Prototype: BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid
The BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid is a modified version of the BD-unit Backpack Droid. It has been fitted with additional tools and resources such as a macrobinocular "BD Vision" mode that allows a person to look through their photoreceptors and highlight targets and destinations, a stim dispenser, a thruster for hovering and quick bursts, a droid hacking matrix, and more powerful computer access and slicing link.
BD-NE has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
BD-NE has been programmed to serve its owner without question. Acting much like a butler, BD-NE will act for the most part in silence, and will adhere to the literal definition of its instructions to the best of its abilities.
An experimental automated repair system has been installed on this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system slows the droid while it assesses any necessary repairs when dealing with heavy damage, and can perform very basic tasks or actions while assessing necessary repairs.
BD-NE has been fitted with a built-in SCOMP link, allowing this BD-unit "Survivor Edition" Backpack Droid to slice into various types of terminals and droids.
