Prototype: Conversion Hilt Lightsaber
The Conversion Hilt Lightsaber is a variant of the lightsaber weapon. It has plasma blades powered by crystals in the hilt that determine their characteristics and color, as well as a hilt that can convert from one form to another allowing multiple configurations. These blades are capable of cutting through virtually anything including blast doors given enough time.

Archangel Palpatine has modified their Conversion Hilt Lightsaber so that Conversion Hilt Lightsaber - "Alberigo and Zanche" is two separate, single bladed lightsabers that can also be joined together to form a double-bladed lightsaber. They are also capable of being separated again.
This lightsaber has been built using lightweight materials, rendering it lighter and easier to wield than a typical lightsaber hilt.
This lightsaber has been fitted with a lock-on switch, allowing the blade to be locked in the on-position and requiring another push of the activation button to deactivate.
