Primary reason

Aylin, to me, represents what it means to be at the heart and soul of this community. She's kind, often selfless and willing to do things for people without expecting anything back in return. She was one of the newest additions to the Scions of Taldrya, and it wasn't hard to see why.

A big example of this is the Taldryan Stickets. Aylin created the majority of them herself for no other reason than I asked her if she wouldn't kind. Just like that, she took her expertise to it. It's safe to say those would not have been completed with the speed it was without her. She even proofed 2657 words of fiction in ACC posts just because she wanted to help.

I won't talk anymore about her artwork since good ol' Malfearak/Bale is far more qualified than me for that. However, I can give you some numbers. Since her last award, Aylin has participated in 13 competitions and earned the following awards;

Crescent with Amethyst Star x6

Crescent with Sapphire Star x3

Crescent with Emerald Star x3

Scroll of Foundation x2

I'm honoured to be able to provide Aylin with a Sapphire Blade! Congratulations, Aylin! Thank you forvall your hard work!

Additional reasons

Since she was last rewarded as a member of the Herald’s staff, Aylin has completed 2 robes by herself, 6 robes as part of a team, 1 accessory, and approved 2 avatars. As a result, she has generated 9 high-quality, unique images for the Brotherhood.

She is an integral part of our team and has been instrumental in testing and deploying our new team-based workflow, which allowed us to clear the Herald’s queue in record time and meet member requests in a timely fashion.

Aylin is not only a blessing to have on my team. She is a boon for the entire Brotherhood. She has no reservations about putting her immense talent to the service of her fellow members in and out of the Herald’s office. She’s regularly drawing for fellow members, particularly those cute chibi’s everyone has come to love, and she never asks for something in return, never balks at a request. She may be quiet but she’s a constant, positive presence, always eager to answer my requests.

Thank you for your service, my friend. This Sapphire Blade is but a token of our gratitude for your continued service and immense talent. Well done!

The Dark Brotherhood Covenant formerly established temporary membership to the Star Chamber in 2017. Temporary membership in the Star Chamber requires senior Dark Jedi Brotherhood members who have shown an inherent desire to improve and protect the Dark Brotherhood. Temporary members are required to show high levels of discretion on topics ranging from the approval of a Grand Master to approving major club changes.

The Dark Brotherhood has been blessed to have several members serve in this role and do so with distinction. The following actions took place under the temporary member’s terms:

  1. The ratification of the Electorate’s Vote on two Grand Masters and three Justicars.
  2. Discussion and Approval of redefining the roles of Clan Leaders in our Club’s voting processes and the amendment of a Covenant Article to redefine the procedures for abstaining from Electorate level voting.
  3. The discussion and approval of moving the recruitment Tribune to a DC level position and thus expanding the Electorate DC votes to 9.
  4. The discussion on time sensitive leadership decisions to include the removal of summit level leaders for cause.
  5. Discussion and Approval of the Shadow Academies restructuring and the updating of the Headmaster’s Duties and Responsibilities.
  6. The reception, commentary, and vote of confidence in two different Grand Master’s club wide updates to the Star Chamber.
  7. A discussion and ultimately concurrence with the Grand Master on the process for new recruits entering the Dark Brotherhood. The aggressive downvoting of Sarin’s idea to put all new recruits in the Emissary’s Clan until they reach a certain rank (lols).
  8. Discussion and concurrence on the creation of a new Role Play society and its synergistic impact on multiple DJB systems and processes.
  9. Concurrence with the removal of the traditional Roll Master within the club.
  10. Maintaining exceptional decorum, maturity, and discretion while serving on the Star Chamber.
  11. Discussion and concurrence on updated crafting and possessions systems within the club. Gentlemen, thank you for your support to our club, your participation in club-changing events and systems, and your overall commitment to the Dark Brotherhood.

Since his last medal, Gui has organized 20 competitions and participated in 35, earning a handful of crescents, 163 CFs, 14 CIs, and 12 CGs. For the last four months, he has served as COU Consul. In that time, he helped to organize the The Power Within event, a four-week set of competitions for COU, and also led two RPs as DM. So far this year, COU has gained a couple of new members and achieved the impressive feat of having 100% of its current members participate in at least one competition for the first quarter of the year.

