GMRG top ten quarterly leader-boards, showing that he is and will remain a valued contributor to our club's activities.
Val, thanks for all you have done. It has been a long ride since our terrible internet in Iraq in 2008 and I appreciate you sticking it out with me and the DJB!

Marick “Wally” Tyris has spent the seven months since his previous sacramental award tackling projects, handling day-to-day duties as a Dark Councilor, and planning a major event, and doing so with the exceptional dedication that has defined his career as Voice. In addition to his role overseeing such major projects and plots, he maintained staff and oversaw the fiction community that supported the development of member’s characters leading into and through the latest Great Jedi War. His impact on a number of member’s characters and experiences as part of the DJB was greatly felt, and he leaves the position of Voice and indeed the Brotherhood as a whole a better place than when he joined the Dark Council.
His most important contribution over the last seven months has been in the fictional development of our club. Perhaps most notably are his written works, as he has written 7 fiction updates since his last award, including an interlude, a chapter, and epilogue to Brotherhood Rising, as well as the prologue, chapter 1, chapter 2 and finale for the latest Great Jedi War. These fictions established a new faction, and opened and closed a Vendetta. The most noteworthy of course were his recent work on the Great Jedi War, and Wally’s final fiction incorporated dozens of members and covered every Clan, an enormous undertaking that wrapped up the War plot and created the perfect opportunity for future development, Brotherhood-wide.
Along with the fictions during the Vendetta, Wally helped organize a venue creation competition, two different multi-objective fictions in each phase, a miscellaneous competition as well as a combat writing event. He helped to develop the prompts, answer questions and grade during the conclusion and results. He also helped manage Severian Principate competitions for world-building and NPC creation and helped to build out the details of the faction and outline who this new potential ally was for members with organization charts and details.
After all the above, he helped to close out his time as Voice with administrative updates and housekeeping to help make sure the transitionto the next Voice was seamless. For all this great work on the Dark Council as Voice since his last award, we strongly recommend for Wally a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations Wally!

Bentre Kairn’tel Sadow has spent the past year in dual roles, as both the Wiki Tribune and Consul of Clan Naga Sadow. In these roles he has worked on projects supporting the entire brotherhood as well as the direct experience of members within his Clan. While participating in 131 competitions and leading from the front as a role model the entire time. As one of our Consuls, Bentre is consistently involved in major club-wide decisions. He is calm and collected and is always quick to provide us valuable feedback on his Clan.
As wiki tribune, he has kept the wiki up to date with CS and possessions related changes from the Voice and Regent offices, while updating navigation and other support to the vital wiki tool that is important for the storytelling the DJB community does having only 500 edits himself just this year.
As Consul of Naga Sadow, he ran Operation Antiquity along with Plagueis creating a great experience for members of his Clan along with another. Organizing or co-organizing 17 different competitions, as well as providing leadership and guidance during the last Great Jedi War where Clan Naga Sadow become Second Clan in a close finish and conclusion.
For all his contributions to the DJB over the past year in his leadership roles and as a member, I recommend a Ruby Scepter for Bentre. Congratulations.

