The BB Unit is an astromech droid with a domed head and spherical body. This droid can fit into the droid socket of a starfighter and features multiple attachments such as shock arms and welding torches.

Predatory Inclination (Droid Personality)

BB Unit Astromech Droid has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, BB Unit Astromech Droid will often approach a situation with the mind set of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to BB Unit Astromech Droid.

BB Hate (Droid Cosmetic)

Niny is not a BB-8 but rather a First Order created BB-9E. He exchanged his R2-like domed head for a squared off head not dissimilar to the R6 models. Niny's chassis remains spherical, but he traded a white body with orange circles for the black body with silver circles that 9E model is known for. His sensor is a more noticeable red than the BB-8. He is well taken care of with regular maintenance but is obviously not factory fresh, possessing minor dings and dents in different areas.
