Prototype: ARC-170 Starfighter
The ARC-170 Starfighter is a 12.71-meter long Starfighter with S-foils designed for lengthy deep-space missions and intense combat. Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has average maneuverability, speed, armor, and shielding. It can be equipped with an astromech droid for improved navigation and in-flight maintenance. Officially called the "Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter", it was developed for the Republic as a successor to the Clone Z-95 starfighter and saw use through the latter half of the Clone Wars and early years of the Galactic Empire before being phased out in favor of TIE/LN starfighters. Its S-foil design inspired Incom's later X-wing designs.
