They say when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Likewise, they say when in Plagueis, Do All The Things(™). And that’s just what Marcus does. Marcus is a dedicated and reliable member of Plagueis, always willing to jump in during an event and not only get participation in himself, but encourage other members to fight alongside him in bringing victories to the clan. While real life can sometimes get in the way and available time can be an issue, Marcus has recently decided to dive back into being an active member of the clan! Since his last recommendation, Marcus has participated in 23 different competitions earning a Cluster with Amethyst Star and 2 with Emerald Star. His return to activity has coincided with the release and support of Star Wars Hunters which he has jumped into, co-ordinating times to play with his fellow clan mates earning himself 6 Cluster of Fire.

Now, you’d think someone as old as the Roman Empire would already know everything there is to possibly know. But Marcus has proven that everyone can expand their knowledge by completing 14 Shadow Academy courses, earning an additional 7 degrees and ranking up not once, not twice, but three times in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences to reach rank X (oh look, another Roman reference!). Outside of his site tracked metrics and awards, Marcus is an absolute pleasure to have in the clan, always willing to chat with his clan mates both one on one and in the clan chat, encouraging his fellow members, answering questions and getting to know them on a personal level. Marcus, my old friend, this clan truly isn’t the same place without you and I am honoured to be able to write this recommendation, I am trusting you with this stabby, please refrain from stabbing me with it 23 times. Congratulations on a well deserved Sapphire Blade!

Ronovi has been a steadfast member and leader within Clan Plagueis, holding several different positions across more years than most have even been members. Their work has stood them in fine stead amongst those who have served the Ascendant Clan, through times that were easy and times that were hard. Since their last recognition, they've participated in a number of competitions for sure. However, their having banked over five thousand XP, as yet unspent on medal recognitions, speaks to exactly how much work they have done over the years. Specifically, I wanted to highlight some of their contributions since my time taking over as Consul that have not shown up on activity trackers: Ronni has provided invaluable counsel on the fictional direction of Plagueis over their years at the helm, helping me to bridge the past with the fictional direction moving forward. This work, in an advisory capacity beyond that of a simple member, is exactly the sort of contributions that we value from those that have stepped back from leadership, and that which we see all to infrequently. Ronni's service is one that any member would be envious of, and any Consul would be thankful for. I know that I, for sure, am. Congratulations!

Writing recommendations for Katrila seems to be becoming a bit of a habit as of late. And I am here for it!

Since her last medal (less than two months ago!), Katrila has been determined to prove to everyone she is a force to be reckoned with by not only dabbling in just about every aspect of this club, but clawing her way to the top. Gaming? With 6 gaming activities and 28 Clusters of fire, check! Well, what about the Shadow Academy? Surely Katrila’s already learned everything there is to learn. That may be true now seeing as how she was able to successfully complete a whopping 23 Shadow Academy courses and earn an additional 6 degrees!! Fiction? Katrila has completed 2 ACC matches (winning both!), participated in her first RP and submitted another 6 fiction activities for an astounding total of 9,721 words and 16 Clusters of Ice. Well, surely she skipped out on graphics right? That’s where Katrila would prove you wrong yet again! Katrila submitted some amazing art to 8 different competitions for a total of 24 Clusters of Graphite. Katrila has also tried her hand at organizing a competition, participated in an astounding 97 competitions and earned 3 Crescents with Diamond Star, 4 with Ruby, 5 with Amethyst, 1 with Sapphire, 1 with Emerald and 2 with Quartz for her placements!

All-in-all, it has been an absolute pleasure to see Kat pounce at every opportunity before her. Climbing through the ranks like a cat stuck in a tree that refuses to come back down, Katrila has ranked up 9 times in the DB societies. Entering the Envoy Corps participants society, entering AND reaching level 2 as an ACC participant, entering and reaching rank III in the Shroud Syndicate, reaching rank II, III AND IV in the Inquisitorius and reaching rank IX in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences! On top of all of the activity Kat has been pumping out, she has also been an active and positive member of the clan, reaching out to ask and answer questions, encouraging gaming activities between clan mates and just generally being an amazing person to chat with in the clan chat. It has been incredible watching your growth within both the clan and the club and I can’t wait to do this again in a few months time. Congratulations Katrila on a well deserved Sapphire Blade!

Vorran was Praetor to the Herald for Rian, and then me until January 7th of this year. During the final months of their tenure, Vorran created the 2 robes (Male / Female GJW Arconan reward), 5 custom weapons, 2 warbanners, generating a total of 60 different graphics. Furthermore, as Praetor they helped Rian lead the staff towards the Christmas release in the final months of 2023. They also had a hand in creating and updating various Herald guidelines, directly improving the member experience in the Shroud Syndicate society.

We should all be grateful for Vorran’s contributions as an artist, a leader, and a member. Thank you for all your hard work as a key part of the Herald’s staff over the years. Congratulations on your new Sapphire Blade!

Your alighting presence around Discord is always a genuine joy as well, whether it's to share tidbits about past events, or just general chatter, you've always had something grand to add to the banter.

