Droideka

The Droideka, also known as a Destroyer Droid, is a Combat Droid designed to exterminate adversaries with extreme prejudice. They had an arched body, walking on three legs with two arms that each featured a dual repeating blaster cannon. They could transform their shape by curling into a ball, traveling up to seventy-five kilometers per hour across a surface. When standing on their legs they could deploy a powerful polarized and phased deflector shield using a generator integrated into their bodies, allowing their own attacks to travel out, but render sidearms or blasters ineffective. Their shields were ineffective against slow or stationary objects, and they are blind from behind. The Colicoid Creation Nest applied the same design characteristics of the Droideka to build the Scorpenek.
