Prototype: R3-series Astromech Droid
The R3-series Astromech Droid is a successor to the popular line of R2 astromech droids with faster processing abilities designed to fit in the droid socket of any starfighter. It is commonly designed with a domed or tapered code head, with a cylindrical core in addition to a base, retractable tread leg and two main legs. It has multiple appendages and attachments within its compartments, such as shock prods, welding torches, and is equipped with a holoprojector and a periscope that has a probe function which is usable in space.
R3-B5 "Beeps" has developed a personality focused around the superiority of droids. As a result, R3-B5 "Beeps" will often question any orders it receives and will not hesitate to present its own alternatives. While still capable of following orders as directed, R3-B5 "Beeps" will not comply without at least a partial debate.
Ulfsark has painstakingly cared for this R3-series Astromech Droid, and even upon close examination it appears as though R3-B5 "Beeps" was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
R3-B5 "Beeps" has been equipped with small rocket boosters proportionate to its size, allowing this R3-series Astromech Droid to fly in sustained flight up to 5-meters in height and requires 2 minutes in cooldown between bursts to prevent overheating.
