Prototype: Shoto Lightsaber
The Shoto Lightsaber is a lightsaber variant with a shorter plasma blade than normal lightsabers, emitted from a hilt and powered by crystals that determine the characteristics and color. It is useful as both an offensive and defensive weapon depending on the skill of the one wielding it. Capable of cutting through virtually anything including blast doors given enough time.
Shoto Lightsaber has a simple dark gray cylindrical hilt set with knurled circles to assist in gripping the weapon, with a clasp at the base to attach the weapon, and a bright red blade when activated.
This lightsaber has been built with watertight casing and seals, allowing it to be submerged in water without damage to the internal components.
This lightsaber has been fitted with a slave circuit, allowing it to call a pre-designated starship or land vehicle to its location.