The Ruby Scepter is beautiful ornate award awarded to members of the Dark Brotherhood who have demonstrated extreme dedication to the Club. Less than 1% of all Dark Jedi Brotherhood members have earned the Ruby Scepter due to the contributions required to earn it. In this case, I am confident in saying that Warlord Rajhin (known as Turel moving forward) has earned it. Turel has not been promoted in over a year and has not been awarded a Sacramental Award or Merit Award in over two years. Throughout the time since his last promotion he has served the Dark Brotherhood honorably as a Consul (two months), Left Hand of Justice (5 months), Quaestor (2 months), ACC Judge (15 months), and Left Hand of Justice (3 months). Beyond serving in these positions as a mentor in leader in our Club, Turel found time to earn 4 Nova, 63 Crescents, over 8000 clusters (not a typo), 31 Seals associated with Vendettas, and 3 x Seals of Foundation for 18 months of duty to the Shadow Academy. That activity was achieved through participation in seven run-ons, six ACC battles, 41 PvP matches, 566 PvE activities, and a total participation in 129 competitions. Outside of his competition participation, Turel found time to run 9 competitions and judge another 22 ACC matches.
Beyond Turel's individual merits as a member, he has worked tirelessly to improve our club as a whole. His activity as a member of the Court of Justice, as a judge in the ACC, and as Consul in Odan-Urr will be detailed below my recommendation by those who know his work best. I will focus on his work in ensuring the creation of Clan Vizsla; the DJB's first new Clan in over nine years.
Becoming a member of Clan Vizsla was a difficult choice for many members, but none more so than Turel. Turel is a legend within the Odan Urr community. He led them to a Vendetta victory as a Consul, he earned the Clan name, and he knew that leaving the Clan could cost him (personally and a Clan name). Despite this, Turel had the courage to see the opportunity in creating something new in the Dark Brotherhood.
Upon his arrival in Vizsla, Turel immediately began to provide insight and shape policies that would lead to Vizsla's approval. He was an editor and contributor to our proposal document (17 pages: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14tlay0gW4gxVDMvXuUc83LF2nyZJ4UARMuo7FBWJuX0/edit?usp=sharing) and our new home planet (https://wiki.darkjedibrotherhood.com/view/Zsoldos). His work on both of those projects was integral to the creation of our first new Clan in nearly a decade.
Sacramental Awards and Elder promotions require a member to go beyond their Clan. I'm confident in saying Turel has gone beyond any Clan in his activity and approach to the Dark Brotherhood. He has led one Clan to a Vendetta victory as a Consul, he has contributed greatly to the creation of a second Clan, he has served as both the protector of the DJB's CoJ interests as well as our members, and he has served as a Judge in the ACC. He has also served as both a voice of reason and a dissenting voice on many DJB policies and decisions (a role that gets people on the Temporary Star Chamber).
Turel, congrats on your award. I'm always honored to be the one recommending it :p