Gui had a tough act to follow when Revak resigned, but he hit the ground running and has done a great job getting the clan engaged. Congrats, Gui!

Additional reasons

These last four months have been a rollercoaster, Gui. I came into this role with minimal knowledge of how systems were run and did my best to keep up and you were quick to take a place as mentor and teach me what you understood of the systems, how things operated, and how we were expected to run the Clan. For what it’s worth, I know you’ve saved Arch from a lot of stress and plucked feathers when I was finally able to quit asking as many questions. Over these last few months, we've gotten to see the unshakeable spirit of COU as we pulled everything together, you’ve crafted and implemented a new core storyline for the Clan from the void we were left in, leaving the Archivist and me with room to work on extant ideas and future storylines in conjunction, as we persevered through the changing of the guard and laid solid foundations to build the Clan's future. Throughout this time you've had your own ups and downs, from life throwing you a few hardships to the joy of Bouncing Baby #3, and still, you've been dedicated to the Clan throughout.

We made quick friends after both throwing our hats in for the CON position, and I'm glad you chose me to be your PCON because it gave me the chance to be a part of building my original clan back up. Your quick wit and well-timed jokes always got a laugh out of me, and when I had my own problems you were one of the first people to check up on me. You've led COU not just from a mechanical standpoint, but you do your best to care for your Clan as people, which has definitely left an impression.

You’ve spearheaded several of our Clan Projects as well as revamped storyline, reorganized our efforts, you’ve assisted greatly in others, taken a grand role alongside Waza in turning our Proving Grounds project into a working success, and assisted throughout the COU Wiki Project we’re still gathering data for (damned unlinked, stub, and repeat articles), and you’ve been instrumental in laying the basis for our members to become more involved throughout the community, Mr. Haiku. Your torrent of Poetry has not gone unnoticed. Along all of this, you’re one of our more active socialites, contrasted to my reserved takeaway to general conversation. If there isn’t a conversation, you make one, because, in your eyes, quiet is a bad thing.

Ever onwards, my friend.

Windos has been a portent of Odan-Urr's activity in recent months, continually blazing their way through competitions. A true believer of March Madness, Windos took part in over 100 Competitions this March alone. Since their last recognition, Windos took part in 150 Competitions, 123 excluding containers, earning 1 Crescent with a Diamond Star, 2Crescents with Ruby Stars, 6 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 7 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 4 Crescents with Emerald Stars, and 15 Clusters of Graphite. Not one to brag about their achievements, when their efforts and achievements are pointed out he's always returned with a joking demeanor and pushed for others to just "Do the things", because they never know what they could achieve in doing so.

I'm glad to award you with this Sapphire Blade for your contributions to Odan-Urr and our enduring spirit, Windos.

Ever Onward!

Socks has been Vizsla CON for about three months. In that time, she has organized a quick series of "Define that Word" comps for Viszla, along with way, way too many puzzles for the club as a whole. During her first quarter as Consul, Viszla's participation in competitions has been very strong: nearly 78% of Vizsla's members have participated in at least one competition, and most of those participants have submitted to dozens of competitions each (some have been in the hundreds!) The clan has also gained a net four members in that period.

Congrats, Socks!

Socorra has been Magistrate to the Herald for three months and has become an integral part of the team. She is always ready with sound advice and has a solid handle on the workings of the office. Even before she joined the staff, she stepped up to help Rian with his holiday release. She has since created 4 custom robes and 1 custom weapon, generating a total of 19 unique images. She has also approved 3 avatars, ran one Herald-approved art competition, supported her fellow staff members on their projects, and helped members meet policy requirements.

It is a pleasure to have you on my team. Congratulations on your excellent work and your sapphire blade!

Ellac. He's more machine now than man.

That's an accurate description.

Since his last recognition, he has competed in 56 competitions, participated in 7 RP events as a player, run 1 as a DM and completed 3 regular fictions. He's passed 6 SA courses and gamed 10 times. He's even done an ACC Battle! He has ranked up in societies 11 times and has a handful of crescents to show for it.

