The DUM-series Pit Droid is a cheap, durable model of repair droid featuring the ability to fold into a compact form when not in use. It is bipedal in design with three-fingered pincer hands as well as a hat shaped head with a single photosensor that resembles a large nose. The compact form can be toggled by tapping their "nose".
Chip has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though DUM-series Pit Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
Chip has developed a personality focused around the superiority of droids. As a result, Chip will often question any orders it receives and will not hesitate to present its own alternatives. While still capable of following orders as directed, Chip will not comply without at least a partial debate.
