The 2-1B Medical Droid is a humanoid droid with a translucent torso sheath that leaves many of its internal components visible. This model's arms feature joints designed for exceptional articulation along with servogrip pincers at the end of each limb. They can be equipped with various arm attachments to meet their tasks.

Automated Repair (Droid Modification)

2-1B Surgical Droid has received advanced automated repair programming based on the original 2-1B Surgical Droid schematics, giving it an ability to perform or assist in the performance of self-diagnosis and self-repair of its mechanical systems. This system engages automatically upon damage, and can render the droid temporarily unavaialble while it assesses any necessary repairs before further action can be taken.

The Caretaker (Droid Personality)

2-1B Surgical Droid has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of its owner to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in 2-1B Surgical Droid often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
