Spotter has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this KX-series Security Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.

Spotter normally accepts all its given commands without question, acting much like a silent butler and adhering to the specifics of its instructions to the best of its abilities. However, should the KX-series Security Droid's sensors or available information input detect its assigned targets, Ruka or Corazon Tenbriss Ya-ir, have become incapacitated or unconscious in dangerous conditions, its primary protocol overrides the servant subroutine. Spotter becomes predatory, ruthless to any object or individual in its way as it seeks to complete its only task: extract and evacuate its targets to a non-threatening location and contact its programmed master. It will refuse all other attempted commands, even going so far as to restrain or incapacitate its targets to comply with its main directive, and persist to its destruction.

This KX-series Security Droid has been fitted with a small extendable fusion cutter, enabling the ability to cut through heavy metals and small blast doors given enough time.

This KX-series Security Droid has had most of its combat protocols wiped and replaced with piloting protocols, providing Spotter with the astrogation ability to serve as a basic combat pilot or gunner.
