Prototype: BD-unit Backpack Droid
The BD-unit Backpack Droid is a small bipedal droid designed to assist with research and exploration in remote and dangerous locations. It has a flat rectangular head with two photoreceptors, a small body, and two legs with clampable feet, allowing it to climb a person's body or other surfaces and traverse many different kinds of terrain . It is equipped with various tools; including a holocam and holoprojector, computer link, and a spotlight.
An improved sensor suite has been installed inside the droid brain of BD-43, allowing a much wider scanning area than a standard BD-unit Backpack Droid.
BD-43 has developed a personality revolving around analytics with no room for imagination. This results in a myriad of statistics and rules of logic being delivered routinely. Such a personality can be grating on others, and often is greeted with annoyance.
BD-43 has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though BD-unit Backpack Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
BD-43 has been fitted with an advanced gravity generator with an unregulated governor, allowing this BD-unit Backpack Droid to create an incredibly powerful gravity swell that increases the weight of an enemy and dramatically slows an enemy.
