The FM1 Plasmacaster is a highly modified Special Blaster. Instead of firing a single bolt, this blaster fires a "plasma bolo", two energy bolts connected by a "cord" of plasma. The projectile spins horizontally, creating a 1-meter-wide arc of plasma, capable of severely damaging organic and inorganic material alike. The bolos move slowly, relative to a blaster bolt, but carry far greater energy. This weapon is effective at close to medium ranges, but combat effectiveness falls off at longer ranges.