Turel brought to the Chamber of Justice a unique perspective, having unfortunately been through the CoJ process himself several years ago. To me, that was a perspective I wanted in the office of Left Hand of Justice. He was in a position that required empathy, and he was able to deliver.
The first half of 2017 saw a flurry of activity in the Chamber of Justice, which was buttressed by a slow end to the year. But that first part was hard. We had a cloning/cheating case that had some complexity to it, but more engulfing was the case that led to the expulsion of Xanos. The CoJ had not expelled anyone since its very early days, and it had not been done since the adoption of the new Covenant. And the sensitivity of the mater required a great deal of work.
During the course of those cases, I was impressed by the quality of work presented by Turel and the obvious thought that he put into all he did. He did not waver in taking positions that might be contrary to popular opinion, my opinion, or what might be right for the Brotherhood's policies. Rather, he did what was right by the defendant member, taking that Devil's advocate approach that is necessary. He ensured, for example, that Xanos was informed of everything involved in the CoJ process, and he kept me on my toes in making my decisions.
Turel was also instrumental in evaluating several LoR removal requests. Those require a good deal of time, and Turel was tasked with taking the side of the person seeking removal to argue their points. His advice helped me make the right decisions.
In addition to the above, Turel also represented the CoJ in the manner than I would expect him to. I found him to be upstanding and professional. He presented himself with care, and I never received any word that he was not holding himself to the high standard I set.
All-in-all, Turel likely spent at lease 20-25 hours in service of the CoJ, if not more. He was an excellent LHoJ and will be missed on my staff.
Jac Cotelin, 2019-06-10 15:24:31 UTC
This is a difficult recommendation for me to write, not because I have trouble finding things to say, but because there’s so much to distill into a few short paragraphs.
With regards to his service to the ACC, I have to admit that my own decision to step down as a judge was made much easier by the knowledge that Turel would be coming back on staff to serve in the unofficial senior judge role. His experience with the system, both as a competitor and a judge, was unrivaled. Since returning to staff, he has served as lead judge on an additional 22 matches, each a time commitment of roughly two hours. Additionally, he has graded 6 ACC Qualification exams, authored a venue for the relaunch of the Scenario Hall, and lent his keen eye and sharp mind to countless staff discussions. During the novel Coach’s Corner event last year, Turel led Team Red Panda and helped Mune Cinteroph start down the path to becoming a judge himself. Throughout all of this, Turel has also served as one of the ACC’s main evangelists and public advocates, a position he naturally occupies as one of the most prolific and successful competitors since the center’s rebirth.
In additional to his ACC service, Turel deserves recognition for his lasting contributions to Odan-Urr. Although most of his tenure on our summit has been documented in previous awards, the record leaves out his crowning achievement. Shortly after his elevation to EQ4, he led us to our first-ever victory in a club-wide vendetta. Independent House Odan-Urr struggled for years to gain traction, and even relative late-comers like me have been told to our faces that we don’t belong in this club, so it’s difficult to overestimate what becoming First Clan meant to all of us.
More than anyone else, Turel is the man responsible for building the leadership culture that won GJW XII and RoS: Meridian. An although it was the product of years of work, the level of energy and commitment he brought to his consulship was obvious right up to his very last day. During the War, he led from the front, completing every bin and earning himself 2 Novae; at the same time, he was constantly working to maintain a positive vibe in the COU war room and keep members on task and energetic. He worked with Edgar to create The Odanite Code, a statement of our clan’s values aimed at preserving our fun, member-driven attitude and avoiding the pitfalls of other established and highly successful units in the club’s past. During the first weekend of GJW XII, he and I scrambled to write a 12-page fiction update intended to show that the unexpected emergence of the Collective had a direct and significant impact on Odanites and their characters.
It’s safe to say I learned most, if not all, of what I know about unit leadership from watching Turel. Much of that is summed up in his final CON report, however he continued to be a valuable source of counsel and one of my most reliable members during my time as consul. He assisted in the early planning of the Consul Bride co-op event with Arcona, took a crescent for third place overall finish in the Tipping Point clan event, and earned full participation and a 20th place finish (our of 157) in the Rite of Supremacy. Although his passion at times gets the better of him, which I will admit made me want to Force choke him on multiple occasions, his unwavering commitment to the DB’s members is something that I will always respect. While I’m very sad to see him go, I know that Turel is at his best when faced with a challenge, and Vizsla could not ask for a better member to help lay the groundwork of a brand new clan.

Since joining the Chamber of Justice as Left Hand in February, Turel has made himself an indispensable part of the team. The Chamber works best when the Justicar and the Hands can discuss sensitive matters frankly and with shared commitment to protect the rights and interests of the club and its members. Turel understands and facilitates exactly that atmosphere. He has brought experience, competence, and good instincts in equal measure. Although none of the Chamber's work thus far in his tenure has been made public, Turel has provided timely, critical advice to me and to his fellow members who have had reason to seek his counsel.

