Prototype: Jedi Vector-class Starfighter
The Jedi Vector is a 12-meter long Starfighter used as an escort fighter. It is built for precise and tactile flight in the atmosphere or a vacuum at the expense of many common features such as shields or most computer systems. Designed to be a physical extension of the Jedi's connection to the Force, the Vector was a sleek and streamlined vessel that emphasized performance and maneuverability and was immensely difficult to control unless a Force-sensitive. Renowned for its speed, it was a highly-precise craft that demanded extreme concentration from its pilot. The weapon systems only activate if a lightsaber is placed on an activation panel in the cockpit, which causes the ship's interior to glow with the color of that lightsaber's blade. A toggle on the control sticks allows the pilot to fire non-lethal or stun blasts. Lacking a hyperdrive, this vessel has great maneuverability and speed, with limited armor. An onboard droid brain provides basic autopilot functionality instead of an astromech.
