Halc has accrued a great of site related XP since his last recognition, even from the Rogues (mostly). He's organized three competitions, participated in 115, somehow earned a Gold Nova, 3 Crescents, a little over a dozen Crescents, two Scrolls of Foundation, and a butt load of Seals.

Halc has served as Magistrate to the Master at Arms for many years. Since his last MAAly related recognizition a little under four years ago, he's continued to support our work of approving and denying competitions, non-site XP evaluations and discussions, and boatloads of manual editing of competitions.

The critical role of the MAA staff - and it is often unstated - the reality checks. Halc uses his knowlege from his almost 30 years of DB time to opine on policy choices and recommendations (as mentioned before). He's been a great sanity checker for when I am in fact being a jackass, and therefore need my jackassery corrected. Thanks Halcy.

On this, the final day of the Master at Arms office - I award Halc an Emerald Dagger for his service to the Brotherhood - and his constant support (stabbing and yelling) for all these years.

You may sleep now.

Primary reason

Lord Muz Ashen Keibatsu stands as one of the true pillars of Clan Naga Sadow. Not to forget his influence at Club level. After all we are talking about a former Grand Master, his name is widely known across the Club. His dedication and loyalty to both the Brotherhood and Clan are etched in our history! Throughout his remarkable career in the Brotherhood he has never once hesitated to shoulder the burden of leadership. First, I will get his personal accomplishments out of the way before highlighting this man's ability to lead and influence.

In this reporting snapshot he has Org/Co-Org'd a total of 82 comps and participated in 709 competitions along with 373 gaming activities, his activity alone speaks volumes. Yet his impact goes far beyond raw numbers. Lord Keibatsu has furthered his knowledge prowess by passing 34 Shadow Academy courses and earned 9 degrees. All the while amassing an extraordinary record of personal accolades, garnering 1 Silver Nova, 204 Clusters, an astonishing 7,808 Crescents, 1 Dark Scroll, 1 Seal of Loyalty, 16 Seals of Ascension, and 10 Seals of Transcendence. This is the résumé of a member who does not simply participate, he elevates everything around him. His efforts to strengthen our internal culture are especially evident in the nineteen roleplay sessions he has personally established and ran to advance our ongoing story arcs. More importantly, he actively recruits members to join these sessions, reinforcing the Clan’s esprit de corps and ensuring no one is left on the sidelines.

As Proconsul, Lord Keibatsu epitomizes what leadership within the Brotherhood and Clan Naga Sadow should look like. He consistently puts the needs of the Clan and its members before his own, going out of his way to help members resolve issues whether it be Club related or those R/L issues come about. His council is sound and sought after by our members. More times than not he has counseled our members through difficult situations, this I can personally attest to. He makes himself available to our members night and day always with positive optimism and reassurance.

He encourages members participation and brings honor to our name by just being that leader everyone feels comfortable with. On a personal note, I would be remiss not to acknowledge the profound influence he has had on me over the years. It would be easy and admittedly selfish to frame him solely as my mentor, but the truth is far greater! Lord Keibatsu brings that same level of guidance, patience and insight to every member of this Clan. His mastery and knowledge of the Force, Brotherhood history, lightsaber theory and construction is nothing short of extraordinary. Having said that, his true specialty is all things Naga Sadow. Those traits have guided our members in their career developments in such simple ways as helping devise character sheets and as detailed as guiding members to formulate a solid character background story for themselves.

Time and again, when we brainstorm story arcs, he has the rare ability to take even the wildest ideas (mostly from me) and weave them seamlessly into our Clan’s legacy. That rare quality guides us in producing cohesive and compelling narratives for the entire membership to enjoy. One standout example was our successful proposal to the Regent’s office to incorporate the Harrower-class dreadnaught into the Possessions system. Which was followed by his knowledge in guiding the narrative that firmly anchored the Harrower’s deep historical significance to Clan.

He is also tireless in pushing our members toward advancement, breaking down promotion paths and motivating participation. I have heard "I want everyone promoted!" more times that I can count. His influence is not confined to a single avenue of activity though, it consistently ignites member interest and plays to their individual strengths. One such example of his influence has been the ability to guide a few of our members with advancing their GMRG ranks. A goal he actively supported by organizing additional gaming matches specifically designed to help them achieve that very goal. He just has that natural gift for drawing quieter members back into the fold. Over the last few sessions of Parabellum his influence on CNS activity was a direct result of CNS's rise in participation rates bolstering members activity XP as well as garnering a credit bonus for the Clan.

