The BD-3000 Luxury Droid is a protocol droid used most notably in high-end entertainment establishments and in the care of wealthy patrons. This droid is a sign of wealth and is designed to appear lavish and stylized. It is capable of providing basic serving functions.
BD-3000 "Nessy" has had additional memory installed that increases its computing power. This allows it to perform complex analytical operations at a marginally faster rate, but limits the ability to further customize the BD-3000 Luxury Droid in any other way.
BD-3000 "Nessy" has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker. It has assumed the needs of Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor to be its prime directive, even such tasks that have not been requested of it. This results in BD-3000 "Nessy" often flitting about in an attempt to meet any possible task before it is necessary, including menial tasks.
BD-3000 "Nessy" has been altered to appear more as a token of wealth than your typical BD-3000 Luxury Droid. Silver paint has been applied to the droid's exterior, allowing for accented gold plating in order to create a contrast and draw attention to the supposed credit value the droid represents.
