Orion

Prototype: Arx Wolf

Slotted in: Menagerie

The Arx Wolf are quadrupedal, canine creatures with long bushy tails, tapered ears, and a pointed muzzle containing sharp teeth. They are native to the Elos Vrai mountain ranges found on Arx. They have impressive jaw strength and enhanced sense of smell. Natural apex predators, they are larger and more intelligent than the average Wolf.

They are distant cousins and nearly identical to the Cythraul.

Granted Aspect: Tameable (Tameability Category)

Tameable

Orion is wild by nature, but has had its behavior modified to accept the presence of humanoids by an intervention. It is trained against its wild instincts to accept humanoids. As creature handling goes up, a member can better empathize, train, and manage this creature's behavior. Untrained (+0), this creature will do whatever it wants and one would be helpless to understand why, with its natural disposition taking over. As creature handling skills improve, a member can understand, care for, and better influence this creature with full control achieved with mastery (+5) of creature handling.

Purebred (Creature Cosmetic)

Orion, the faithful companion to Huntress Artemis Edraven, has a coat that is pure white. His eyes are a very pale shade of blue. Due to this, Orion tends to stand out in environments that are not typically snowy.

Go Your Own Way (Creature Personality)

Orion seems to have their own agenda when it comes to deciding who or what to follow. They do not fall into the typical “Alpha” or “Beta” nature’s, which can either make them amiably agreeable or differentially despondent. As a result, it’s hard to generally get a read on Orion’s mood or feelings on a particular matter making them something of a wildcard.

Just Right (Creature Physical)

Orion is the average size and body mass for a Arx Wolf, with a balanced build for mobility agility, and power.
