An advanced toolkit has been integrated into R2-X8, allowing it to perform sophisticated and large-scale repairs on other droids or technology.

R2-X8 has been fitted with advanced radiation redundancies and seals, preventing any serious damage when exposed but requiring the droid to operate at a reduced capacity or risk permanent damage.

R2-X8 has been painstakingly cared for, and even upon close examination it appears as though R2-series "Rebellion Edition" Astromech Droid was freshly off the manufacturing line. Absent of any scratches, dents or even the slightest imperfections, the only thing missing is the new droid smell.

R2-X8 has developed a quirked personality, granting it an inclination towards heavy doses of sarcasm when engaged in dialogue. As a result, R2-X8 comes across as having issues taking direction and developed a reputation for 'snark'.