Since her last recognition, Atty (Satsi) has spent the last year in continued service as Praetor to the Voice. During this time period, she has approved 146 Character sheets on her own, while answering questions and overseeing two magistrates that account for 369 character sheets. These metrics do not, of course, track on the fiction competitions she reviews and then approves or remands, or the character sheets she similarly reviews and remands, She provides guidance on these remands, maintains that the language they are using is in line with the Voice’s standards for member experience, and has consistent positive feedback for the time she takes to work with members on their custom aspects. She helps combat the stigma that a “remand” is a bad thing, and allows me, as Voice, not to worry that the Character Sheet guidelines aren’t being maintained. This frees me up to tackle projects and higher level oversight of the Fiction Society. Put simply, I trust Atty to run my office in the exact same way that I do, ensuring maximum continuity and coverage in the event that I have to take time off.
Atty has also taken to tracking DB-wide fiction competitions that are run and records the time length they ran, how many members subscribed, and how many actually entered submissions. This helps create a data model that can help us make informed decisions about what kind of competitions work better than others. She also worked with the Regent team to contribute to the Creatures project for Possessions.
Atty is also my long trusted proofreader. She proof reads every report, newspost, and fiction update that I create or produce. She offers a second set of eyes and lets me bounce my ideas off of her, and isn’t afraid to challenge my stance or try and show me a disparate opinion that aligns with that of a non-DCer. This helps me be a better Councilor, and I can’t really quantify how much she helps me operate as long as I have as Voice.
Outside her role as Praetor, Atty has not only been one of the most active engaged members of the Fiction Society, but one of the most consistently active members of the club. To wit, her sustained activity has had her complete 15 ACC matches, produced 79,615 words of fiction through 31 fiction competition entries, an additional 6,000 words of Run-On posts for a total of 231 Clusters of Ice. Beyond that, she has participated in 26 Graphic Competitions with 81 Cluster’s of Graphite and 23 regular Competitions with 60 total crescents. As a competitor, she took home 19 Seals of Fury for RoS: Meridian while also nabbing 3 Bronze Novae.
In short, Atty is not only a hard working leader and contributor to club as P: Voice, she is also one of its most active members day-to-day. Her ability to engage with literally anyone, and willingness to help them understand our character sheets or the system, supersedes her own wants or opinions because she knows that true progression in this club from staying tough in the fire and doing the work. So, here's something I don't think you've gotten yet: a red staff of booping, or better yet, a Ruby Sceptre for your emotional-terrorist throne. Thank you, Aberton III Esquire, for all you do.

It can be hard to quantify all a person does for their Clan, and with Atty/Satsi/Pancake it can be even more difficult. She is invested in every facet of Arcona, takes an interest in the older members who are too stubborn to disappear and every new join who graces us with their presence. While since her last recognition she's successfully mentored Eilen to the rank of Knighthood, this only one of many Journeyman she's helped on the path. Atty is a huge part of drawing new folks in and getting them settled in Arcona, in building community and a sense of belonging. Not only that, even without an official position in the Clan she's not let up on encouraging activity in others. During the Rite of Supremacy she was a whirlwind of encouragement, offering her services as a proofer or sounding board for ideas.
She digs in and doesn't give up as time limits draw near, she pushes and pushes and finishes what she sets her mind to, and she sets an incredibly example for the members of our Clan in doing so. In my six years with Arcona, I can say she's one of the very few Arconae to embody what it means to care and work for the Clan, and I am so proud to be able to even assist in recognizing her badassery. Congratulations, Atty!

