The Double-bladed Lightsaber, or Saberstaff, is a lightsaber weapon with a blade emitting from both ends of the hilt. Both plasma blades were powered by crystals in the hilt that determined their characteristics and color. The twin blades double the opportunity for both attacking and defending, making it a useful offensive and defensive weapon depending on the skill of the one who wields it. Both blades are capable of cutting through virtually anything, including blast doors, if given enough time.
This lighsaber has been built with reinforced materials, allowing it to withstand greater damage before becoming inoperable.
This lightsaber is equipped with an attachment wired directly into the lightsaber's power supply that allows the blade to draw power from other blades it may make contact with, at the risk of overloading and shutting down momentarily.
The hilt of this Double-bladed Lightsaber has been carved from a two-foot bone with a knuckle-joint at either end that was harvested from a Canyon Krayt dragon. The electrical components have been slotted into the hollowed out center. The activation switch is made from polished tooth. The majority of the hilt is wrapped in supple, pebbled black leather from the same beast.
