The TIE Advanced x1 is a 9.2-meter long Starfighter designed for space superiority. Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has high maneuverability and speed, with average armor and heavy shielding. The fighter was an improvement over the standard TIE/LN design with greatly improved defense including deflector shield generators and life support systems. Produced by Sienar Fleet Systems, it was the most advanced starfighter in use by the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Yavin. Darth Vader flew a heavily modified version for his personal use during the Rebellion's assault on the Death Star.