Behind the scenes, Lord Keibatsu’s impact is just as formidable. He routinely works alongside me in the Brotherhood’s administrative systems. Meticulously combing through member records to identify who is due recognition, who needs guidance and where our attention is most urgently required. He invests significant personal time, often more than anyone realizes. Compiling data, tracking progress and prioritizing the needs of our membership with quiet precision. This is not glamorous work, but it is absolutely vital and Lord Keibatsu approaches it with the same diligence and care that defines his leadership in every other arena. His efforts ensure that our members are not overlooked and that Clan Naga Sadow remains proactive and fully engaged with the development of its members.

Let us not forget his time within the Brotherhood's Star Chamber. Since his appointment to the Star Chamber in July 2022, Lord Keibatsu has further demonstrated the depth of his leadership and the trust the Brotherhood places in his judgment. Star Chamber business is all secret squirrel stuff to me, but I do know that serving on this board is no small responsibility. It requires clear strategic vision, measured counsel and an unwavering commitment to the long-term health of the Club. His presence on the Star Chamber reflects not only his experience, but the confidence the Brotherhood has in his steady hand and sound counsel.

Simply put, Lord Keibatsu is a rock solid leader. He is not just our PCon, he is a trusted sounding board for the entire Clan and I am proud to call him a friend. His focus is always unwaveringly on what is best for the Clan. I have absolute confidence in his ability to carry the Clan forward at a moment’s notice. It is therefore my distinct honor and privilege to recommend and award Lord Muz Ashen Keibatsu with this Sacramental award. For all that you have done for this Clan and its members, you are truly deserving of this prestigious recognition. Congratulations Sir and thank you!!

Since his last medal back in 2022, Xantros has done a literal ton of stuff.

He's amassed 220 organized comps, 26,000 words of written fiction, 11 Society ranks, an impressive 137 Crescents from every end of the rainbow, 66 Clusters of Ice, 355 Clusters of Graphite, 5 Scrolls of Foundation, and 14 Seals of Transcendence. HE hasn't been with us in COU for very long, but he's already showing that this momentum that has earned him an extreme amount of xp while he was still a Rogue isn't going to slow down at all.

This member has achieved much and it's my honor to grant him his first Emerald Dagger. Congrats, Xantros. Well earned and I'll see you in the next one.

Primary reason

Over the last two years, DarkHawk has remained his usual stellar and dependable self, serving as Naga Sadow’s Consul. One of the hardest and most important positions in the club, he continues to lead CNS with a kind and caring determination.

DarkHawk is first and foremost a champion for his members, a beacon of positivity and celebration for everything anyone in his clan accomplishes. Moreso than another Consul I’ve seen, DH regularly makes sure his people’s successes (be them medals, promotions, or society advancements) get highlighted and cheered on. His efforts to celebrate his members is an inspiration, be it regular messages on Discord or the frequent emails to the entire clan. Not once in my time working with him have I seen him be anything but kind, courteous, and willing to dive in headfirst at whatever he is pointed towards.

That willingness to get things done can be clearly seen by his efforts in Pro Bowl VIII and Pro Bowl IX. The Pro Bowl has grown into a massive club-wide event, and DarkHawk not only pushes his own members to compete but his help in leading these last two were vital in the great success we saw in activity from throughout the club. Coordinating and working with the leaders in all seven clans is no easy task, but DarkHawk was able to handle it, along with overseeing six different competitions for Pro Bowl VIII and seven for Pro Bowl IX. Coordinating and dealing with the leaders of seven clans is no easy thing, and DarkHawk has been willing to be in the thick of it twice now.

But it isn’t just the big events he shows up for; he has organized 62 competitions over the last two years, including a wonderful club-wide sketching comp series and the very regular ‘Order of the Blackguard’ competitions for CNS. These competitions, featuring a complex management of seeing all CNS member activity across the month, not only promote activity in all of the club’s pillars, but also help bring CNS members into a fictional place of power, serving as the clan’s Blackguard for the month. This also comes with writing five of the recent CNS clan-wide fictional updates, and working in their clan story RPs.

DarkHawk also doesn't just sit around as a leader; he leads by example. Over the last two years, he has managed to churn out participation in an incredible 320 non-container competitions, with a wide spread between fiction, gaming, art, timed, and miscellaneous type competitions. This also comes with a health 138 gaming activities, all of which have netted over 2 million credits for CNS.

