The Shadow Academy Platform is a 2,000-meter diameter torus-shaped station designed with docking towers on three sides and an administrative and observation building on the fourth. It is armed with forty heavy turbolaser batteries, as well as ten tractor beam projectors that allow it to lock onto and move other vessels or objects. It has shielding and hull strength similar to that of modern star destroyer class ships though by design its countless docking towers and hangars serve gaps in its otherwise strong hull. It also has space for two squadrons of starfighters in defense in addition to docking for countless shuttles. The administrative and observation building is designed to navigate its way to the surface of the planet below if necessary and dock to the stationary Shadow Academy facilities on the surface, though in doing so would leave the rest of the station in orbit as a full loss as it fell out of orbit and is done so only in an emergency. The station was designed and constructed for the Shadow Academy of the Dark Brotherhood upon their settlement on Arx as a primary hub of admissions and processing into the Academy itself.
