The Geejaw are reptavians from Endor. These small red flying creatures possessed the capacity to mimic sounds fairly well. Their capacity for mimicry often confused people into believing that they were sentient, and made them prized as pets.

Tameable

Echo is wild by nature, but has had its behavior modified to accept the presence of humanoids by an intervention. It is trained against its wild instincts to accept humanoids. As creature handling goes up, a member can better empathize, train, and manage this creature's behavior. Untrained (+0), this creature will do whatever it wants and one would be helpless to understand why, with its natural disposition taking over. As creature handling skills improve, a member can understand, care for, and better influence this creature with full control achieved with mastery (+5) of creature handling.

Contradictory Curiosity (Creature Personality)

A creature of contradictions, Echo plays a role somewhere between pet, research assistant, and emotional support animal. He spends most days close to Corinna, perched on a nearby shelf or her shoulder whether in her office, on her ship, or out and about (except in situations he may be in harm's way). His persistent mimicry often reveals the environment they share: the startup chime of a datapad, the hiss of a door opening, chirped academic words like "citation." Despite his relentless curiosity, Echo is hesitant to interact with humanoids he does not know—even as he stares at them with interest.

Scarface (Creature Cosmetic)

Echo is not a particularly handsome geejaw. One wing sits slightly askew from a poorly healed fracture he sustained before Corinna found her, his torso features several small scars, and his beak is a little misshapen. What others might view as flaws endears the animal to Corinna, who finds him ever so cute.
