The B1 Battle Droid is a tall, thin humanoid framed battle droid manufactured widely during the Clone Wars. Its humanoid frame allowed the droids to operate a range of machinery, vehicles, and weapons while programmed to never surrender proving unquestionably loyal. The base model, however, had limited armoring, and simple programming, making them incapable of independent thought and vulnerable in basic one on one combat. Manufactured in mass by Baktoid Combat Automata and Baktoid Armor Workshop.
SP45 has developed a quirked personality, granting it an inclination towards heavy doses of sarcasm when engaged in dialogue. As a result, SP45 comes across as having issues taking direction and developed a reputation for 'snark'.
SP45 could be said to have seen better days. Looking more like the result of a scavenging run than a fully functioning B1 Battle Droid, its plating is missing in several key locations which leaves its internal circuitry exposed. Wiring flows out of the main chassis before snaking its way back under the next panel along its path. Servos and non-critical systems are laid bare for all to see, but SP45 retains its functionality despite this.
SP45 has been equipped with an explosive arsenal, oriented around siege tactics as opposed to precision strikes. As a result, SP45 is more volatile to incoming attacks.
