The IG-100 MagnaGuard is a battle droid designed to combat Jedi opponents through the use of an electrostaff. It is humanoid in design and extremely adaptable, capable of fighting through the loss of limbs and even its head.
IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this IG-100 MagnaGuard to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.
IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" has been modified from standard design parameters to be fitted with reinforced plating. As a result, when compared side by side with the standard IG-100 MagnaGuard, IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" is found to be more durable while its ability to move has been inhibited.
IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" has had its programs re-written and mechanical systems hard-wired for combat operations. This augmentation gives this IG-100 MagnaGuard a significant increase in combat efficiency in eliminating targets on behalf of Lynnyaria Meraudstar, but at the expense of it being usable for much else except for combat.
IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" has developed a quirked personality, granting it an inclination towards heavy doses of sarcasm when engaged in dialogue. As a result, IG-100 AB-4 "Vigil" comes across as having issues taking direction and developed a reputation for 'snark'.