Over the past year, Alaris has done an exceptional job as my Magistrate. As M:Fist, Alaris took on the monumental task of organizing and running the first ever Brotherhood Gaming League event, organized gaming competitions and tests, served as a Docent for the Gaming and Combat courses, and processed hundreds of gaming submissions.
Late in 2017, I announced in a report that I was looking for a Magistrate to assist me in helming a brotherhood wide Gaming League, focused on finding the best of the best in our four most popular platforms: Jedi Academy, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, and Overwatch. Alaris' application stood out above all others, and so I immediately hired him and tasked him with serving as a sort of "Commissioner" for the event. Alaris took complete ownership of the task and organized a year long event. This monumental undertaking involved eight distinct competitions, each with a different seeding/scoring method, culminating in four "Tournament of Champions" events for each of the featured games. On top of manually managing this entire system, Alaris took things one step further. Earlier this year, the club lost one if its most prolific gamers. Alaris was the first to suggest honoring Frosty Romanae Tarentae by naming the tournament, titles, and trophies in his honor. This level of care and compassion for Frosty's memory speaks to Alaris not only as a staff member and as a leader, but as a person as well.
On top of his BGL duties, Alaris organized monthly competitions for the Fist Monthly Gaming challenges, and organized a support test for Fortnite. While this test did not yield to Fortnite being added to the DJB library, Alaris' efforts cannot be ignored. He prepared a full support proposal including rules, cluster values, and ways to make the game fit in our library. Should the game ever see a rise in popularity in the club, Alaris has ensured that all the necessary staff work is done to ensure a smooth addition of the game into the supported library.
My Magistrates are responsible for managing a minimum of two Shadow Academy courses in the Gaming and Combat Hall. While this is outside of the normal responsibilities for a Fist Magistrate, Alaris took this responsibility just as seriously as his normal Magistrate duties. As the Docent for the Armor, Land Vehicles, and Ranged Weaponry courses, Alaris took the time to review each course to ensure it was in line with current DB canon, updated/re-wrote sections as necessary, and ensured that courses were graded fairly and within the 24 hour standard set by the Headmaster.
Finally, Alaris is hands down one of the most meticulous magistrates I have ever had on my staff. He goes through every single submission with a fine toothed comb, ensuring that every member who should be on a submission is there, and every member who is not is removed. Nobody is better at spotting errors or discrepancies in gaming submissions than he is, period. Over the past year, Alaris has approved 302 PvE/PvO submissions and 131 PvP activities.
I could not have asked for a better person to serve as M:Fist and as my BGL "Commissioner". Alaris is one of the club's best, and this award is only a small token of my appreciation for his efforts.
Congratulations Alaris, and thank you.

Alaris has a long history of service in the Chamber of Justice, with more time under his belt as a Hand or on the Appeals Panel than any other member. Most recently, he completed a successful, if somewhat slow, term on the Appeals Panel before I selected him to serve as my first Left Hand of Justice.
I chose Alaris for the job because of his reliability, his temperament, and his experience, both in the Chamber and the club as a whole. It was the right choice. Alaris has helped me navigate my first few months as Justicar by offering timely, thoughtful advice and input, and by carrying out his duties -- namely, counseling and advocating for those charged or to-be-charged by the Chamber -- with expertise and diligence.
It has, thankfully, been a relatively quiet year for the Chamber, with only one investigation resulting in a published conviction. However, the lack of news from the Chamber belies the activity occurring behind the scenes. As Left Hand, he is always on call and has always been available. For the sole case of the year, Alaris spent hours consulting with me and the Right Hand, as well as counseling the defendant on his rights and the helping him to weigh the relative merits of pleading guilty or not guilty.
In other matters, Alaris has reviewed evidence for potential charges and provided cogent analysis and advice on how the Chamber should proceed. Throughout, he has never lost sight of his primary duty: protecting the rights of the members.
His assistance has been invaluable to the Chamber, and I am very pleased to be able to recommend him for this Ruby Scepter.

Alaris is an incredible member who has always given his best serving the Clan as Proconsul under my predecessor as well as myself for well over a year. During that time he diligently fulfilled his duties, contributing ideas and insights whenever needed and serving as an exemplary member of the Clan by being active both as participant and organizer of competitions for the Clan and Brotherhood.
Since he resigned, Alaris focused on serving the Brotherhood on a larger scale such as Left Hand of Justice, Shadow Academy Professor and Magistrate to the Fist where he continued to work as an outstanding staff member running a multitude of competitions for the Brotherhoods gaming community.
Most recently Alaris has brought himself to attention for becoming Second Hero of the Rite of Supremacy: Meridian, for not only participating in twenty-one out of twenty-nine competitions but also for scoring the second most points for a single member in the event and scoring the highest individual score for a member of Taldryan.
Alaris, you are one of the most dedicated members the Brotherhood has today and it surely wouldn't be the same place without your work. For this reason I am proud to have you as part of Taldryan and would like to thank you for all you have done with this Ruby Scepter. Congratulations, this one is well deserved.