This example pays off. Over the last three cycles of Parabellum, Clan Naga Sadow has shown up to bring home the bacon. Cycle 1 saw 11 CNSers participate, while Cycle 2 and 3 saw 13 each leaving CNS in a very healthy spot in comparison to all the other clans. CNS’s percentage of roster participation has grown each time, topping out at 50% in the last cycle. DarkHawk himself shows up the top ten for pillars 6 times, and twice in the top 3!

The day in and out of Consul life can be difficult, yet DarkHawk continues to show up for his members. Reliable and consistent, his Consul duties, along with his efforts on the HM staff, and as a general member, remain impressive and should be celebrated, just as he does for everyone else’s accomplishments.

Congrats DH!

Additional reasons

Thankfully, my time on the Headmaster staff ran parallel with DarkHawk. He was quick to get courses graded and perform the normal day-to-day operations. But the biggest help he provided was in assisting me in updating the courses. We combined to update the Planets and Moons course, with DarkHawk not only performing Quality control on my grammar, but he also wrote 10 new questions and answers for the course. Additionally, he was the main QC person on the Societies: Inquisitorius and Societies: Aurora Collegium courses, the latter of which has yet to be made live; however, Darkhawk's contribution was a huge help in getting both of these courses written and prepped for implementation.

Congrats and thank you again, Darkhawk.

Korvyn, 2026-01-21 21:23:23 UTC

One of the biggest lifts in the land of the Consuls is coming together each year to host the Pro Bowl. This is an event that brings to the table a significant facsimile of the mechanical work of running a Vendetta and the Consuls are roped into my madness in order to provide this event to the members, from the DC on down. For the last two Pro Bowls (or all of them, really, but at least for the purposes of this recommendation the two covered since his last award) Darkhawk has been one of the most reliable and eager of all the Consuls I've had the pleasure to work with. He handles what he's been given with a smile, or at least it seems like a smile from the tone of his text messages, and then is always asking for more. He is always going above and beyond for us at Pro Bowl time, and his dedication to serving the Brotherhood as a whole cannot be overstated. He is there for Naga Sadow sure, but most importantly he's there for the entire club to make sure that everyone here can have a great time when it comes time to bowl. Kudos, Darkhawk, you've done more than enough to earn this one!

Master Selika Roh di Plagia, 2026-01-21 22:43:21 UTC

It is one of my distinct pleasures to have been afforded the opportunity to work with DarkHawk over these past years. Never have I encountered a more polite, calm, and driven individual. DH truly cares about his members and the experience of this club. He is the first to reach out to "upper management" when he feels someone has done something worthy of recognition, always providing detailed information on the why, even for the smallest of things.

It has been a delight to see him grow from rank and file member to the Consul he has become, and he is still growing. With the confidence to rely on the experience of others and the willingness to serve, I can't rightly say there isn't a better example of the core personality that makes up a good leader. And granting those leaders shinies is the best part.

Congratulations DH.

Darth Renatus, 2026-01-22 19:20:27 UTC

I talk a lot about the old meanings of the medals in these recommendations sometimes, a tie-in to the older brotherhood systems that some of us grew up in. Even though DH has been in the club for longer than even I, I don't feel like it would do him justice. For the last three years and change, DH has been Consul of our Clan Naga Sadow, two of those years without recognition for that work. Today, I am writing in hopes of changing that.

Darkhawk gets more excited for his members’ achievements than his own. He is CNS’s most proud cheerleader, bragging about their accomplishments and encouraging them to do more in so doing. Always there for a quick chat, to help a person navigate some of our most challenging systems, or even just to lighten their mental load after a particularly challenging life event, Darkhawk is like an older brother to us all. Available at odd hours to do everything from voice chats to talk about character concepts, or help fellow members with ‘machine gun therapy’ in a video game, he’s just there. He doesn’t grouse, he doesn’t get annoyed, he is ever calm, always relaxed, and all but unflappable, no matter what seems to be happening. It’s that level of care, of concern for his members, and his desire that his people have a better experience whenever possible that is admirable and all but necessary at the Consul’s level. Because at the end of the day, what use is there in being a leader without members, of having a brotherhood without brothers?

