Prototype: Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor
The Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor is a variant of Mandalorian Armor that shares the same style as its lighter counterparts but is built more heavily. It consists of a helmet, shoulder pauldrons, wrist gauntlets, breastplate, codpiece, knee pads, as well as leg guards all clasped over a full-body glove that provides both comfort and protection. The helmet possesses an iconic T-shaped visor as well as an antenna tipped with a macrobinocular rangefinder that can be pulled over the viewplate. The armor is constructed of durasteel, and is able to be pressurized via a toggle to allow the wearer to survive in space, toxic atmospheres, and under water.
The helmet of this Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor has been fitted with a Multi-Frequency Target Acquisition System (MFTAS), allowing the user to track and scan for multiple enemy targets. The MFTAS can calculate the outcomes of various tactics in a compressed time via computer models. Telemetry data including atmospheric conditions, the user's ammo count, unit member distance and individual ID tags, firing solutions, and tactical information is displayed around the peripheral of the user's field range for ease of use while keeping the center view unobstructed.
Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor has been fitted with an integrated sensor telemetry pod emitting active signals programmed to bounce and return, providing accurate environmental data to feed to the user's Multi-Frequency Target Acquisition System should they have one, and back to a command center through encrypted telemetry.
A basic self-repair system has been integrated into this Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor, slightly reducing the amount of time spent on Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor's maintenance by allowing the armor to passively repair minor damage over a long duration of time.
Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor has been fitted with an advanced energy dispersion system and large energy sinks, allowing this Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor to completely soak up stun and electrical discharge.
Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor has been constructed with a reinforced exterior and fitted with seals to allow the wearer of the Mandalorian Heavy Infantry Armor to safely pass through Class III and IV atmospheres from orbit, with slight resistance to electrical and ion storms.
