Prototype: Mabari Steelweave Armor
Originally designed by the Mabari people for use by their warrior knights, the Mabari Steelweave Armor was capable of providing a high-degree of protection against energy-based weaponry but minimal protection from kinetic attacks. The armor consists of a helmet, chestplate, gloves and a metal kama-style skirt. During the Galactic Civil War, it was used primarily by spacers and mercenaries. The Bounty Hunter Zam Wesell was known to have worn a set of this armor during the time of the Clone Wars.
Mabari Steelweave Armor has been imprinted with the emblem of it's owners unit. The design is large and easy to see, implemented in such a way as to draw attention to it through changes in texture and an intelligent use of border color.