As such, I am glad to add my name to the list of esteemed folks here recommending that Darkhawk be awarded with his first Emerald Dagger, in recognition of his many years of service to the club, to the clan, to his members. As a gesture of thanks, as a token of our esteem, as a measure of the care that we all feel for him as he does for us. Thank you, DarkHawk.

It's both an incredible delight and honour to make this recommendation today. In a clan that is home to a variety of notable members for the club, some are former councillors or GMs while others are activity superstars, amongst these legendary figures stands Valhavoc - a pillar of our clan, our gaming community, and the club as a whole.

Since last being awarded two years ago, Valhavoc has organized 59 competitions, co-organized 6 competitions, and participated in another 288 competitions. This has earned him 105 Crescents (13 Diamond, 14 Ruby, 26 Amethyst, 21 Sapphire, 23 Emerald, 6 Topaz, & 2 Quartz). Additionally he has earned 6170 Clusters of Fire, 4 Cluster of Ice, 83 Clusters of Graphite, and 1 Seal of Loyalty. Further to these impressive metrics, Valhavoc has completed 219 gaming activities, completed 4 fiction activities while writing 1165 words of fiction and 613 words for RP sessions. Valhavoc has also completed 12 courses and 5 degree in the Shadow Academy and he has also achieved 8 society rank-ups (3 Aurora College, 3 Shroud Syndicate, and 2 Envoy Corps). This level of activity has obtained 1,708,940 credits for Vizsla while Valhavoc has amassed 47,685 MXP through these activities.

However, Valhavoc has also contributed significantly to Vizsla’s leadership, our gaming community, and in turn our club as a whole and has earned the additional 10,700 non-site MXP needed for a Emerald Dagger (58,385). While I will detail his clan and Quaestor contributions, supported by Dracaryis’ details from before my time as Consul, Donny has also been included to provide details on Valhavoc’s contributions to the Fist office and our gaming community.

To start, Valhavoc has served in the Vizsla summit first as M:CON for 1 month and then continuing as Quaestor of Deathwatch for another 8 months. Through these roles, Valhavoc was responsible for contributing monthly Bounty Board competitions that would reflect the membership of Deathwatch, he was also responsible for promoting clan-wide competitions and inter-unit events and did so regularly in our clan warchat channel and while also providing instruction or guidance when members needed it. Valhavoc was also responsible for hosting social events for the membership which he typically did at least once a month in the form of impromptu gaming nights on the start of Gorefest. These gaming nights regularly placed Vizsla in the top 3 for Gorefest, even if Valhavoc himself did not, reflecting leadership that encouraged participation in others. Of note, November’s Gorefest was the most standout moment that saw as many as 14 members filling the Vizsla voice chat at one time while playing 3 different platforms and amassing hundreds of clusters of fire in a single night, all due to Valhavoc’s gaming night and encouragement. Aside from these regular duties, Valhavoc was also responsible as Quaestor for regularly completing membership evaluations, assisting the Clan summit in planning the clan’s direction, while also reaching out to members in a one-on-one manner to cultivate activity and community.

While all of these regular Quaestor/MCON duties are notable in themself, I would be remiss to not also mention that these duties were performed during a time of great hardship for the clan after losing Sarin. In a time of great turmoil, Valhavoc stepped in to provide stability for the clan and assist Drac & Mako with keeping the clan going. His stability was also required again in the fall when he initially planned to step down but the clan had needs as Drac unexpectedly needed to step down. Thankfully, Valhavoc remained as Quaestor to provide stability and support to the new clan summit and I, personally, cannot thank him enough for that.

Furthermore, Valhavouc also was responsible for other contributions to the clan. He’s been directly involved in reviewing and providing feedback on the coming Blackheart Table, a fictional role for our ad Vizsla group. Val has also provided proofing and feedback on several Vizsla admin documents such our summit awarding guide and our roles and responsibilities doc as Vizsla continues to modernize its summit documents. Most notably, Valhavoc was solely responsible for the creation, design, and testing of Vizsla’s battlepass system which we now call the Vizsla Bounty Tracker starting with an initial proposal of 1320 words that was adapted into a measurable design, then testing that design over several months in the summer and fall to provide proof of concept which resulted in the polished system introduced to the clan this month. After roughly 6 months of work, going forward, this system will be used to award the clan relics for use through its merit based design, all thanks to Valhavoc.