Strategos Thanatos Entar Arconae has been a persistent cornerstone in Arcona that has gone waaay back in the club. And even while he was somewhat retired from the club, he still maintained his title as flash-game king for the longest time. With the XP system changes and an accrued the 5125 medal xp for a Sapphire Blade, we can truly award Strat for some of this impressive record activity! Since joining the Brotherhood, he had earned 5,518 Clusters of Fire, 8 Clusters of Ice, and 8 Clusters of Graphite, and 17 Pendants of Blood. He's passed 18 courses as well. These efforts have earned him 18 Society rank ups: 2 Aurora Collegium of Sciences, 12 GMRG, 2 Inquisitorius, and 2 Shroud Syndicate. Strat is also a seasoned vendetta participant, some of these seals I've never even heard of! All in all he's earned a total of 129 vendetta seals.

First of all: Welcome Home, I think it's time we gave you another weapon.

You've had some accrued experience sitting under the table waiting for you. Undoubtedly this is all, most likely, the result of 'studying' (or so I tell folks I'm doing when I sequester myself to do DB-related things), but, jokes aside, the most important thing, is it was all, truthfully, the result of efforts you made through your time in The Brotherhood being reflected. Since the last time you were rewarded, you've taken part in 15 competitions, 16 counting a container in the mix, earned 3 Clusters of Fire, a Scroll of the Master, and climbed 6 Ranks in the Shroud Syndicate.

Lucine Vasano has earned 5125 medal xp needed for a Sapphire Blade! Since her last medal, she has participated in 23 competitions and earned 2 Ruby and 1 Amethyst Star Crescent. With the launch of the Antei Combat Center judging side of the society, she earned 7 rank ups in the trophies for her past service as an ACC Judge. With the new xp system, that service wasn’t the only activity she had done in the past that now has a set value to it. For starters, since joining the Brotherhood, Lucine has had 45 society rank ups including the ACC Judge ones; 9 ACC as a Participant, 4 Envoy as a participant, 6 Shroud Syndicate, 12 Inquisitorius, 4 GMRG, and 3 Aurora Collegium of Sciences. A seasoned veteran of Vendettas, she has accrued 69 vendetta seals! She’s netted 35 CoF, 59 Clusters of Graphite, and 516 Clusters of Ice! The cunning lady has also done 45 SA Courses and earned 2 degrees.

Lucine has done so much for this clan and Arcona’s community, having served it from Battleteam leader to Consul. But more importantly, she holds a presence in chat that’s hard to miss, as friendly, engaging and encouraging as she is with her peers.

Terran Koul has earned 5125 medal xp for a Sapphire Blade! Since his last award, he has ranked up four times in the Antei Combat Center as a Judge with the release of the new ACC society. Those matches he graded weren't the only thing now earning a set value, there’s quite a list of accomplishments that prior to the XP system their worth wasn’t quantified — like clusters. Terran has earned 4,177 Clusters of Fire in gaming, 126 Clusters of Ice in Fiction, and even 36 Clusters of Graphite. His gaming efforts included securing 18 Pendants of Blood. And he’s certainly made a mark as a seasoned vendetta player, earning a total of 112 vendetta seals since joining the Brotherhood. The man was awarded 2 Dark Side Scrolls, 1 Scroll of Indoctrination, 2 Scrolls of the Master, and 4 Legions of the Scholar. And he’s done so much more, activities that had contributed to past awards and promotions, all recorded on his dossier.

When I joined the Brotherhood and Arcona, I found myself in House Qel-Droma while Terran was Aedile. He, along with others, saw leadership potential in me and encouraged me to apply for Shadow Gate’s Battleteam Sergeant, which spurred my path in djb leadership. He helped guide and teach me the ropes, how to write reports, run competitions and events, evaluate member’s activity for awards(I still remember often the key for comps/awards worth broken down in points, how it seemed like a precursor to xp system, a little sanity check). Terran helped not only to facilitate and direct Qel-Droma’s fictional story but also Arcona’s, aiding alongside Atyiru/Ruka with the Sins of the Past event that spanned multiple years. He went from Aedile to Quaestor to Proconsul for through the last 8 years, all while being Magistrate to the Seneschal.

I am honored to have the opportunity to present Orv Dessrx his first award since returning to the clan! With the new xp system and the collected activity since early 2014, we have a meaty Sapphire Blade award right here. So, buckle up and ready your eyeballs, bucko!

Since his last award, 33 competitions that earned him a handful of crescents and even a couple nova! A gold and a silver Nova, and 6 Seals of Revelation; 1 Ruby, 1 Amethyst, 1 Sapphire and 3 Emeral Star Crescents. After he rejoined us here at the end of May, he did a couple graphic comps and netted 6 Clusters of Graphite. He also participated in an rp, writing 728 words of fiction and earning a Cluster of Ice for it and a rank up in the Envoy as a participant. He ranked up in the other societies as well! Passing 41 courses and earning 6 degrees, Orv gained 5 ranks with the Aurora Collegium of Sciences. He leveled up in the GMRG once, twice with the Inquisitorius, and 4 times with the Shroud Syndicate! Orv was awarded a scroll of foundation for reporting a few errors in a couple SA exams in 2020. Orv had served 17 months total as Magistrate to the Herald and 7 months as Special Magistrate to the Seneschal. He received 2 Seals of loyalty for his dedication to the Brotherhood!

Congratulations, Orv Dessrx! Well done and thank you for all you have done. I look forward to what’s to come, and may the shadows guide your path!
