The Lightwhip is a heavily modified and specialized lightsaber variant that utilizes multiple flexible plasma blades in flexible containment shields two to several meters in length through the use of multiple, small emitters. Due to the blades' flexibility, they require more care of use than a traditional lightsaber to prevent the user from losing a limb, and have less cutting power than their regular counterparts. Lightwhips are particularly associated with the Nightsisters of Dathomir, but have been known to be used by other Force traditions. Like other whip-type weapons, skill with the Lightwhip is dependent on the user's Miscellaneous Weapons skill.
This attachment allows a weapon to resist the effects of a specific environment, such as ionization or acid rain which may damage the functions of the weapon.
Lightwhip has a simple dark gray cylindrical hilt set with knurled circles to assist in gripping the weapon, with a clasp at the base to attach the weapon, and a bright green blade when activated.
This lighsaber has been built with reinforced materials, allowing it to withstand greater damage before becoming inoperable.