To supplement Donny’s recommendation, I’d also like to include Valhavoc’s contributions to the gaming community that I’ve witnessed. As the primary promoter of Diablo 3 and Diablo 4, not only has Val been a constant content creator for the community in the form of competitions but Val has also been a mentor and assisted members in learning about the games and fine-tuning their gear. I’ve observed many discussion in both vizsla and gaming channels assisting others in bettering themselves in these games and this has had the effect of continuing the club’s activities in these games. Most importantly, Valhavoc was also involved in testing play times for Diablo 4 by completing several runs in Torment 4 per build and timing his efforts. Through this he was able to provide responsible balancing suggestions to how the club awards runs in Diablo’s undercity, pits, infernal hordes and nightmare dungeons.

For these contributions, Valhavoc has the clan's thanks and we wish to recognize those contributions through today's Emerald Dagger.

Raiju, 2025-12-31 19:01:24 UTC
Additional reasons

I'm sure others will praise Valhavoc's incredible activity levels and the exceptional work he has completed. However, what truly makes Vizsla and this club feel like a home isn't just the passion for competing and earning credits; it's the deep sense of camaraderie we build with each other, even with people we haven't had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face.

Val is a shining example of this spirit, helping to create a warm, inviting, and vibrant place for everyone. He consistently offers uplifting and encouraging comments to members. This gently motivates them to strive for more, not through pressuring them, but by making the entire experience genuinely fun. His competitions are always thoughtfully crafted and cater to what the members of Vizsla truly enjoy, showing he listens and cares.

Outside of club stuff, he's always up for a friendly chat, whether it's about the Brotherhood or just shooting the breeze about life. As a former Fist, Valhavoc is also generous with his time and knowledge of gaming, helping members with tips on builds and playstyles in games like Diablo 4 and teaching newer members how to play games and submit gaming scores. I know many of our clanmates really appreciate the willingness to help, myself included.

Congratulations Valhavoc. This is well earned!

Korvyn, 2025-12-09 14:52:19 UTC

When I stepped back into the role of Consul, I was unprepared and knew I'd need a strong team to help guide Vizsla.

When I opened houses, I explicitly asked Val to come out of retirement to lead one. He also had no plans to serve as a leader in the club again, and that speaks to his character. He came back because a friend asked, and because most importantly he was needed.

Val is the mastermind behind the concepts of the Vizsla Bounty Board, Vizsla Seasons (coming soon), and reinvigorating the clan's gaming community. He has spent literal hours on his limited time off from reality to help members earn gaming credit, learn how to play Diablo 4, and be rewarded for their efforts.

As a leader, Val did everything I asked of him. He reviewed activity for awards and promotions. He provided information to his house members on events and activities. But most importantly, he was a leader when Vizsla needed him most. That is the kind of person Val is. He doesn't do what he does for credit, and he'll probably say he doesn't deserve this award.

Fortunately, we all know better.

This award is not enough. Nothing is enough to thank him for everything he has done for Vizsla, and for the DB.

Congrats Val. I appreciate your hard work, genuine candor, and most of all your friendship over the years.

Darth Dracaryis, 2025-12-13 19:42:02 UTC

Valhavoc has been, and remains, a mentor to both me and the wider gaming community. He has frequently reviewed proposed changes on my behalf, providing feedback, clarity, and even his own calculations as the Cluster Review Project has progressed. He has also offered valuable feedback on the Battlepass Project.

Most meaningfully, he conducted a detailed review of the Diablo IV activities and modifiers, making his own recommendations on how to balance and reduce the volume of activities in order to make overall game balance more intuitive and effective.

All of this has been done while he remains active in Gaming Chat, serving as a voice of reason and a source of guidance to the Fists who have followed his tenure.

Thank you, Val, for your continued drive and willingness to contribute to the Club and the gaming community.

Dracaryis is a terrific example of what it means to be a leader. He does not go looking for it, but often finds himself firmly seated within its confines. That was what led to his most recent stint as Consul of Clan Vizsla. Taking on the unenviable task of keeping the clan running in the wake of a tragic loss, Drac did everything that could be expected of him.

In total, since his last recognition, Dracaryis has held multiple positions including a year as an Appeals Panelist, 3 months as Praetor to the Fist, 6 months as Consul, and is currently 6 months into his current term as Right Hand of Justice. In this capacity, Drac has led by example. He organized 35 competitions, while simultaneously participating in 117 competitions. All the while he kept his clan informed with frequent updates in the form of 3 Consul Reports, 2 Supplemental Reports, and open communications regarding hirings and title holders.

