Prototype: BT-16 Perimeter Droid
The BT-16 Perimeter Droid is a large, spider-like droid manufactured by Arakyd Industries. It is equipped with a variety of sensor packages including a seismic reader and a motion detector. It is also armed with a repeating blaster cannon, a communication module, and a vocabulator capable of droid languages.
BT-16 Perimeter Droid has been fitted with a built-in comlink, allowing it to access and communicate over various communications networks without additional gear.
BT-16 Perimeter Droid has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, BT-16 Perimeter Droid will often approach a situation with the mind set of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to BT-16 Perimeter Droid.
BT-16 Perimeter Droid has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though BT-16 Perimeter Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.
