Prototype: Lightsaber Pike
The Lightsaber Pike is a variant of the lightsaber weapon with two shorter plasma blades than that of a standard double-bladed lightsaber. The blades are emitted from an elongated staff like hilt, on one or both sides depending on design. It is powered by crystals that determine the characteristics and color and is capable of cutting through virtually anything including blast doors given enough time.
With a hilt about six feet in length and a singular yellow blade, this silver and black lightsaber pike could be more likened to a spear or glaive than common, double-bladed alternative designs. An adjustable sling allows the weapon to be easily carried and hung over a shoulder.
This lightsaber is equipped with an ionizing emitter matrix for use against droid units that may be capable of fighting through lost limbs or chassis pieces. The ionization funneled into the blade works to fry circuits in the periphery of a strike.
This lightsaber has been built with watertight casing and seals, allowing it to be submerged in water without damage to the internal components.
