The Golan III Space Defense Platform is a 2,600-meter long Military Station designed with superior offensive and defensive capabilities relative to its predecessor to defend some of the highest-value targets in the galaxy and hold up to 5,000 metric tons of cargo. It is greatly armed with fifty heavy turbolaser batteries, fifty heavy ion cannon emplacements, fifty point-defense laser turrets and twenty-four proton torpedo launchers as well as fifteen tractor beam projectors that allow it to lock onto and move other vessels or objects. It has shielding and hull strength similar to that of a modern star destroyer class ship as well as space for four squadrons of starfighters, two in each expanded hangar on either end of the platform. It is a match for some of the most well-armed destroyers in the galaxy, finding use throughout the galaxy by those who can afford it.
