The Scatter Gun is a powerful low-velocity slugthrower weapon that fires sprays of solid pellets that are lethal in close-quarters combat, capable of penetrating deflector shields and hitting multiple targets with each shot. It found use during the Galactic Civil War by soldiers on both sides, as well as backwater worlds where slugthrower weapons were more prevalent.
