Hyperdrive capable, this vessel has exceptional maneuverability and great speed, with heavy armor and shielding. The non-standardized and ad-hoc nature of Rebel starfighter maintenance led to the craft being customized heavily by their pilots and mechanics, with this version including optimizations and a better engine to increase its maneuverability and speed. A modern sensor suite and targeting system have also been installed, providing better tracking of enemy ships.