What has really impressed me is Ellac taking on the role of QUA. Ellac has been QUA of House Caliburnus for 5 months. While the first few months were full of many learning opportunities, tired evenings, and balancing work and life, Ellac has gotten his feet under him and is beginning to stride forward on his own power. It has been some time since Ellac was last awarded, but his recent work has shown his dedication to the Empire.

Ellac is routinely engaged in our Summit discussions, where he has made recommendations for an upcoming event that will follow our Chapter 2 Narrative Campaign and focus heavily on the ACC. He and I will be working together to see that come to life, but the foundation was all laid by Ellac. Ellac has also helped contribute to the repository of Competition ideas that the CSP Summit uses to pick from as we run our weekly events and I have used in coordinating our larger narrative events. Essentially, we have a running list with Last I checked there were still 5 unused competition ideas ready to be implemented in the future, at least 5 previous ideas have already been made into already ran competitions by Ellac or myself. Originating the ideas for these competitions helps the entire Summit streamline the process of maintaining a healthy stable of competitions for CSP Members to participate in. Instead of having to come up with an idea on the fly, we can choose from the catalogue of ideas and then just type it up. Ellac's contributions in that department have been very helpful.

As I worked towards publishing Chapter 2, Ellac along with Kah'ri has picked up some of the slack and prepared a list of medals to be awarded for our quarterly review. Becoming familiar with how XP works and how to properly award medals and promotions is an essential part of being a leader. More importantly, this little effort makes my job easier. Ellac has submitted several medal and promotion requests, run several competitions (Ellac has 2 under his belt with another 2 set to finish this weekend), advertised those competitions in our discord server, and he's also stepped up to help dissolve a conflict situation before it could come to a big ugly head. All of these things are a part of the regular day to day for leaders with the DB. But with Ellac stepping up to do those things has been doing the little things that help lighten my load as Consul and allows me to focus on other areas and has really meshed well with the team we have built.

Ellac has also taken up a project for the Empire. He has undertaken a pretty monumental task of going through all of CSP's possessions cataloguing which items do not have custom aspects. He has presently compiled 25 item aspects and is working towards completing the list across more than just the Planetary possessions. Although the project is not yet complete, Ellac's contribution will help add some very real depth to our fictional galaxy.

The best part is, Ellac is doing so autonomously, like some kind of sentient mostly-robot. I don't need to yell at him to do things, he takes the initiative, knows the expectations and he executes on it. He's developing as a leader. He is an excellent team member and a valued part of my staff.

It is always a pleasure to see people grow in leadership roles and I am so glad to see Ellac developing into this role. I extend a firm congratulations and a "Drinks are on you!" . Keep up the great work Ellac!

Elaine is a core member of CSP. Her presence is a great boon to Clan Scholae Palatinae.

In many ways, she's like the little sister I never had. She has a great sense of humor and is an integral member of our community.

Since her last recognition, Elaine has participated in 70 competitions, Earned 21 Crescents, completed 4 RPs, wrote a fiction, been involved in gaming, passed 2 courses in the shadow academy and ranked up in societies 6 times and has a hand full of Clusters to boot. Now planted firmly in the Equite ranks, Elaine maintains a diverse schedule of activities. She's racked up the XPs to prove it.

But, as an Equite Elaine has also taken to helping the Clan in otherways. Recently, Elaine has developed a penchant for AI art. She voluntarily worked on portraits for several members of the Clan. She asked nothing in return, but was just willing to help. Being a picky person, when it came to my character's portraits, she had to do several extra iterations. But the result was two nearly perfect rendtitions of my character.

So, having honed her robot wrangling skills she was turned loose on the vast list of CSP's Planetary Assets. While the project is ongoing, Elaine has spent a great deal of time generating art for the Clan to use as inspiration while writing about our local star system. So Far in this project, I have over 23 polished AI generated pieces of artwork that we can use to help our members visualize the system that our characters inhabit. Elaine has polished the prompts and reworked items to get some really cool looking pieces.

It is awesome to see members get excited and passionate about something. Elaine's excitement and interest in AI art has undoubtedly helped us to build a more in-depth and believable fictional setting for our characters.

I am so proud of all the work she's put in and am happy to say: Congratulations! Keep up the Great work Elaine!
