The LOM-series Protocol Droid is a model of protocol droid designed to interact with insectile species as opposed to the more common humanoid design. Its humanoid form is common of protocol droids, but with large compound eyes more familiar to insectoid races. It is programmed with a specialized vocabulator and an encyclopedic knowledge of languages and cultural information of insectoid races.
Utilis Innovations has painstakingly cared for this LOM-series Protocol Droid, and even upon close examination it appears as though LOM-series Protocol Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
LOM-series Protocol Droid has developed a personality around the concept of a caretaker.
