Prototype: Conversion Hilt Lightsaber
The Conversion Hilt Lightsaber is a variant of the lightsaber weapon. It has plasma blades powered by crystals in the hilt that determine their characteristics and color, as well as a hilt that can convert from one form to another allowing multiple configurations. These blades are capable of cutting through virtually anything including blast doors given enough time.
There is nothing special about this lightsaber beyond the fact that it was designed as a longer hilt saberstaff. The grips modified into two fully separate, identical hilts that connect to one another at the pommel; it produces two shoto-length blades of the traditional pale yellow.
Cassiopeia Werd'la has modified their Conversion Hilt Lightsaber so that Conversion Hilt Lightsaber is two separate, single bladed lightsabers that can also be joined together to form a double-bladed lightsaber. They are also capable of being separated again.
This lightsaber has been built with watertight casing and seals, allowing it to be submerged in water without damage to the internal components.
This lightsaber is equipped with a cell recognizer and booby trap, harming any unauthorized signature who tries to activate it by sending an energy discharge through the hand for as long as they hold the lightsaber.
