The BTL-A4 Y-Wing Starfighter is a 16.2-meter-long Starfighter designed as an assault fighter to carry heavy weapons packages with the purpose of destroying capital ships. Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has poor maneuverability and speed, with average armor and heavy shielding. It can be equipped with an astromech droid for improved navigation and in-flight maintenance. The Y-Wing saw extensive use by the Rebel Fleet even as late as the Battle of Jakku due to their availability and versatility.