On the leadership side of things, Dracaryis has been an active voice in leadership channels and discussions pertaining to his clan and the club at large. A quick search in my inbox shows his name as a constant presence, looking at the state of gaming in the club (something Vizsla is known for) as well as strongly representing the Chamber. His input is always counted on and welcomed. He views himself with a clear lens, knowing before anyone else that his time was up when it came to being Consul and knowing when enough was enough. He is able to hold himself accountable while also caring about the continued legacy of his clan.

On paper, he is an example of doing everything right. The Vizsla summit under Drac is a constant source of activities and attempted engagement with their clan. The spark is being constantly tended to and opportunity is always there for our members to engage with. He empowers his leaders to engage with the clan in a healthy way and is a constant presence in the Cluster mines himself.

I can think of plenty of ways to thank Dracaryis for giving me, in particular, piece of mind when it came to Vizsla's leadership, and this is just one of them. I'm happy to submit for this award, though digital thanks is only the beginning of what I wish for you.

Congratulations, and thank you.

Darth Renatus, 2025-08-29 20:08:46 UTC
Additional reasons

Drac is one of this club's most dedicated and reliable leaders. He is always willing to step up and do what needs to be done, even when he'd really rather not have to. Most recently, he stepped up to lead Vizsla in the aftermath of a tragedy that impacted all of us but hit Drac in an acutely personal way. He didn't have to agree to take on VizCON for a second time, but I knew he would before I even asked.

He's worked hard to keep the clan active and motivated while also planning for a quick succession, and he's accomplished his mission. I can't ask for more. Thank you, Drac, and congrats on just one more ED.

Lord Dacien Victae, 2025-08-29 19:16:20 UTC

Drac has quickly become an extremely trusted advisor for me within the Chamber and lived up to my expectations - specifically, an individual who can be a succinct assessment of a situation.

As such, the phrase "this is nothingcakes" has become a staple within the Chamber as of late. Which should not be seen as being dismissive but rather the conclusion of an individual who researches situations deeply, listens to the perspectives of his peers within the Chamber, and then draws an informed conclusion.

Thankfully, the Chamber has not had any cases come to trial. However, Drac has been kept busy while the chamber has investigated several potential AI utilization situations. One of which led to the publication made by the Chamber helping inform members on AI utilization in fiction.

Further, Drac helped investigate a potential use of AI in a graphic submission which, thankfully, was just a situation of the wrong file being uploaded.

But, most importantly, Drac caught another attempt of a banned member attempting to rejoin the Brotherhood which was resolved quickly.

Drac has exceeded my expectations and I have enjoyed getting to know him better and, despite what this recommendation may be, a little bit better on how to be succinct.

Since his last medal, Mako served six months as Vizsla Proconsul during one of the most difficult periods in the clan's--and the club's--history. When he took the job he couldn't have known that he'd called upon to steer Vizsla through the death of its founder and Consul, but he rose to the challenge and helped his clanmates navigate tragedy. I will always be grateful to Mako for his dedication and his steady hand.

Lord Dacien Victae, 2025-07-27 14:16:17 UTC
Additional reasons

I am glad to be able to recognize Mako for his exceptional service as both Praetor and Magistrate to the Fist. Over the course of his term, Mako demonstrated not only diligence and consistency, but also a commitment to innovation and improving our systems.

Among his accomplishments:

Council Guardsman Accessories Page Revision: Mako overhauled the Council Guardsman Accessories wiki page, including its formatting, updating images, and completing the “awarded to” sections by researching and adding missing dossiers. This update brought a longstanding page up to current standards and made it more useful for members across the club.

Cluster Review Times & Awards Tracker: He created a fully functional tracker for the Cluster Review Times and Awards project. This tool allows staff to log review times and automatically calculate estimated cluster values. It has become a vital reference and resource for internal accountability and award accuracy. Mako also went the extra mile by personally compiling and submitting a significant number of entries.

Approvals: Over his term, he handled a staggering 747 activity approvals—a volume that speaks for itself.

Beyond the numbers, Mako was an essential partner in running the office. He consistently acted as my right hand, helping monitor magistrate activity and pushing key initiatives forward. He was an advocate for improvements and never hesitated to take on additional responsibility or speak up when something needed to change.

Mako’s work has left the Fist office in a better place than he found it, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of recognition for it.

