She opened the door and stepped into the dark room. The air smelled of mold and decay. K'tana let her eyes adjust to the dimness and the contrasting light flooding in from the hallway.

Feeling her way to the bed and flopping face down onto it, K'tana's heaved a sigh and tried to sleep. She had only closed her eyes for a moment when a pungent smell began to overwhelm her senses. Something old, moldy and cloyingly sweet. Like the scent of freen fruit after it had grown rotten and mushy.

Then the cold sensations started, causing her to freeze in place and hold her breath. It began like a gentle hand, working its way up her leg to her thigh. But as the pressure increased so did the cold sensation, causing shivers to crawl down her body.

Regaining control over herself, she rolled to the side and flicked on the lamp. The Twi'lek shook as she took in the horrific sight before her.

“Jaek?” she gasped in a choked breath as her lungs began to burn. His cold blue eyes were dead and empty. His charred skin cracked and oozing, with pieces of flesh hanging from his body in wet chunks. He smiled wickedly as he pressed his decaying flesh against hers, causing a gag to smother her scream of horror.

Her mind snapped as she froze in place as the dead man’s burned, mutilated and decaying body inched closer to hers.