Fist Uji Tameike, 2025-07-25 23:28:08 UTC

I am not well known as someone who is particularly wordy when it comes to award recommendations. Just like Joe Friday, it's normally "just the facts."

In this case, this award is personal. And to that end, I have the potential to write a lot more than normal. So please bear with me.

Mako Henemory is more than deserving of this award. Mako stepped in during Sarin's illness and kept Clan Vizsla going. He didn't ask any questions; he just did the job. Mako led and organized Great Hunt IX, consisting of 11 competitions that he had to grade single-handedly. And since his last award just seven months ago, he has organized over 40 competitions, both for Vizsla and the entire club. He has participated in over 120 events himself, showing that leading is not just about providing, it's about setting the right example.

Most importantly, Mako acted as Consul while Matt was unable to due to his illness. He asked for no special recognition; he just wanted to keep Vizsla going. He provided fiction updates, reports, managed the long list of tasks that Matt had given him, and engaged with members both in and out of the Clan regularly. And when the time came to bring a new Consul in, Mako was there, providing a quick rundown of what the clan was doing and where we needed to focus.

Without Mako, I'd have been more lost than I already am.

When Mako told me he wanted to step away as PCON, I knew that there was nothing I could do or give to him that would be reflective of what he did for Matt, what he did for Vizsla, and what he did for me. I am forever grateful.

And so, it is my absolute privilege to recommend Mako Henemory Ad Vizsla for his first Emerald Dagger.

Congratulations, Mako. And thank you.

In the last seven months, Bale has made an impact on the club that few Heralds achieve in their entire terms. The work of the Herald's Office is, by its nature, highly visible, but the amount of planning, coordination, and effort that it takes to create all of the awesome armor, weapons, warbanners, report headers, and other graphics all happens behind the scenes. For Bale's part, he made 1 robe, 2 weapons, 1 warbanner, 4 accessories, 3 possessions icons, and 6 header graphics on top of reviewing and advising his staff on their own work. He created a new pointed/flat blade effect for lightsabers and designed a new image for the Letter of Reprimand (yay?), but the truly impressive work came in a flurry of activity over the last two or three months:

He designed our brand new 30th Anniversary logo from the ground up, using the old logo as inspiration but working through dozens of drastically different potential designs to land on the modern reimagining we launched recently. On top of all of the work that went on just to get to the point where we had selected the design of the new logo, Bale also spearheaded the identification of all of the uses of the old logo on the site and created dozens of variations of the new logo to replace it--the site header, news banners and report graphics, trophies and possessions, our Discord logo, emoji, and banner, all over the Wiki, and in our site-generated emails to name a few of the more significant.

Once the logo was out the door, he didn't just sit idle. He worked with James to redesign our site-generated email template to be more sleek and modern and to incorporate a very cool new banner prominently displaying the logo, and he worked with his incredible Praetor Alaisy to track down errors in the massive warbanner template .psd file, add new features, and redesign portions of it for better compatibility with the graphics software used by several members of the staff.

Finally, he's been a huge help on the DC in discussions relating to Seasonal planning, the recent XP changes, and the upcoming GMRG battle pass system. In short, he's one of a kind--there's a reason it took us 20 years to replace the logo that he originally designed after the Exodus--and I'm glad he's here. Congrats, Beard, and thanks!

Rhylance has been absurdly active in competitions since his last medal, competing in 374 and winning 159 Diamond Crescents and 72 Ruby plus dozens of other crescents. He's also earned an impressive 158 Clusters of Graphite. He's been active in the ACC as both a participant and as a judge, and took part in seven RP sessions. Congrats!

Since receiving his last medal as Tal Consul in April, Teebu organized an impressive 47 comps, including the multi-phase Sins of an Empire event, participated in 124, wrote over 30k words of fiction--mostly official Clan fictions for Sins of an Empire--and RP, and earned dozens of crescents and clusters. He also helped the other Consuls organize the very successful Pro Bowl VIII, with 120 participants from across the DB. In addition, Teebu maintained a major Discord presence as CON and has constantly looked for ways to improve the club as a whole.

He took up the job of CON under very difficult circumstances and was able to maintain the momentum that Appius had built for Tal. By the end of his term, Tal had a solid roster of reliably active members, in no small part due to Teebu's enthusiasm and encouragement.

Congratulations, Teebu!

Additional reasons

Teebs joined the Herald staff only recently but he did so by hitting the ground running. He created 5 warbanners in quick succession, helping clear out the Trello requests. He is an outstanding team player, super helpful. Case in point, he was willing to redo one of the above warbanners after we updated the template. He regularly participates in Herald discussions. He was also the one who pointed out the missing elements from the Warbanner template, which led to a larger overhaul of the file.

We’re lucky to you, Teebs! I was certain you’d be a great addition to the staff and you did disappoint! Congratulations on your new award!

It was an incredibly fun ride, those months serving as your PCON Teebs! I learned new things in how to effectively entangle a storyline into activities to a higher degree than I had thought possible. Quite a ride we had…

… Or so I thought. Then you kept working as part of the story group. Not even hesitating in your drive to bring enjoyment to the Clan and beyond. You also introduced me into this tight knit family unit I’ve been blessed to become a part of as well.

I’ll keep this short and let the others do the talking in this one… for once… Enjoy the award, you’ve more than earned it!

Since becoming Proconsul and throughout his term as Consul, Teebu was synonymous with Taldryan for me. Whenever I looked at the chat? Teebu. Was there a competition going on for them? Teebu. Roleplays? Teebu!

The dedication and presence he offered within his role is beyond argument, and that's the kind of thing I love to see. He embodied leading from the front and his clan only benefitted from the experience. There's really nothing else I could ask for in a Consul and I'm so glad to thank Teebu for his efforts.

Teebu is a veteran of the Regent’s staff. He’s been forged in the fires of Gsheets and hardened in the bloody fields of the Remand Template. Teebu has proven to be an integral part of our staff and his recognition for his contributions are well overdue.

I’m going to start with the little things Teebs does. The Regent’s staff requires a huge amount of research. Although not everything we research sees the light of day, we still spend hours digging through sourcebooks and wookieepedia. For the Lifeday III event alone, Teebu fleshed out 8 prototypes, with descriptions, pricing and more. He has also contributed to other booster releases with a similar value of prototypes.

But the research doesn’t just stop with new prototypes. Teebu completed a comprehensive review of all Member and Clan vessels, providing system appropriate and canon relevant numbers of passengers as part of our Starship Review. He also included in that review the items that could be expanded into Clan Purchasable items. That is a hand review of over 90 prototypes, in which he completed the research with applicable resources.

The Regent’s staff also operates on a tenant of continuous improvement. To help us get better, and help our system be better, Teebu has completed multiple quality of life updates. One major update that Teebu completed was single-handedly tackling the reformatting and release of the new Starfighter slotting on all Capital ships. He updated more than 55 prototypes, and created the new Hangar upgrades for member corvettes and the reworked upgrade for Clan items. Beyond this Teebu has contributed to a countless number of little updates across a vast array of prototypes. From fixing stocking rules, updating formatting, correcting spelling and grammar.

Teebu is also involved in our various conversations. At one point this month, the Regent’s staff was conducting 3 separate threads for various items we are planning. His contributions on this front are not unnoticed and help us all get together on the same page.

The last thing I am going to talk about is the big one. Crafting. The scope of this project is absolutely monumental. I have been personally working on this project for over 2 years. To be honest, I was starting to get fatigued with it. I couldn’t carry on. I was feeling a bit like Frodo carrying the One Ring to Mount Doom, the burden was getting to heavy to bear. At that moment, Teebu pulled a Samwise Gamgee. He has scooped up the project and carried it on. I cannot understate how vital this was. Teebu has stepped up on this project in a major way and has helped breathe continued life into it.

Not only has he stepped up, he has absolute gone bananarama on it. Since his last medal he has worked through 4 key Item types, developing crafting materials, writing crafting recipes, and price matching. Each of these key item types is different and require unique attention. He was over the 4 item types, this totals to over 601 descriptions and Recipes, 103 unique crafting materials and pricing balancing (THE SINGLE MOST DIFFICULT PART) for all of those items, landing within a single digit % margin of error. AND he set the aspects for all of those prototypes. To add to this, one of the item types Teebu needed to re-work entirely. He tore it down to nuts and bolts and put it back together. All with a smile on his face.

The work he has done on this has moved the progress bar so far along on this project I can’t even put a real value to it. It’s absolutely invaluable how much his contribution has impacted the progress of this project.

I am so proud of how he has stepped up to help in this department. We desperately needed the help and he was there to take it on. This project is HUGE and It simply could not get done if it weren’t for Teebu’s contributions.

Congratulations Teebu, you have more than earned this award!
